Culkin Plumbing and Heating Ltd

I called Culkin to ask if they had a tanker for a blocked drain. They did not, but they have amazing Customer Service. They took the time and effort to find out one that was reputable, and called back to give that advice - which we took. Thank you. This review is based on my experience with them where they removed what had been a nightmare taking up my whole morning.

Outstanding. Boiler had a gas leak and also needed to be serviced. Culkin's were responsive when making the appointment. The engineer was bang on time when attending at 8am (a specific time slot was given and adhered to - not 'in the morning' or 'at some point between 7am-7pm'!) . Professional, pleasant, polite and efficient. Job completed without fuss, huffing and puffing or escalation to additional work 'needed'. I very highly recommend them, and will not use anyone else for any boiler/ heating issues.

We had a bad experience with Culkin Plumbing. First we were not told in advance that their HOURLY rate is £110!! The guy who came to fix our boiler spent 6 hours during 2 visits and didn’t finish the job. He said that we need to replace the pump (that would require a third visit and buying a new pump which means paying another £500 at least). In the invoice we received, the had to pay for the parking although our building has a free parking but the guy who came didn’t ask for it. Later, we hired another company to check the situation to discover that the problem is not related to the pump 😔

Professional and reliable. Danny was great this morning, on time and diligent.

Plumber Demitris was very knowledgeable, polite and extremely tidy. I would use this company again

If you are looking for cowboys comparable to Clint Eastwood then look no further you have done your research well. Will go into greater detail if and when they contact to resolve the matter UPDATE: They have not responded to our several calls. Phone is deliberately screening calls as it hardly rings once before it goes to answerphone. Every call.

Was sent this guy called Danny, omg he’s the best guys you could ever want to fix your problem. Very helpful in testing everything making everything works perfectly fine. Even changing cables if they are old. I am really grateful to have booked them to my mums. Thanks Danny.

We had a leak in our kitchen over night. Within half an hour of phoning we had a plumber on site - he was polite, efficient and managed to fit a new tap from a local supplier. Couldn't ask for more!

Very professional, high quality service - polite and efficient staff. I've been with them for 4 years.

Excellent local plumbing, gas, and heating engineer firm. They have serviced my central heating systems in multiple properties.

Jeff Culkin and his team are efficient and professional, they came quickly to give a quote for a new boiler, assessed different options and were about half the price of others. Once here, they worked hard to install the new boiler in a difficult to reach place (but made adjustments to the space to make it work) and we couldn't be happier. would recommend them to anyone!

Good trustworthy plumbers. Quick to respond and efficient.

I'm so pleased to have found this company. The pricing is fair, the service is good. Once in a while there has been a sullen person on the phone but this is not the norm. Unfortunately, we live in a world where it's hard to find trustworthy plumbers and heating engineers so I am pleased that Culkin scores highly in this area. I use them for my annual service and GSC. I've tried to use them for emergency work and they've not been as responsive, possibly due to capacity otherwise this would be a 5 star review. Unfortunately after a few years of largely positive experiences, we had a horrible experience and it has put me off even using them.

Friendly, competent, efficient, affordable and reliable. Rare to find these qualities for a plumber in London, but Culkin ticks all the boxes. Higlhy recommended by several residents in the area.

Recently had them out for a small repair job. Really good team who are polite, do the job well and in a timely manner and respond to enquires promptly. Would highly recommend!

Great service and did what they said they would do. Would recommend. Seemed a fair price.

Boiler piping and water flow repair completed in a timely. and professional manner, using quality tools, materials and equipment.

An excellent service and well trusted, knowledgeable engineers. I use them for my business and tenants - they are excellent. Highly recommend

Had muliple boiler problems, which Jeff Culkin identified and resolved, working Satirday evening to finish the job. I highly recomend Culkin Plumbing and Heating .

Stuart who attended was punctual, well mannered and did things very efficiently. Left the place very clean and tidy too. We had a new boiler fitted which was completed in 1 day and all old parts taken away. Will definitely use again.

Know their stuff and honest and friendly as well. Called them in our hour of need ... They were very busy but arranged for an engineer to stop over on his way home from work to see what the problem is and diarise a date to fix. Where others had not been able to diagnose, this gentlemen saw the problem in 5 minutes, and also had the replacement part in hand to fix. Additionally, we seemed to have a problem with the underfloor heating pump. "Before you buy a new pump, let me check the wiring." ... Indeed, the problem was just a loose wire. My wife asked: "Do you mind if you have a look at our radiator thermostats." A replacement thermostat immediately fixed that. So what was planned to be a visit to diagnose and diarise, turned out to be a complete fix where others had failed and mis-diagnosed. Definitely 5*. Great to have finally found a reliable, knowledgeable, skillful and honest engineer.

Fixed my electrical hot water/heating boiler problem really quickly, very professional and nice to deal with and highly recommend.

Called yesterday to book an appointment, only to be anseere by “Urgh Hello” Person on the phone firstly has no communication skills and clearly very unprofessional. She said she can send someone at 8am to which I said 11am would be better and said that’s fine. Next day came in and no one turns up at 11am. I call at around 11:20 and the person answering is confused at my appointment then makes me hold the line and says sorry the person has called in sick. Clearly the person yesterday wasn’t competent enough to book my appointment and then I get told the next available date is Tuesday next week. Absolutely ridiculous and pathetic service, I’ve used them many times before as it’s a local business with no issues but this time the service was simply appalling.

Very happy with Culkin Plumbing. High standard of work. Good pricing, too. Thanks to Jerry who did a really great job installing our gas hob and radiators. Much appreciated.

As ever Caulkin Heating and plumbing have some to the rescue. I am a landlord who's central heating broke down in January and it was so cold for the tenants. I called Caulkin but they could come out that day - it was 4pm on Friday afternoon - but would be there first thing on Monday. To help my tenants, I called an emergency recommended plumber. Big Mistake, I was told that my boiler is over 18years old and as such not able to be fixed and that they could replace it for like at a cost of 3500.00 UK pounds. I knew that the boiler was only 8years old and my tenants agreed to wait for Caulkin who came and said there was an issue with the air pressure switch, which they replaced and did 2 more follow up visits and it cost me 362.40 UK pounds. Big difference and I am so glad that my tenants were patient enough to wait as getting a trusted trader who actually knows what they are doing is of huge value to everyone, not just landlords. I will always use them and would highly recommend their professionalism, attention to detail and respectful engineers within the home. I have been using there services for over 3 years, but after this last job, wanted to share this excellent service. You can not go wrong.

Many problems with our flat: they tried to take us for a ride with new boiler, tap, toilet, and mess left on outside wall from boiler installation. Do not use.

Highly recommend, excellent service. Boiler was fixed even no parts on hand but the workman just took it out and back within an hour. I'm sure I will change the yearly check-up service for the boiler from BG to them.

identified problem in complex boiler control system, returned promptly with replacement parts, and fixed everything. every aspect of dealing with Culkin was excellent. recommend them strongly.

Brilliant service, great communication, reliable, on time, no whinging and first class work.

We have used Culkin Plumbing and Heating on multiple occasions. I was always very happy with the service and the price.

Great service and very responsive!

This is the second time we've used Culkin plumbing. They did a great job at a reasonable price, professional and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Very honest and professional company, they fixed my leaking boiler under 1 hour and charged a fair price. Many boiler repair people are cowboys, they charge before coming and later try to rip you off. Culkin plumbing don't charge in advance and they are not liars like others , I will definitely be using them again.

Very professional and comprehensive services, reliable team and quick response Would certainly recommend their services as I was always happy with the quality of their work!

Excellent professional service at a very reasonable price! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service. Dependable. Always a pleasure to work with.

Today I used Culkin Plumbing for the first time and they were excellent. Jeff Culkin attended in person and was very friendly. He and his colleague worked quickly and efficiently. I will definitely be using them again.

Excellent service. Solved a problem quickly and cost effectively that several other plumbers suggested would be something very expense to fix. Thank you very much. I would have no hesitation to recommend Culkin Plumbing and Heating.

Great service and reasonable prices, thoroughly recommend

Had a boiler problem and Jeff came the next day. He also promptly serviced it at the same time. Well recommended! Good knowing we have a friendly professional in the local area.

While staying in Hampstead for holiday, we awoke one day to discover there was no hot water for our showers. We are from the US and were unfamiliar with the water heaters here and, to make matters worse, the private owner of our rental flat was traveling in another country and unreachable by phone. We called Culkin Plumbing and Heating and explained our predicament. He was very kind and understanding, even taking a moment to stop his route to another house call so that I could better hear him on the phone. He immediately recognized our boiler model and being generous with his time and expertise, talked me through a quick fix of adjusting the pressure, which immediately remedied the problem of no hot water. What a lifesaver! I highly recommend Culkin, who I found to be knowledgeable, honest, and most helpful!

Jeff and his colleague Michael provide a reliable, honest and great value service. They problem-solved a difficult issue with our bathroom pluming and were knowledgeable and clear throughout the work. Jeff did not invoice us until the job was complete and he was sure we were happy with the work. I would highly recommend Culkin Pluming to anyone in the local area.

Excellent quality work for a very resonable price! Culkin Plumbing have the ability to think outside the box and fix problems many others can't! Very trustworthy and reliable which is quite rare these days, resulting in us giving Culkin Plumbing all our plumbing jobs!

Excellent service from Jeff- great communication, worked with my tenant to find an appointment, turned up on time and did a great no-nonsense job. Five stars and totally recommended.

Jeff and his colleagues were really helpful, they sourced a replacement fan and fixed the boiler in 1 day (working last min on a saturday for us). Highly recommended.

Culkin Plumbing and Heating showed up on time, quickly found the problem and fixed it completely. The work took a bit longer than anticipated because the plumber wanted to do the job properly but we were still charged the 30 minute rate. Couldn't be happier with the service.

Jeff is a brilliant, trustworthy, friendly plumber who is extremely knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. We used him for a simple problem that had become very complicated for various reasons and he was fantastic at sorting it out for us without charging the earth for having to put in so much extra time. Thank you Jeff! I would highly recommend him

So far I hired Jeff in two occasions, and he proved responsive, reliable, experienced and fair. As a non-resident landlord, I appreciate those qualities very much.

Excellent service. Professional. Reliable. A wealth of expertise and totally honest. I cannot recommend this guy more highly.

Fitted a new boiler - prompt, courteous, and a reasonable price. Excellent service - happy to recommend

I found Jeff responsive (not elusive), reliable and good value. He thinks a problem through well and fixes it, no fuss, no mess. And he's a nice man too.

Ian has twice come at short notice to sort out plumbing faults which appeared in the first few months in our new house. He has been prompt, efficient and extremely competent each time and is also a pleasant person to have around. I would whole heartedly recommend him as a plumber.

Fast and efficient service. The problem was sorted without fuss.

I found Jeff through the Gas Safe site last year in an emergency and couldn't believe how prompt, reliable and fair he was in the installation of my new boiler. His work is top quality, so when our business premises needed the same recently, I was straight back. Once again, his work is out of the top drawer and with absolutely no fuss. His pricing is transparent and he offers clear options. Such a relief to find an engineer to trust. It's not easy, as we all know. 100% recommendation from this extremely happy customer.

Friendly, helpful and professional service. Would recommend.

Jeff has done a number of items of work for me at two properties. The last was replacing tired looking water radiators in my two bathrooms with lovely new chrome towel rails. He also drained and flushed the central heating system and replaced a water pump, which had seized up temporarily just after moving in to my new flat. The work was done quickly, and cleanly, with minimal mess. Jeff is a knowledgeable and very personable chap, who I have no hesitation in recommending. Good work at a good price, with excellent after-care support too. Marvellous!
