The Drain Unblocking Company LTD

Dave and his colleagues were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and honest from the start. They arrived quickly to assess the issue we were having with a blocked drain, and were really clear when explaining how they would fix the issue and how much it would cost. They were also super honest, even performing tests to confirm that other drain issues (further up the pipe and unknown to us) were on a shared drain and therefore united utilities responsibility, even when it would have been very easy to withhold that information and charge us for additional repairs. They made a really stressful situation a whole lot more manageable. Could not rate them more highly!

Super service. Problem solved and future options explained, will definitely use again. Many thanks. Heaton Mersey.

Kitchen sink was backing up badly. Called them late afternoon, they were at my door within two hours. Cleared the blockage with a high pressure hose, no harsh chemicals, no mess. The tech explained what caused it grease buildup and gave me a few practical tips to avoid a repeat. Price was exactly what they quoted over the phone. Quick, clean, and no drama. Would definitely use them again.

What a fantastic company. Agreed to come after only two days and arrived early letting me know they were on their way. They were very professional and made recommendations for the future. Pricing was clear and good value. Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Dave, Rob and the team were amazing, super responsive. Came out, found the problem and fixed it and at very reasonable rates. Lovely guys too. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Dave was open, honest, helped us to understand the issues and the severity, gave us a clear and reasonable quote, booked us in really quickly, worked really hard, was clean and tidy, and is just a really nice guy. Excellent - would use again (but hope we don't have to!).

Dave came out a few weeks ago to unblock a sewer drain that previously United Utilities had been out to and said that it was on my private land and they weren’t responsible for, Dave soon worked out that it wasn’t on my property therefore UU problem. Dave helped me with my complaint with UU, which eventually after they had done there job properly worked out that the problem was a collapsed sewer in my neighbours garden and therefore there responsibility. I would definitely recommend the drain unblocking co.Ltd.

Very good service. Quick and fair. The block wasn't as bad as I thought. So glad I used their services

Fantastic service, Dave has competed a few jobs at various addresses for me. Always on time and very knowledgeable.

I used the Drain Unblocking Co. 2 years ago to clear a blocked internal soil pipe. David efficiently cleared it. I therefore recommended him to my grandson who had a blocked drain at his house. David attended swiftly and soon cleared the blockage.. I can thoroughly recommend the Drain Unblocking Co. to anyone who has the misfortune of drain problems. Swift and efficient service at reasonable prices and very friendly company.

Really speedy response, came out within 24 hours, sorted the issue and have really friendly, no pressure advice on additional remedial works which might make sense to look at. I could not recommend highly enough.

Absolutely brilliant service. I called in the evening for help with the drains at my mother’s house and was surprised when someone answered – I was expecting to leave a message. The problem was solved the following day and I was kept up to date all the while. Can’t recommend the team highly enough! Greg

Excellent service by David and the team. Completed a survey for us and fixed a few key issues, while giving us fantastic advice and guidance for future renovations which still save money in the long run. Easy to communicate with, reliable, and competitive.

Dave is such a personable guy & offered us a next day, late appointment. He had been working for 10.5 hours when he came to us. What a star. I fully understand his 100% 5* rating & we are adding to that. No hesitation in recommending his services.

Good comms, quick service, reasonable price.

Dave provided a great ,professional service when I needed a toilet soil pipe replacing. Dave sourced and worked alongside another company that had to be involved due to dangerous materials on site. He co-ordinated and timed all the work so a smooth job was done. The site was left clean and Dave communicated quickly with me at every stage. Highly recommended.

Honest reliable and does a great job what more can you ask. From first call Dave was fast to respond and answer any questions I had. Sorted me a camera survey on my drains gave me several options to move forward with repair. I want with full drain replacement which was less than expected. When on the job Dave found that not as much work was required and informed me, honest tradesman which aren't too easy to find nowadays. Would recommend

Excellent professional and reliable job by Dave who came from the company. Job was so timely same day service within 1 hour of calling and cleaned up impeccably! Would definitely recommend this company! Thanks again!

Recommended by a neighbour to investigate drain smell in the kitchen. Very helpful and identified the problem as one which the responsibility of United Utilities. Reasonable price and good advice provided. Would definitely recommend.

Dave came round and unblocked our outside drain for us not long after we moved in and it had clogged up. The first time he did it, he assessed the state of the drain system with a camera and told us that it was in a poor state and would keep on happening. Lesson: get a drain survey when you buy a house! We called him out a few times over the next year or so and he graciously only charged us the minimum price rather than the jetwash, as he knew there was a larger problem. Over time he showed us that the pipework was cracked and collapsing. After a few visits, we discussed a solution. He outlined what needed to happen, a big job, but explained it to us in detail and I've learnt a lot as a result. We decided to take him up on his quote to rebuild the system, work that involved digging up the driveway and building a new system entirely. The work was carried out in good time, to a high quality (the driveway looks better than it did before), and he paused and brought us in to look at it to explain strep by step what he was doing. He linked all our separate drains from the house which probably hasn't been looked at in years. A really honest, helpful and cheerful guy, who really helped us out. Thanks for all your work!

This company responded to my query helpfully - and solved the drain blockage swiftly and efficiently. Thanks and I’d recommend to others.

Outside drain overflowing called at 1pm attended 3pm and completed by 3.30. Great job from Dave and thanks for the advice.

I would never ever let anyone else apart from Dave repair anything in relation to pipework. I can trust him (unlike many others who I couldn't) and he keeps his promise of what will be done and when. No rip off's either. Thank you for an excellent service. Bianca P.S. Hope you had a great holiday in the south of France.

Great service. Speedy response and very professional. Dave did a great job, unblocked the drains and explained the issues found and offered advice and guidance. Thank you so much and would happily recommend this company.

In a word - Excellent. Dave came to look at a potential problem I might have and inspect the drains via CCTV. He arrived on time and was thorough, knowledgeable and happy for me to watch what he was doing and explain what he was seeing. I would not hesitate to use again. Highly recommended!

Used The drain blocking company to install a grease trap requested by united utilities. Dave was very knowledgeable, friendly and reliable. Would fully recommend! keep up the good work🤩

Can't recommend The Drain Unblocking Co enough. 5 stars ++++ service. Despite having a full calendar Dave changed his plans to help with an urgent leak from a suspected blocked drain that was causing damage to my property. Arrived within 45 mins and quickly identified the issue. Fixed the problem, left the job tidy and checked up again the following day to make sure everything was OK. This isn't the first time Dave has been out to help with our drains. After numerous plumber visits over a 12 month period, i called Dave and he identified what was causing our smelly drains within minutes and again it was fixed. It is not often you find reliable, knowledgeable and decent tradespeople so I am thankful I have found this company. 100% recommend using The Drain Unblocking Co.

Came out straight away, really nice bloke who sorted it out and gave me good advice. Also very reasonable price.

I'd been suffering with occasional sewage smells in the house for months. I txted The Drain Unblocking Company and they gave me a quote for unblocking straight away. They arrived the next day, quickly diagnosed the problem (sure enough it was blocked). They jet cleaned the blockage away, removed the cause (some broken brick) and showed me on their cctv setup the clean drain and explained everything i wanted to know about my drains, he was very knowledgeable! It was £180 inc vat for the service, worth every penny!

I highly recommend this company. Came on the day and time as promised unlike other companies i have used in the past . Got the job done and a very pleasant person . Will be using this company for all my drainage needs from now on. I highly recommend.

Brilliant service highly recommended

Competent, experienced and equipped. Got the job done efficiently and cleaned up after. Amazing service.

5 star work from start to finish. Dave came out and fixed a blocked toilet and immediately diagnosed the problem. We knew the issue was substandard work from a previous contractor, Dave was clear and fair in quoting follow up work. All work was completed on time and clearly to a high standard. Will gladly use the company again for planned building work

Superb service from start to finish would highly recommend, turned up on time ,friendly service and great work

Very helpful and friendly

Came out within 2 hours of ringing, cleared the block and found the problem. Highly recommended, very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely have them back if needed.

Fantastic work, Dave is really professional and knows everything about drainage. He has a great specialist camera with a long feed that can get into the spaces behind walls- it's like an endoscope for the house! Diagnosed the problem in minutes without disturbing anything at all. Definitely a full recommendation!

Amazing as always. Having used them in our last house to fix the work of some cowboys, we had their number on hand when we needed it. In this house we have been having trouble with a flooding basement. We thought it might be a blocked drain, but once on site they found a gully drain that was so overgrown and collapsed i didn't even know of it's existence. After clearly explaining the problem and having tested the theory with dye, we agreed a course of action and the work was done quick and clean in a single day. Can't recommend them enough. Though wouldn't mind never needing them again if you know what i mean.

Fantastic service

We uncovered a major problem with a broken drain gulley and subsequent flooding of drain water under the suspended floor of our new house. Dave provided an excellent service to replace the damaged gulley and then went above and beyond to return and drain all the smelly drain water out from under the house when we realised the pump i'd bought wasn't up to the job. Reasonably priced and a really nice guy also. Highly recommend.

Came at their next available time to help us, very knowledgeable and unblocked our drain with the pressure jet and cleaned up fantastic. Very helpful and kind, thank you so much :)

Very professional and talented. I had all new drains installed and old ones closed off. Dave helped me plan the new layout and then succeeded where others have failed. A very technical and tricky job overall done to a high standard and with fantastic work ethics. What i really liked was the grade A communication and that the help was also very experienced.

Fantastic Service, very reasonable price. went out of his way to solve the issue we were having!!

Promt friendly helpful service and all at a decent cost 👍

Really good service, quoted me a price for the work and completed it on the given day at the given price. Left my harder back as they found it even after signing down to drains. Also gave good advice in regards to looking out for signs of damp from previous issues. Good quality work, nice friendly guys. Would recommend

Excellent service. Arrived within an hour of my call, identified the cause of the blockage and removed it. Then returned to remove the roots and patch the joins in the drain. All done very efficiently.

They dealt with every part of my drains (from unblocking, a camera survey and then a complete re-fit) and left my garden looking smarter than how they found it! Dave completed the work for a very reasonable price too. Thank you so much!

Called the guys out for what I thought was a simple blocked drain. Turned out it was a bit more complicated. They soon found the problem and worked really hard to get things flowing again and left things clean and tidy. Would definately recommend this company.

Came out quickly and have given us good advice. Was particularly impressed that we were encouraged to contact United Utilities before we commit to further work so we don’t have to pay more if we don’t have to! Would not hesitate to recommend 🌈

David was wonderful, he came to our block of flats and did a wonderful job. He obviously knows his trade and quickly dealt with the problem giving us great confidence in his and Simon's ability to complete the work. He went over and above the work he had to do giving us the benefit of his advice on other matters. Thank you so much David and Simon, we won't ever use anyone else.

Great guys, helped us out- highly recommend! 5 Stars!

Came a couple of hours after I called. Sorted the blockage out.

Really quick response considering the weather, lovely guy, quick turn around would highly recommend and will be keeping his number for any further issues, thank you very much.

What a refreshing change..an honest, reliable, knowledgable tradesman who is willing to go the extra mile and give a good service. After much confusion by a big drain company around whether our flooding rainwater drain was caused by tree roots, or not, we asked Dave to take a look for a second opinion. After camera inspection he could find no blockage or problem with tree roots but suggested we reroot the guttering away from an internal drain linking to a store room to stop any further internal problems ..which was sensible advice for a long term solution. Unfortunately the next downpour of rain caused another flood so we contacted Dave who was very helpful and suggested contacting United Utilities as he thought the problem was off-site, not on our premises. His thoughts were completely right as they also confirmed my drain was clear but they did find a huge tree root blockage off-site which United Utilities are responsibility for. Unfortunately my drain was the nearest point of outlet for the build up of water! Dave has now rerooted the internal drain for us and done a great job. We can not recommend his company highly enough and will be sure to use them again in the future. Thank you Dave for great advice and a great job.

Dave's a really decent bloke and came quickly to clean through the drains at my property. He even went out of his way to do some extra investigations for us and led us to find a few other problems we need to sort. Good service, quick turnaround and competitive pricing

Very professional service. Highly recommend: one of my waste pipes had dislodged causing my drain to overflow. Dave and his team came out immediately to replace the pipe and relay the block paving to a high standard. On another occasion the main United Utilities drain, further down the lane, had become blocked. Dave came out on bank holiday Monday to find out where the blockage was and flushed the main drain through so my neighbours and I could continue to use our facilities until united utilities arrived two days later. Thank you guys.

Unbelievably good service ! I had a major problem with a blocked and overflowing drain. Dave who owns the company , came to our property within half an hour ; on a weekend too Diagnosed the problem , explained everything . A very knowledgeable and professional approach and very efficient too. The problem was quickly resolved and the job done to a very high standard . Reasonable price too. Cannot recommend this company highly enough . They are the very best medicine ever for drain problems . Dr Philip Wander

Used these guys thinking we had a blocked drain however upon inspection with the camera was clear that the problem was more serious and the drain had collapsed under the house Dave was fantastic even talking to the insurance for us as we had no understanding of drains and made sure we had some facilities for the weekend and carrying out the work to a high standard . Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was fantastic he went above and beyond. It was only by chance we found this company but will 100% be recommending them in the future, and hopefully we will never need to but if we ever experience a problem in the future there is absolutely no question who we’ll call ... the drain unblocking company.
