R D Nelmes Electrical

Rich and his team updated our consumer unit and replaced the light switches and fittings throughout the house last year. They did an outstanding job at a very reasonable price with a really quick turnaround. Absolute pleasure to work with.

Very impressed with Rich and Callum. Quick turn around time from initial enquiry to a visit for a quote. The quote was back within a couple of days at a good rate in comparison to others and a full detailed break down of costs. After dealing with Rich I was then introduced to Callum the following week who arrived on time and ready to crack on and that he did. A full days graft in a fiddly old house would drive me mad but he was professional and communicated well from start to finish. To add to that the standard of work was flawless and has set me up comfortably continue my next stages of work. I would highly recommend R D Nelmes Electrical

Rich rewired our house on schedule. Response to queries and questions was really quick. Left house clean and tidy , came back to do another job as well so we’d happily recommend.

Rich and his team completed the electrical installation for my brand new commercial cafe in central Bristol. As well as offering a competitive price, Rich was also able to accomodate my short turnaround and changing timetable due to leasing difficulties, without grumbling and with complete understanding. Rich understood the striped back Industrial style i was looking for, and made some great suggestions regarding the lighting that we actioned. The works were completed on time and on budget, and I'm very satisfied with the end product. Furthermore, when additional works came up, again at short notice, I went directly to Rich who once again accommodated the urgent nature of the works with a final bill that came under the original quote. I will not hesitate to both recommend Rich, and to send any further electrical work of my own in his direction. Many thanks, great job.

Thank you Rich for taking on a difficult challenging repair of damaged cables in a wall. Efficiently done with a very reasonable bill.

I contacted Rich because I needed 3 ceiling lights fitted and since the very beginning Rich was very quick to respond and provided me with a reasonable quote. The whole experience was very positive and I was very pleased with the actual work done. Rich is clean, professional and reliable and I will be using his services again if needed and I would recommend his services to anyone looking for an electrician.

Reliable, an excellent standard of work, kept to COVID safety rules when a lot of trades people don't and I don't hesitate to recommend this electrician.

Brilliant service! Rich and his colleague installed some outside lights and fixed a faulty plug socket for me - communication was always prompt and he fitted me in as soon as he could. Work itself was carried out very efficiently and to a high standard. Rich was even happy for me to send him links to lights so he could give his professional opinion before I bought. Couldn't recommend more!

Rich and his colleague were excellent. They helped work with my difficult requirements and was super prompt with email responses and quotes - to my changing needs! On site, they were COVID safe and cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend and we will use them again.

Brilliant Service - thank you Rich I called at 0930, Rich was here 1050 & new bathroom light installed and working by 1115! Thank you Rich for being so quick to respond and very helpful fitting me in to your schedule straight away. Highly recommend and will use Rich again.

Great work completed by Rich working with our kitchen fitter. Made some good suggestions, which we adopted regarding improvements. Carried out additional work to a high standard. Will use again, top man.

We highly recommend Rich! He is an excellent electrician, very knowledgeable and professional. He was very responsive, clearly understood what we were looking for and quickly provided a quote. He was extremely helpful getting our new saw electrics ready and provided great advise!

Moving house and needed an electrical safety certificate. Rich was on time, very knowledgeable and even performed a minor repair. Very pleased overall.

Would really recommend rich, really friendly, helpful and very responsive. He went above and beyond for us, assisting and advising us with our light fittings, so happy with the final product, left the room looking great! Very clean when completing the jobs, helping to tidy afterwards - couldn’t recommend more!

R D Nelmes completed a rewire along side a full renovation of a house for me and my family. He clearly understood what we were looking for and quickly provided a quote. He carried out the work on time and to a high standard. I work in construction and I have struggled over the last few years to find electricians that meet a high professional standard. Rich ticks all the boxes and I would happily recommend him and his team.

Called Richard to investigate socket fault in the kitchen. The fault was traced and part of the ring main was rewired. At every stage their was a clear explanation of what was being done. The rewiring was carried out with minimum damage to walls and flooring. Throughout Richard and colleague paid due attention to social distancing. Price very reasonable. Highly recommended.

It was worth choosing someone with great reviews - Rich provides an excellent service at a reasonable price, I'm really pleased with the result. He recently installed electric supplies in two detached garages at my home just outside Bristol. He came to quote very quickly and at a convenient time, then was able to start the work quickly and was done in a couple of days. He was very helpful and accommodating - always checking my preferences during the installation. Ultimately I have such peace of mind knowing the work was done and certified by a professional. I won't hesitate to contact Rich for other jobs in future. Highly recommended!

Turned up on time, got the job done efficiently, competitive price and friendly service. All good.

Richard is great! He has helped me twice in the last month, once to fit a new hob and another time to fix an error I had made. On both occasions Richard has answered straight away and been able to sort the problem the very same day! He is professional, reliable and I would highly recommend. I will definitely be contacting him for any other electrical jobs I have.

Professional and excellent quality service and workmanship. Rich and his team are clearly very knowledgeable and provided guidance and inspired electrical design and installation for our extension. Friends and family have commented on the automatic lighting features throughout our property which has turned our house into a home. Would highly recommend.

Richard and his team installed electrics and lighting in our large cattle barn. The quality of the work seems to be excellent and the service and comminication was prompt.

R D Nelmes Electrical were recommended to me to replace a main fuse box and provide new cooker cct and shower cct at my property. The company were first class in dealing with my requests and completed the work to my time frame in a very professional way. I would recommend using them in the future as the work was done with care and the price reasonable.

Hired Rich to Consolidate some consumer units on my property. Rich came round and gave honest advice on what to do with the installation. He managed to do the work on an available date I specified, and completed the job in the timeframe quoted. Can't be happier with the work as the work is to a very high standard.

Very prompt response, with my problem sorted the same day but a lovely electrician at a very fair price. Can thoroughly recommend

R D Nelmes have been installing electrics into our extension that is currently under construction and have also installed a new fuse box for the whole house. The work has been carried out to a very high standard by R D Helmes with all of the light and power sockets and the fuse box all installed perfectly to the eye with further work to be done to install under floor electric heating. R D Nelmes have staged the installation to allow for painting and subsequent floor laying. We will certainly use this company in the future for our electrical needs.

Selected Richard through his website which was easy to navigate and straight forward explaining what work he undertook. He contacted me quickly, after I left a message and gave me a quote which I considered reasonable. He was punctual, personable, and very efficient in undertaking his checks. Explained anything I didn't understand and where necessary any action required. What topped it off is that most of the administration, involved in the process, is done digitally. Would certainly recommend to anyone requiring an experienced electrician.

Rich works regularly on my dear old house, garage and garden...repairing electrical wear and tear, up grading lighting and new electrical installations...for over the last 5 years and every job has been perfect. Rich focuses on attention to detail, he is efficient and tidy. Highly recommended for not just his skill, he also cares and has a great sense of humour!

Excellent in all respects, came out with 2 days notice, identified the long-standing problem with the electrics in the boiler, which needed a plumber assist, but that was fixed the next day. Offered follow up advice immediately after I asked. Definitely highly recommended, will use again in future.

I am very pleased with the work that Rich has done for me, I had a number of jobs that needed doing, I am also very pleased with my new lights in my living room that Rich fitted , I will use Rich again if I need to have any electrical work doing, I will be recommending Rich to my family and friends.

I would highly recommend using Rich; very friendly, reliable and did a fantastic job. I would definitely use him again.

Would definitely recommend! Rich did a fantastic job on the lighting in our shop. We were unsure on what to go with to get the look we wanted and he helped with design and styling - it looks better than we imagined. We wouldn’t think of going to anyone else if we ever need an electrician.

We are delighted with our re-wire job in our house and lights, fire alarms in our new extension. Rich is one of those tradespeople you can rely on and will ensure to help you out with everything from design stage through to a professional fit. Thank you again.

Rich carried out several jobs tidily, thoroughly and without fuss - including supplying and fitting a terrific in-line fan for the bathroom (much better kit than DIY stores sell) as well as running a new supply from consumer unit to airing cupboard . He also carried out a full inspection we had asked for with great diligence and attention. Very happy and impressed.

Rearranged dates to fit job in earlier (much appreciated). Fixed upstairs lighting circuit problem. Supplied and installed new light above sink and rejigged ceiling bathroom lights junction box so now more accessible. Happy to look at other elec niggles. Very helpful, trustworthy and reliable. Even let me borrow his hammer!

Rewired a church 5 years ago & recently undertook Electrical and Emergency Lighting Tests. All carried out to our complete satisfaction

Rich was great for us, he helped us when we had our garden landscaped and installed new lights in our garden. He was on time, proactive and also helped us with ideas that fitted to our budget, I would not think twice recommending Rich or using him again, excellent service.

I’d highly recommend Rich / R D Nelmes Electrical. Quick to respond, clear information and happy to advise, professional and competitively priced. He’s my ‘go to’ electrician as he’s super reliable and great to deal with

Rich is the most professional electrician we could have hoped to find to carry out a full electrical inspection on the property we have recently moved into. He arrived on time, and we felt he really respected our home while he was here working. The survey showed we needed a new consumer unit, which Rich quoted for and involved another days work. Again this was carried out on time in a really professional manner. Rich has emailed us over all the relevant certificates for the installation which he has registered to NICEIC. I would really recommend Rich if you are looking for a friendly, professional and hardworking electrician.

Great lighting design, excellent service Would recommend !!
