Limewire Electrical & Building services limited

Updated review further to consumer board installation: Limewire were punctual, courteous, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. They carried out a pre-EPC electrical visual condition report for me and took the time to explain everything clearly. It's rare to find tradespeople this reliable and easy to deal with. I've subsequently had them back to carry out a full EICR and replace my consumer unit. The standard of work throughout was excellent. The new board is a FuseBox 15-way full RCBO unit with a Type 2 SPD and 100A isolator, installed to BS 7671 18th Edition standards with every circuit individually protected. The work was NAPIT certified, fully certified with an EIC, and the circuit schedule is clearly labelled and future-proofed for an EV charger, additional kitchen circuits, and more. What stood out was that Paul took the time to work through the spec with me properly — explaining the options, accommodating changes, and making sure the installation was right for the long term, not just the minimum required. Bonding, earthing, and remedial's from the EICR were all addressed as part of the same visit. I'd happily recommend Limewire to anyone who needs a trustworthy, NAPIT registered electrician who takes real pride in their work.

Great guy!!! Nathan explained the work in detail what is required, friendly and trustworthy I would recommend to anyone. Thank you again for your help and Service!!!

Very well educated in there work! So professional & on time! Top high quality work! Would definitely recommend!!

Amazing work. I contacted Paul after my dads passing & suddenly having a house with a tenant to sort. Paul came out did an electric assessment & everything needed sorting. The work was don’t quickly & I was kept up to date every step of the way. Thank you again for being so understanding & brilliant job well done, Dan

My property needed a new fuse board, EICR and other updates. Paul and team were professional, courteous and reliable throughout. Cannot thank him enough for the job done (to the highest standard). Will definitely use again! Thankful to have a trusted and talented electrician .

I contacted Limewire Electrical through a friend who recommended them to me. I contacted the Company for a quote and advice on updating a worn-out inline extractor fan for my bathroom. I WhatsApp them first and had a very fast response. So no waiting around which was good I asked for a price for a ceiling fan, but I hadn't explained myself clearly. It wasn't until we were ready to have this updated when I realised I'd confused them about what type of extractor fan we needed. What impressed me was there patience with messages but they never gave up and I eventually sent photos and explained in more detail the work required. I was given a quote the same day which was great and because they took time, knowing my requirements they did not have to waste anytime and spared a visit just to see the work. I agreed a quote which was very reasonable paid 50% deposit via bank transfer knew this was a genuine company as well so it wasn't a scam and given a date for 2 weeks later to do the work. What was nice was them explaining they were busy and they apologised for not being able to come out sooner. It made me think well they must be good and had jobs on the go and already had customers booked in. We agreed a time for 10am for Tuesday 21st April today! I received a WhatsApp message as a reminder and they attended at 10am kept to the agreed time. Worked efficiently with a young pleasant apprentice who did a good job cleaning up after the Electrician. I had purchased a fan grill which was the right size they did have a smaller one but I was lucky this fitted in the gap and I was pleased and they took time to seal around the edges for a smooth finish and it fitted perfectly. I just felt sorry as my loft had birds nests and a few skeletons of birds heads! One they showed me! It is a 1930's house and they mentioned about an old water tank that was wobbly something I should get looked at. They cleared up left it spotless with my extractor in line ceiling fan working again! I do need some further electrical work doing soon and want to have an outdoor front light fitted so I will be back for more work and I will certainly recommend this company to relatives, friends and neighours. Thank you for providing us with great customer service and we would highly recommend this company for any electrical works. I will be in touch about my outside light. 👋👍

Highly recommend Paul, he completed an EICR report for me. Great communication & prompt professional service. I would definitely use again

Limewire were punctual, courteous, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. They carried out a pre-EPC electrical visual condition report for me and took the time to explain everything clearly. It’s rare to find tradespeople this reliable and easy to deal with. I’d happily recommend them to anyone who needs a trustworthy, NAPIT registered electrician.

Can't say how grateful I am to Paul at Limewire following being let down by a few electricians. Very reliable, arrived when expected for assessment, advice and quote and the same when coming back to actually carry out the necessary work. Explained the job very clearly and succinctly and the work carried out was done very efficiently and professionally. Would recommend Paul and Tom 100%.

Absolutely brilliant, sorted out an issue left by previous (tradesmen) returned and moved the EV Charger for me. Arrived at stated time, completed the job without delay, and cleaned up. Work 100% Cost 100% Would definitely recommend Paul.

I needed an electric car charging point, and Paul provided an excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommended and professional. Sets the standard for electrical services.

Paul at Limewire and his apprentice fitted a new consumer unit and sockets for an ev. Really good job, good communication and keeps you informed. Really pleased with the work and nice fella too.

Just had an ev charger fitted by Paul and Tom. They have done a great job. Quick install and very neat work. When they finished you wouldn't have known they had been here as they left the place spotless. Set me up on the app and sent over the all important certificates. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone. Cheers lads. 😊

Paul and his colleague Tom did a full rewire of my house and I couldn’t be happier with the work. Everything has been done to a high standard, and it’s clear the setup has been future-proofed with attention to detail. Paul was flexible and accommodating when I needed to make a few changes during the job, which I really appreciated. The price was fair, communication was easy, and he’s just a great lad to deal with — friendly, professional, and knows his stuff. He also suggested a few useful upgrades I hadn’t thought of, like adding isolators for the kitchen appliances, which turned out to be really helpful. Highly recommended.

These guys are awesome, I couldn't recommend Limewire enough. Super professional, really friendly, tidied up after themselves, and did an amazing job fitting my new EV charger. They were also really reasonably priced, and gave me invaluable advice for dealing with providers.

I had Limewire Electrical in to install a new EV charger. Cannot fault the service received from them from the initial quote through to the install. They kept me informed at all times, explained the options I had and the process they would follow to ensure it was installed correctly in-line with all the necessary regulations. I received all the necessary certificates for future reference. They respected my property at all time and I have no hesitation recommending them for any electrical work.

Paul had just finished a 2 day job doing various jobs within my home. All work has been completed to a very high standard, but what really stood out was Pauls communication throughout the work. I received regular updates with photos and easy to understand explanation. Even though he did extra work he stuck to the price quoted, which was really kind. All the paperwork/certificates were received same day. Excellent service. Would definitely recommend tk friends and family.

Paul and his apprentice Tom have just finished a full rewire on my Victorian house and I couldn’t be happier! He replaced all of the ancient wiring, including VIR cables which went out of use in the 60’s and were a major fire hazard. The electrics are now completely up to standard and have been registered with the local building control. His attention to detail and quality of work is second to none. He kept me up to date the whole time throughout the job, sending me pictures and videos as he went along. The price I paid was that I was quoted, no hidden costs or trying to up sell. Even when I changed the goalposts a couple of times throughout. He was able to find alternative routes as I didn’t want to remove the flooring downstairs and did so with minimal wall chasing. I would highly recommend Paul and Tom to anyone as they are honest, reliable and a great laugh too! Thanks again!

Great professional; very open and knowledgeable. Installed new security light and removed old speakers with no problem, and was able to advise on a range of electrical issues. Would definitely call Paul again. Update: Have had Paul around for a number of other complex jobs and he continues to be a very safe pair of hands — other electricians have cancelled on us, but Paul has always come through. He’s always up for explaining what exactly the job entails and giving honest and candid opinions on the job as well.

Had a bathroom fan put in at a very reasonable price. The fan is excellent (very quiet but powerful) and I am very happy with the workmanship which is top quality. There was no mess, very clean and tidy. Excellent communication with Paul from start to finish. He is professional, pleasant and really knows his stuff. If you need an experienced Electrician make Limewire your only choice.

Had Paul and Bob ( his apprentice) to change the consumer unit in my house. Well Paul did it Bob watched. He came out a couple of weeks ago to do the quote, did plenty of checks as I still had an old fashioned unit in. He did not want me to waste my money if my electrics were not up to scratch for the new unit. He could have told me I needed a complete re-wire but luckily they were fine. He arranged a date and time to come and was here exactly as he said he would be. A big plus when so many people seem to be unreliable. He was quick tidy, explained everything to me and did it at a fair price. I love the fact he is taking the time to teach a youngster his trade. Very highly recommended. He will definitely be back to do some more work for me when needed.

Cannot thank Paul from Limewire enough - he and Tom the apprentice sorted out a botched job by another spark and also replaced our consumer unit for us - he was brilliant from start to finish, came out promptly to give us a (very fair) quote, fitted us in this week and has done an amazing job. We will be getting him back to quote for future work on the house and have to say if you’re looking for an honest, reliable and skilled electrician look no further than Limewire. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Installed and set up a chandelier in my home for a very reasonable price, very professional and friendly service. Did an excellent job and will certainly be using them again!

Only just got around to giving Limewire a review a few months after we've had work completed in our home. Paul carried out a full home electrical safety check, fitted a new, up to date consumer unit and fitted 2 extra indoor sockets. Both the electrical check and consumer unit came with a full certificate. Paul is very professional, he won't cut corners, offers sound advice and was a really tidy, efficient and friendly tradesperson. His comms are good and he is punctual. His pricing was fair and reasonable. He will be the first electrician I call when I require this kind of work carrying out in the future.

Fantastic company. Fitted my PIV unit quickly and professionally

Paul was absolutely amazing. It’s no secret that I was a nervous wreck having a full rewire (which was an unexpected cost when we’d bought our home). He firstly explored other options we may have unlike other electricians but ultimately we made the decision to take the plunge. Everyone knows rewires are messy and can be destructive but there is minimal damage to our home, only minor plastering which is expected. He stayed in touch throughout to ensure I was happy with everything, and has even checked in in the aftermath a few times. Shoutout to Tom too, his apprentice who worked super hard. Would definitely recommend and use again!

Paul did a great job changing our fuse board and we would be happy to use him again for future work

We had an electrical fault overnight and Paul from Limewire was able to get to us the same day to make a repair and check everything was safe. Great service and competitive rate - highly recommend

Great service from Limewire, very reliable and a good job. Explained everything to me which I found helpful. When there was a slight problem they came back and sorted it straightaway. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to anyone.

Paul's was very professional and helpful with everything. Fast reply for all my questions. Would recommend.

Paul was incredibly accommodating and very helpful. Did his best to try and make the repair/replacement of our EV charger as painless and inexpensive as possible. Very professional with excellent communication, replying to emails very quickly. Very highly recommend.

SO impressed with Paul. He was helpful on the phone, turned up when he said he would, talked through all the work that would be needed and gave a good price. All work completed to a very good standard and showed us what had been done. We’ve already asked Paul to complete more electrical work.

Highly recommended, came out for an electrical emergency and quickly helped identify the issue.

Paul came round very quickly to provide a quote and fitted me in around his current work so I had a working EV charger before obtaining my car. He was friendly and very informative and completed the work to a very high standard leaving no mess behind. Would 100% recommend him to anyone

We had a great experience with Paul at Limewire. A cooker hood installation with some tricky building work that others were reticent to do. We had great communication beforehand, Paul and his colleague arrived early, did a perfect job in good time, and left everything tidy after a lot of drilling work, all for a good competitive price to boot. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Limewire and would happily call on them again when needed. Thanks!

Great job and helpful for an ongoing issue too.

Paul was quick to respond to a request for a new consumer unit and some extra sockets. He was the 4th electrician I had been in contact with and the only one to tell me he can get the job done no problem and with a reasonable price (others had quoted an extortionate amount or telling me I had to pay for another service first before they would quote for the whole job etc). Works done to a high standard. Friendly and reliable service provided. Helped out with an issue I had that needed a fix asap so he could provide certificates. Great communication throughout and follow up to make sure the external issue was fixed for me. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to get Paul back if I needed other electrical work doing in future.

Paul was just fantastic. Our kitchen was shorting out. He responded the same day to my online enquiry, got me booked in to him assess everything within the week. On the day he was punctual and really professional. Despite the plan being only for assessment, he found the issue and actually fixed it then and there. Identified other key issues which were non urgent so we can get those properly fixed too. Sent all documents the same day. Literally nothing at all I can fault about the business and will use them again in a heartbeat.

Paul was brilliant he done a fantastic job.if anybody needs a electrician Paul is your man he was very informative and helpful 10out of10 .

Just want to say a huge thanks to Paul @ limewire electricals , had a quite few electrical issues at our property and paul as promised attended on time and sorted each and every issue that needed fixing. Brilliant professional service and excellent communication skills. Very pleased with the service and will be our regular electrical service point in the future. I would heartedly recommend paul @ Limewire electricals for any electrical jobs that you may need.

Absolutely fantastic service from Paul at Limewire. First engaged him to do an EICR earlier this year which he did with such precision and care for our property and put a lot of time and effort in to making sure all done properly. This found a fault so we booked him back to do a fault find day. He managed to find and fix the fault with very little decorative repair needed and was extremely thorough. We will be using Limewire services again for future work and would absolutely recommend.

Massive thank you to Paul from Limewire Electrical for installing my brand a New Consumer unit as well as replacing an extremely damaged shower isolator at my home today. I couldn't be more impressed with the service provided! From the moment Paul arrived, it was clear that he was highly professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to thoroughly explain what needed to be done, ensuring I understood every step of the process. His friendly demeanor made the entire experience comfortable and stress-free. The quality of his work was outstanding. The consumer unit was installed with precision, and the replacement of the damaged shower isolator was done meticulously. He ensured that everything was up to the highest safety standards, giving me peace of mind. What stood out the most was his commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. He went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect, even taking the time to tidy up afterward. His dedication to his craft was evident in every detail. Paul’s combination of expertise, professionalism, and friendliness makes him an excellent choice. I would highly recommend Limewire to anyone in need of electrical work ☺️

I can't recommend them enough. I was left with a mess by a bad electrician. I found him through the competent person website when I messaged asking for help he was super helpful on what the work should look like and confirmed I was right to not be happy. He came and fixed it, really neat and tidy. Reasonably priced and said he'd back me up when I complain to Checkatrade. I'm glad I've found a good tradesperson who cares about the work they do and leaving you with something you're happy with.

Limewire electrical installed a new consumer unit in our home today. Paul is very professional and knowledgeable and we felt 100% confident in his ability. Would have no hesitation in using or recommending him in the future.

Very pleased with service received, found Paul to be very flexible and accommodating in suiting our availability from attending to price for initial quote to then completing the works. On the day of works they arrived early, were very polite & checked with myself that I was happy with the height for the kitchen ceiling and the location of the spotlights before installing them. Left area clean & tidy before they left. Excellent work and would definitely recommend Paul and would use again. Very happy with our new kitchen ceiling.

I had an excellent experience with Limewire, thanks to Paul’s outstanding work. He did a great job on what was a complex rewire and storage heater installation. Very reliable and great communication. Highly recommended!

Paul installed exterior lights and an extractor fan for us. He was super polite and professional. Really impressed with the attention to detail and care he put into the job - we will definitely use Limewire Electrical again!

Absolutely top class service from Paul (& his colleague). Paul came to do an initial check, prompt, on time and very thorough and specific. On the day he completed the work, he arrived early and prepared everything efficiently. Top class service, he didn’t stop all day and was very precise in making sure the job looked top quality. I highly recommend using Paul and his company. Top job and we are delighted with the work.

Superb service fitted my Bathroom lights and cleaned up thoroughly after the work was completed. I have recommended them two several people as I am very pleased with the workmanship quality. All future electrical work will be Limewire

I would 100% recommend Limewire to everyone. The electrician was brilliant, he does what you ask and cleans up when finished. He was polite, honest, very caring and helpful. He would answer other electrical questions and not push you for more jobs. I will definitely phone for more jobs.

Paul was very kind in helping an old deaf lady with her doorbell. Paul made sure it was safe and in working order without incurring unnecessary expense. We really appreciate his efficient and honest assessment of the situation and for his care and attention to detail. We shall share his number with friends as we recommend his Services.

Great job. Arrived on time. Speedy service. Exactly what I wanted

Excellent service and quick to respond. After a failed EICR completed by a different electrician, then quote "I wouldn't know where to start". I got in touch with Limewire, Paul came and systematically worked through each issue and provided a quote to fix everything. I'd highly recommend Limewire to anyone looking for any electrical work.

Quick and efficient. Will use again in the future!

Paul was very professional, fast and reliable from start to finish. I would highly recommend and will be using him for any electrical work needed in the future. Thanks again.

Great service from Limewire - used the guys twice now and no job is too little or too much. They keep you updated from the point of contact until the job is done. Punctual and tidy as they go, won’t be using any other electricians now as the work is a very good standard.

Paul carried out a variety of jobs for me: an EIHC report, disconnect a fire, instal new pendant fittings, take down a brick breakfast bar and instal extra sockets. He arrived on time, tidied up as he went and is totally trustworthy to leave in a property. So glad I found him - I wouldn't bother with any other electrician and will be asking him back to do more work.

Really great experience with these guys. Punctual, fully equipped for the job, great customer interaction and they worked really cleanly and tidied everything on their way out. Really impressed with their professionalism and overall conduct and high quality workmanship.

Professional, stuck to his time and date he said he would and fixed my very annoying electrical issue. Would recommend definitely. And I'm saving his number for any future use.

Loveliest person with impeccable service every time. Would always recommend Paul to anyone

Paul at Limewire has done fantastic work for me. He is communicative and reliable, arrives on time, he knows his stuff and does a thorough job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Paul was quick to respond to my initial query. The communication was good throughout. Paul was friendly and professional and his work at replacing three high up outside security lights was neat, tidy and to a high standard. Paul quoted a good price and when any issues/glitches were found ie snow & ice he found a work-around to ensure the job was done, explaining everything very well. He is super efficient and takes pride in his work ensuring attention to detail. Paul replaced and added new sockets inside at the same time as the outside work, which he agreed and carried out on the spot and we are extremely grateful we didn’t have to wait ! Paul is reliable and now our go to electrician and I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Nothing but good things to say about Paul from limewire , fixed several faults that 2 other electricians could not fix he also upgraded our 3 phase consumer unit in our cafe, highly recomended

Thank you so much Limewire for taking the time to help us work out the problem with power to our kitchen. Really appreciated your generosity at this busy time. Breakfast is on us if you are in the area !!! Thank for ensuring we can bake our bread tomorrow !!

Absolutely brilliant service - they took the time to visit in advance to ensure all of our connections were suitable and then fitted our new electric oven and hob. Really grateful for how efficient and reliable he was (especially right before Christmas!) 10/10 - would definitely recommend them.

Absolutely made up with Paul and his work! His work is second to none, he's a perfectionist, works super neat, tidy and most importantly thoroughly! His customer service well exceeded any expectations, he came to price a small job, we ended up giving him a few more things to do on the house as he was so informative and helpful. Got a quote sent out to me the same day and booked in within the week!! Will be keeping his details as my number 1 electrician and will highly recommend him!!

Limewire were brilliant! Great communication throughout. Arrived on time to check job, quoted fair price, fitted it in really quickly. Arrived as said and cracked on straight away completing all work well and in good time. As they fitted new lights removed defunct alarm & fixed several glitches it was clear they knew their way around the old wiring set up. They were a pleasure to have around, tidy and professional. Would definitely ask in future and recommend to others.

I can highly recommend Paul at Limewire Electrical. Paul’s communication was brilliant from the moment I sent my enquiry to the day of the job. Big green flag! Paul is efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and was so neat & tidy when completing the work. All work was completed to a very high standard too. I am very pleased with the results! I will definitely be booking Paul again for future work needed, thank you Paul 😊

Excellent service from Paul at Limewire super friendly, explained everything very well with regulates to testing and current regulations, very very neat work which also got praised on Instagram by lots of other electricians , highly recommended.

Fast to respond to our initial messages, and quick job done with no issues at all. Would recommend and use this company in the future!

One of the best trades people I've dealt with. Reported an issue with our shower isolator on Sunday afternoon and the quick safety advice and subsequent work we had done in no time at all was faultless. All replaced, working perfectly once again. Would 100% contact for work again in future.

I have used this business twice and about to book another job. No hesitation in recommending. Outstanding service and professional.
