V & A Burgess Ltd, Electrical Faults Fixed

Arrived well on time, went over and above to get things right for us. Was very efficient and did a great job; working within the set timescale

I had several jobs that needed doing so I requested V & A Burgess Ltd, Electrical Faults Fixed to complete them. Paul was very professional, friendly and gave me information to help me understand the faults he found (in fact he found a fault that was potentially lethal and putting me and my family at risk that we didn't know about, that someone else we had paid to do some work had done - so Paul was literally a life saver!). He maintained a clean working area, leaving it in the same state it was in before. He actually did more than was required of him and I could tell he worked to a very high standard. To be honest we can't thank him enough for his help! Now we've got a better and safer home. Thank you again Paul, you're a st🌟r!

Excellent and responsive service - work completed to a high quality!

Really pleased with fitting of new light fitments, great service from Paul, reliable, and fair price price for good quality work.

I called Paul and he gave me some free advice over the phone which required a simple fuse change. A whole weekend without any lights in my garage and half of the sockets not working and all we needed was a new fuse. He showed us exactly what to look for and everything is working again. What a genuinely nice man. It’s so refreshing to know there are decent, honest trades people still around. 5 stars ++++

Very efficient and quality service from Paul, made up with the work he did for me and very punctual

This evening, all the power points in my kitchen failed meaning that all my appliances went off - including the fridge and freezer !!! Desperately, I tried to get hold of an electrician but, for several reasons given, none were willing to come out - or they wanted to charge ridiculous sums to do so. Eventually, a friend gave me the number of an electrician she had used, telling me he was good. So, I contacted the gentleman, called Paul, and he certainly is a gentleman. We discussed the problem via text after which I was asked to perform certain procedures. This I did and, by the end of our "conversation", I had all plugs working whilst having discovered that one of my appliances is faulty and, therefore, causing the problem. Tomorrow, we shall find out which one. I cannot thank Paul enough. He is clearly extremely knowledgeable, skilled and practical - using this method to help where he can. He also has a sense of humour, which is good in circumstances like these when I was anything but happy to begin with. I cannot recommend Paul highly enough and wish him well in everything he does. M E Protheroe

I recently had some electrical work done at home and ended up worrying myself about some of the wiring that I wasn't 100% sure about. My home was built in the '90s, and as a result, my fuse box etc. aren't quite as up to date as they should be. I rang Paul late on a Sunday evening hoping to get some expert advice (and a second opinion), and he couldn't have been more professional, understanding and reassuring. He listened carefully to my concerns and agreed that they were valid - but then went on to explain how they ultimately weren't anything to worry about. He could have easily booked me in for a visit and charged me for an emergency callout, but instead he was kind enough to talk through my concerns and offer the reassurance I needed. We ended up chatting about a few other things in relation to the original issue, and I never once felt like he was trying to get me off the phone or sell me anything. I ended the call satisfied I'd spoken to someone who knew exactly what they were talking about, and I immediately saved his number in my phone. Next time I have an electrical emergency, or need any electrical work done at all for that matter, he will be the first person I call. Thanks again, Paul!

Very very helpful.. highly recommended. I was drawn to this company because of their post online discussing problems of intermittent tripping. I rang and they sorted my concerns immediately and thoroughly Top guy. Thank you so much.

Would highly recommend Paul. Messaged him in the evening, responded straight away, asked me to test a couple of things to make sure it wasn’t something I could fix myself. Once satisfied that there was a genuine issue he called soon after. Arrived dead on time after messaging me beforehand. Great guy, very knowledgeable, sorted the problem and did some other testing to make sure everything was safe and working properly. Very reasonable price. Would most definitely use again.

Had an electrical emergency late at night when half the power in my house went out unexpectedly. I contacted Paul. He responded immediately and arrived quickly, was incredibly professional, and diagnosed and fixed the problem in no time at all. Thanks Paul

I had a fantastic experience as a customer, with Paul, the electrician. From start to finish, he has been incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. Communication was clear and timely—every question I had was answered with patience and respect. It’s rare to find someone who not only knows their trade but also treats their clients with such genuine care. Paul has also been consistent with his outstanding work ethic and good character, since I contacted him a while go. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for quality work, a truly positive experience and someone with such excellent knowledge. I will be returning again, to use his services in the future and I’ll be highly recommending him to friends and family. Thank you Paul, for all your help, you’ve been fantastic and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you Fleur.

I contacted V&A Burgess to do an electrical inspection for me. I'd been advised by a previous electrician that the house wiring was old and probably needed replacing. Paul came today and tested everything thoroughly. He was able to reassure me that, at this moment, the wiring is safe. I will probably get it checked periodically now. Paul arrived promptly and was very friendly, polite and professional. He also patiently answered my queries. I would highly recommend him. Thanks Paul.

Outstanding Service – Highly Recommended I needed some electrical work in my home, as plug for washing machine seemed to have cut out and I could not be more impressed with the service provided. First, Paul was prompt and professional. He arrived on time, fully prepared, and immediately took the time to assess the issue thoroughly. He stayed to check everything worked afterward which we really appreciated but he also ensured that everything was tested thoroughly before finishing. If you're looking for a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy electrician, I highly recommend Paul

Absolutely top fella. Went out of his way to help. I rang a couple of other local ones before him who were quite unhelpful and abrupt. This guy went out of his way to resolve my issue from start to finish. Amazing 🤩

Paul has been great in fixing our downstairs lights. Did a fault find and identified the issue quickly. Paul is clearly very knowledgable. He quickly identified we had nailed into a wire and fixed this.Place was left spotless when he had finished. Really hard to get good tradesmen.. I would recommend to anyone.

Great experience with V & A Burgess Ltd - quick response to my text and very helpful with guidance in checking causes for my electrical fault.

Paul was recommended by a friend. Very easy to arrange a call out. Sourced an old part for a circuit breaker. Arrived on time and replaced the part very quickly. Took time to explain the problem. Excellent service.

Paul can out to my property on Saturday and carried out several tests and readings and was wonderful. He explained what was going on with my electric and quickly came up with solutions for me. He then came out again this week and did further tests.

Paul was Absolutely wonderful We are currently renovating our house, I went out for about 30 minutes, my partner decided it would be a good idea to change a few plug sockets and light switches, she had managed to do 2 plugs and 3 light switches in this time which was quite an achievement. Sadly this left us without any power at all to the house, I was quite impressed of the level of devastion that could be achieved in just 30 minutes, but this left us in the dark on a Friday night. Called up, and paul was round within 90 minutes did an efficient fault finding to identify and rectify the multiple issues in under an hour. Paul was great, really recommend this company couldn't have been more efficient. Paul may also be the last person that saw me alive when my partner reads this review.

Answered very swiftly and was very informative and helped me a lot considering I didn’t pay nothing just dropped a text deffo recommend

Extremely kind and helpful, went out of his way to assist and give me help with a mystery electrical fault and gave different options for what I could do in future if the problem reoccurred . I would definitely recommend

Had Paul and Kate out today to fit electrical cable from the main box into the box room and out onto the exterior wall, so we can get our Hot tub fitted on Thursday, very reliable, friendly and on time and the workman shift was above and beyond are expectations, they worked excellent as a team, and they cleaned up after themselves and as I am a fussy individual I couldnt fault there workmanships, I would definitely recommend them to people I know and I will be calling them back if I ever need an electrician again 10/10 well done, thank you again.

Excellent and confidence inspiring visit. Quickly and thoroughly sourced problem and remedied promptly with a clear description of fault. Many thanks

Great service from Paul. Highly efficient and good communication.

Hired Paul from V&A Burgess Ltd for an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EIC) on a property purchase. He carried out an extremely thorough inspection and produced the report same-day. Paul is fantastic at breaking down the complexities of electrical issues and systems to a layperson. You can tell he cares about his work. He made sure we understood the report via a follow-up call, presenting the information simply with images for our records. He didn’t push any further services onto us, just outlined risks and different solutions. We would hire Paul again for any future electrical works. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant and professional electrician I will really recommend it ‼️

Paul came to complete a electric safety certificate today and was amazing. He was happy to explain things and give friendly tips. He was professional and polite! You can tell he is passionate about his job and business.

Very prompt and professional when we needed an emergency call out. Would recommend!

Paul came to fit a new oven and make some electricals safe. Was very prompt. Worked clean and efficiently and did an amazing job. Would highly recommend.

We contacted Paul after electrics started tripping last weekend. We have had problems with electrics over last 2 years or so which previous electricians have never really sorted. So efficient and maximised his hour call out. He found 2 issues 1 of which he needs to return to sort. This was arranged right away with full explanation of problem and how he will fix it. Would highly recommend using Paul if you are suffering with problem electrics and he is a lovely bloke too.

Called Paul as I have an intermittent RCD fault that only happened after new external lights were fitted. The original electrician told me this was coincidence, leaving me no option bug to source another electrician. He spent days fault finding and addressed a range of faults, bug when it rained, my RCD tripped again. I called Paul as he is advertised as a fault finding electrician. He very kindly spent time talking me through various scenarios and suggesting that I monitor the fault and remain with the second electrician as he was recommending all that Paul discussed. Paul was professional and spoke in a way that I could understand. Thank you Paul.

Paul was amazing, responded to my call within 10 mins gave me advice over the phone on how to sort issue. Would use again

I know this sounds odd, but I live in Canada and saw in the middle of the night a white flash, and found it was from an electrical outlet ; I googled what to do and your website was the first that came up ; the information I found was very useful! And yes I did turn the breaker off. We'll have it looked at by an electrician. Thank you

Paul came out to replace 2 light switches, he did a really good job and would definitely use him again and refer him to friends and family

I sent Paul a message yesterday regarding a faulty socket that my tenant had told me about. Paul gave me information on what the problem probably was then a price if that was the case. Paul was out early the next morning and sorted the problem, Paul sent photos of the work and testing and the tenant was very happy.

Found this number on the Internet when I had an emergency late at night. He was so helpful, explained everything for me to do when our power had gone off and made sure everything was fine afterwards. Half past 9 at night to help people in need over WhatsApp free of charge, saved me so much money, stress and time off work. More than grateful, thank you

Very grateful for Paul coming out on a Sunday within an hour of me calling him and fixing my problem efficiently. Brilliant service, super friendly, good price and cleaned and tidied up after himself and even did a bit of plastering to make the wall look neat and tidy afterwards. Very happy to find his company on google and will definitely use him for all future jobs.

Contacted Paul today looking for help with a consumer unit and broken shower, from initial contact Paul was extremely friendly and provided a quote. I had a call with Paul later that day to discuss in more detail and the knowledge he provided is second to none. Not only did he help me understand my issue but he offered multiple solutions and went above and beyond to provide me the information I needed ultimately saving me cost and inconvenience. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use again.

Paul was really helpful and very reassuring, he made me feel at ease and explained what I needed to do

Excellent. Paul did a great job, turned up when he said he would and went above and beyond. I found Paul to be honest and reliable and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Decent electricians are like gold dust so I'll defo be keeping the phone number (sorry Paul lol 😆).

Fantastic help. Paul was 120 miles away unfortunately, but still gave up an hour of his time to offer advice and solutions over the phone - with a genuine interest and no cost. Much appreciated.

Very fast response when had a problem. Great tips to identify the issue and not pushing for profit.

Paul’s knowledge has been so important to us over the last 12/18 months, a fantastic guy - friendly, informative. A true gem

In the old days people expected good customer service sadly these days the opposite is true so how refreshing to speak with Paul today. After explaining my problem he went above and beyond to help me out. Great advice and customer support. Definitely keeping his phone number and happy to recommend him. Thank you.

We called V&A on a Saturday during Bank Holiday weekend. Paul texted us back to advise he was away on holiday. He then spent the next 90 mins in a to and from offering free advice and even advising another company that could help if a call out was needed. In the end we were able to troubleshoot the problem ourselves but it would not have been possible without Paul's free advice. We will definitely call V&A again for any electrical help and would recommend to others.

Lovely people, extremely helpful and reliable. Came out to see us very quickly and provided a great service. Would recommend to anyone !

Man who knows what he is doing very well 👌🏻

We rang Paul in an electrical outage in the evening time. He spoke to me on the phone to talk me through any solutions which helped massively. He then followed up by text to ask how we were getting on and didn’t charge us for his time on the phone. He was very helpful!

Txtd Paul in a bit of a state,my fuseboard had tripped on good Friday of all days ,although he was busy on another job he took the time to talk me through the steps I needed to take to get the power back on ,what a gentleman, first class .Will deffo use him in the future

Absolutely sound advice in a time of panic! Paul was spot on, would recommend!

Paul was amazing and came out quickly even though it was during the evening. He was calm, professional and very reassuring. He made us feel really safe as he located our fault. He helped us immensely during a stressful power cut and we couldn’t rate him highly enough! Don’t hesitate to contact Paul. Absolutely fantastic in every way and a lovely person too. Thank you! 😀

Paul to the rescue!! I phoned just to get a little advice about my power shower cable... only to find that Paul was nothing but helpful and also very infusiastic about his job I definitely got a good sense that he takes his job seriously which is what you want! I called by off chance and glad I did now. The only shame is that he lives out my region. If he lived closer to me, I would have simply let him take on the work because I felt very reassured that he knew what he was talking about, so much so.... I even asked him if I could write a review to help share my appreciation. Snap him up !!

Gave me all the answers to my questions in a way I could understand and were very sweet and fast with their replies - thank u Paul

Paul has been so helpful when we approached him with an issue with our fuse box. He's really knowledgeable and very quick to respond.

Brilliant help. Thank you so much Andy!

Paul is really poliet, honest and respectful, he came over due to an emergency issue in a house I have just moved into, he delivered a great service, he is very knowledgable, hardworking and good value for money. I highly recommend him and his company. Great piece of mind he has given me. 10/10

Good price, especially for late night/emergency. Totally honest, no messing around, customer first. Nice fella, too. 5*

Had an electrical fault with all the house sockets at around midnight. Called around for an emergency electrician. None of them were willing to come out despite saying provide 24 hours services. Managed to contact Paul and he came out within the hour. He was extremely professional and arrived promptly and corrected the fault right away. He really helped us out of a difficult situation. He even went the extra mile and sort out another electrical problem not related to the call out, with no extra charge. I would highly recommend him and will definitely ask him again from now on for any electrical issues from now on.

Can’t recommend enough! Works very hard to get you up and running asap! A true gent and well worth the money. Anyone needs an electrician he’s your man! Thanks again Paul!

Our electric was out due to a tripped switch and rather than charge us for an emergency call out Paul talked us through what we needed to do over the phone. We will be using this electrician going forward

Came out for an emergency call out really quickly and was very thorough diagnosing the problem. Was very friendly and talked me through exactly what was wrong. Highly recommended

Fantastic service from Paul today. Completed a full replacement of my father in law’s kitchen light unit - less than 24hrs from the initial call to the job being completed. Excellent service, clean tidy work, very fair price and warranty included.

Really quick, efficient, professional service delivered. Would definitely recommend

I cannot speak highly enough of Paul and Kate who run this company. I contacted Paul at 6 am on a Saturday morning because all of the lights downstairs in my house weren’t working and had obviously tripped the fuse board. It wasn’t clear even whether it was the lighting or sockets that had plunged everything into darkness! Paul came round at 7 am on what was due to be his day off and set about doing tests to diagnose the issue. He was very thorough and when he’d identified the problem, he explained very clearly what the problem was and he needed to do. He returned a few hours later with Kate and together they worked really fast to rewire the cable to the light, taking up floorboards and carpet in the process, and getting it all in working order. They also left everything clean and tidy which I was very grateful for. Thoroughly professional and skilled, reliable (they arrived when they said they would!), friendly and good-humoured and a pleasure to do business with. They did a small repair for me but I’d trust them with much bigger jobs now like rewriting an entire house or commercial premises. With their standards, know they’d do high quality work, whatever the job. Very grateful to them for responding so positively to my emergency and on their day off too. Brilliant! Kathy

Very professional service. Would recommend.

Exceptional service from Paul. Can’t recommend him enough!

Provided out of hours call out. Easy online payment and was with us within the hour to get us back up and running.

Outstanding customer service and Quick response times. Paul is really knowledgeable and also makes things easy to understand as a customer. Really nice to deal with. We have used this company twice now and would highly recommend!
