S Barker Electrical Ltd

Really happy with the work carried out and the time taken to answer questions and go over things. Including giving enough time to show me how to change light settings afterwords. Didn't just rush off like some trades people do. Work is very neat and can tell care has been taken to get the small things right ( plugs at same hight, light switches exactly where your hand naturally lands. Ill also add that as a woman with adhd and autism, that simon is very approachable and didnt have that pushy uncomfortable trades person vibe. Felt safe being in the house on my own with him cracking on with the work. Will deffo use him again for any future work

Simon was very professional and there was great communication from him throughout

Great communication, I was booked in quickly and Simon arrived on time. He explained everything clearly and provided my report at the end of the job.

Really nice guy, fast response and quality work.

Friendly, on time and efficient, gave instant quote online and explained all work and processes. Would definitely use again.

Did great work, great communication, lots of helpful information provided. On time and fair priced. Would recommend, and would call back for future work.

Simon turned up when he said he would did a brilliant job explained everything cleaned up after for a very reasonable price very satisfied would recomend him

I wouldn’t go to any other electrician! Brilliant work, thank you!

Quick to quote and deliver the work. Great job

Excellent service, quick booking and efficient. Very professional, definitely recommend.

Excellent experience with Simon (aka The Ginger Electrician). Very prompt responses and did exactly what was asked and required whilst keeping my broadband active for a very important meeting. Left the work areas clean and tidy after his visit and wore protective shoe covering whilst carrying out his work around the house. Will use again if I need a sparky in the future.

As a new homeowner, Simon is my go to electrician - reliable, punctual, and always explains the whole process. Thanks as always.

Really pleased that we chose Simon to sort out some electrical issues in our kitchen. He came out very quickly, explained the issues and gave a written quotation before starting the job. All the work was done very well and tidily and I look forward to seeing him again for some further work that we talked about.

good communication, very knowledgeable and clean and tidy

Good, proffesional service. The communication was good and they were able to come out ajd do the repair work promptly

Simon did a first rate job...very professional, courteous, and polite. Already got him booked in to do another job.

Great job and good guidance, thank you

Contacted Simon on a Sunday and the same day provided a quote for the works to be carried out (new updated fusebox and EICR report) Booked in for the Wednesday and arrived at the stated time. Quality service from start to finish. Very thorough, everything tested and works carried out as quoted. Would recommend and would use again.

An excellent professional service from Simon - arrived at agreed time, for PAT testing multiple pieces of equipment - friendly, no time wasting - even more delighted that everything passed to the required safety standards - would highly recommend his services. Very reasonable rates and no hidden charges. Trustworthy +++. Thank you, and looking forward to recommending Simon's services to family and friends alike.

Simon was excellent again today. Came on time as arranged checked all my electrical circuits to ensure they complied with current regulations. Then proceeded to replace my garage and house distribution boards. Then turned the power back on. This left our house in a safe condition with essential certification for the work.

We can fully recommend Simon. From first phonecall to the final payment everything was extremely efficient, professional and affordable. He kindly fitted us in two days shy of Christmas and quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem, even making an additional replacement without upping his quote. For older customers, be aware AI technology is used for booking but he himself was also instantly contactable. We could have done with a little more advice on the mounting/moving of the switch but that is a minor point. A very positive experience all round - thank you Simon!

Professional, prompt (a rarity these days). Perfect job

Good communication, well organised & reliable service.

Very prompt service and helpful answers to queries. Thank you for completing the work in such good time. Would definitely recommend S Barker Electrical.

I contacted Simon after finding him on line to do an electrical safety inspection on our terraced house , plus replace an out dated consumer unit and any remedial work . quote was over within a couple of hours based on my description , the price was very fair and the works were booked in. I received a text message when he was 10 mins away , the works and remedials took place over two days and done to a very high standard looking forward to receiving the paper work ! would recommend Simon for anyone looking for a great electrician.

Brilliant service from Simon and really appreciated the explanation he gave for the findings of our report

Simon arrived on time and completed the job quickly and efficiently.

Efficient and effective communication and scheduling. Considerate and clean working practices. Would fully recommend.

Very fast and efficient, thanks

Simon had previously carried out a full survey and I asked him to rectify the weak points that had been raised. This he did in a timely and efficient way. I will not hesitate to use him again.

Perfect from start to finish

Thorough, thoughtful and very capable I was delighted that Simon found the cause of our constant electrical cuts. It took hours but his organisation and care finally solved the problem

Rapid response to our request for help with an intermittent fault. Very approachable and knowledgeable. Spent four hours on a Saturday carrying out detailed inspection. Potential solutions discussed in detail. Remedial work yet to be carried out and will review again, but first impressions very favourable.

High quality service at a very reasonable price. Simon kept me informed at every stage of the work, starting with a written quotation, confirmation of the appointment, even a link to show when he's on his way so you can track him! The job was completed to a very high standard, and I will definitely be using this company for any future electrical work.

Swift and friendly service with updates about arrival time and clear upfront pricing. Most importantly, got to the source of the problem and sorted it.

Excellent work! Had new sockets put in kitchen for dishwasher and washing machine.

Simon's work ethic and electrical knowledge are excellent. Simon worked not stop on our job, explaining things to us as he went along. The job was fairly priced and the workmanship excellent. Clean and tidy and very friendly. We would definitely recommend Simon to anyone requiring electrical work. Thank you so much Simon.

Excellent service, as ever. Simon is quick and efficient- he found and resolved the fault in no time. Great to deal with. Highly recommended.

Five star once again, does was it says on the time so to speak.

Great contact in advance of the appointment. Attended on the day at the agreed time, with updates provided. Great service on the day. Smooth experience with great service. Highly reccomended.

Simon fitted in a job at very short notice, responding promptly and keeping us updated on progress. He was very thorough, worked around other building work in progress and helped keep us online for home-working purposes. All follow-up and documentation was similarly prompt and thorough. Very happy to recommend.

Very clear communication from Simon regarding arrival times, which meant I wasn't sat around waiting all day. His work was completed to a very good standard for a competitive price and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Simon offers a very prompt, excellent and reliable service. He spent several hours at my house sorting out a very complex problem that another electrician had failed to fix. I'd definitely recommend him and will definitely use him again if the need arises.

Really happy with the work carried out fitting an outside socket. Very prompt and at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

Pretty much perfect. Simon provides a refreshing reliable service that’s efficient, exceptionally thorough and fairly priced. Very impressive work.

I HAD A PROBLEM PROBLEM WITH HOB AND COOKER THAT HAD JUST STOPPED WORKING SO I RANG SIMON HIS WIFE ANSWERED AND GAVE ME A TASK TO DO WITH MY PLUGS 🔌 YES YES IT WORKED LOVE HE FOR EVER MANY THANKS MARILYN XX

Had a new fuse board fitted, everything start to finish was made very easy and before I knew it the full job was complete, you even get texts letting you know how long it will be until arrival, Great friendly and professional service. Thanks

Quick response and efficiently done!

Simon is very responsive, provide me a clear and easy reading quotation the next day and get the work booked in and completed within a few days. Easy communication throughout, highly recommended.

Great service. Detailed quote sent promptly after I supplied photos of the job. Needed lights installing in the kitchen ceiling. Look great!

Contacted Simon on Monday and he was with us by Wednesday. Not an emergency so happy with response time. Our job was fairly small so in some respects charges were a little high but when dealing with electrical matters you need a competent, professional tradesman. Simon was excellent and we would highly recommend the Ginger Electrician 👍

Excellent. Friendly and efficient service.

Can't fault it. Good price, communication and work. Thanks.

Really friendly, thorough and professional. Used Simon's services for an EICR and he explained the issues that arose clearly and with suggestions for rectifying them. He'll be quoting us for those shortly and we look forward to seeing him again. Cheers!

Excellent very quick turnaround

Simon provided an excellent service, communication was great and the job was completed quickly and we’re really happy with the result. I’d have no hesitation in recommending Simon.

I was very impressed with Simon's work. He arrived on time, and even sent a link so I could track his arrival. Everything was clearly explained to me, and the work was carried out quickly and efficiently with no problems and no mess. I will definitely use him again for any electrical work, and will recommend him to friends and family.

Simon was friendly and professional and I was very happy with the service he provided.

Super fast to reply and quote and booked in within 2 days - arrived early on the day - kept in touch as to when arriving, price as quoted, we have used before will do so again thanks Simon.

Simon was very pleasant, prompt and professional. He informed us all along the way re: fault finding, and repair. This is the second time that Simon has helped us with our electrical issues and we wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Prompt communication, work done to a high standard and very easy to deal with.

Simon did an excellent job and was clear throughout the process, with an easy to understand and reasonable quote and a very organised approach to communication and time planning. Would highly recommend.

Simon has given a really good service. Answered all my questions and has been very easy to get a hold of. Came on time and did what he promised. Very happy

Simon was quick to respond to our enquiry, competitively priced and very professional throughout. We plan to use Simon again in the near future and we would highly recommend S Barker Electrical Ltd to anyone needing an electrician!

First class service , wanted work doing at short notice, the main thing was Simon actually turned up within the time allocated unlike a lot of tradesmen and did a really great job, will use again

Great communication from the off: quick response to my initial email and always replied promptly. Flexible around my working schedule, completing the work quickly and effectively. Took the time to explain the issue in full. I found Simon very reliable and will definitely contact him again in the future for any further electrical issues.

Great work and a very nice bloke

Easy booking process, good communication. Turned up when expected. Good service. More expensive than a one-man band and adds vat. Turns out I didn't really need an electrician, it was the product that was faulty and not the socket so I felt a bit daft, but safer to check. Still cost me the minimum call out charge of £95 plus vat but would use again and would recommend for peace of mind and good service. Nice chap, didn't make me feel daft for calling him out

Great communication; very clear what would happen and when.

Excellent service and communication at a reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

Nice, friendly service

Simon relocated a pull cord bathroom switch to a standard switch , this meant channeling down the full bathroom wall then under floor boards then channeling up to a new area on a wall outside the bathroom . I found simon to be brilliant in all areas from first call to the finished job 100% satisfied .

I liked the ability to request a quotation on-line. This was provided in a few hours and job booked for the same week. That's good. Simon turned-up on time and the work was executed very professionally.

"Came out quickly and at the time he said he would which is fantastic for an ability to plan. Polite and explained everything well giving confidence as he explained the next steps etc. Really happy and will use again."

Simon was brilliant. Punctual, friendly and efficient. He did everything I asked for and I am delighted with the result. I loved his website and transparent pricing. Highly recommended

Simon replaced the switch for my shower. He was friendly, professional and explained everything he was doing. Great service

Simon was very helpful from the moment we contacted him. He was very thorough with the job - and provided a clear explanation of what needed to be done. We felt very confident in Simon's skills and expertise and highly recommend him.

Always a pleasant experience dealing with Simon. He's a great communicator and his passion for his job shines through. I'd be happy to recommend his services to my friends and family, knowing he will provide a professional service.

Simon was quick to respond to our enquiry, and completed all work to a high standard, and without any fuss. We look forward to sending more work his way! Thanks Simon

Great service with itemised quote. Simon was punctual friendly and very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Recommendation a must ! Thank you for a great job Simon. My electrician of choice from now on. Thank you 😊

Excellent service. Easy booking and convenient appointment time. High quality workmanship, everything explained and good price.

Very professional, courteous & informative. Kept me up to date with the time of appointment.

Simon was quick, efficient and informative. He helped us establish a few issues we need to address in our new property.

Prompt professional service. Arrived on time. diagnosed the problem and everything fixed by lunchtime. Very competitive rates too. Highly recommend

Simon conducted a EICR for my apartment, although he was slightly delayed due to another job and had to rearrange for a later time in the day, he kept me in the loop with updates and when he did set off i was sent a link that tracks him so you can see how far away he is which was a nice touch. Was very professional and thorough, he explained in detail what it was he was doing and talked me through the results so i could understand. Very good value for money, highly recommend. Thankyou Simon.

great job. very reasonably priced. couldn't recommend more :) thank you!

Simon is truly amazing! A consummate professional completely devoted to his vocation. He has helped us out numerous times and is unfailingly prompt, extremely proactive, and sorts things out right away. I am delighted to have him in our corner!

A friendly and efficient service.

Simon is a very friendly and professional electrician with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. I highly recommend Simon for his excellent work and advice. I wouldn’t choose any other company. 5*+++++++

I would love to review Simon's electrical work, but sadly I cannot because the work did not take place. After agreeing a time and date in advance, Simon went on to change that time with less than four hours notice to be two hours earlier than planned. I recognise that other jobs finish early, but I had organised my day around an afternoon visit rather than a morning visit, and so I had to rearrange my day to considerable inconvenience to accommodate this change. After all that, when the time came for Simon to arrive, he could not find parking and left. I would accept that parking is an issue, if I hadn't then gone to one of the nearby streets that I had suggested parking in, and found two vacant spots that were more than big enough for a transit van. Overall, Simon has been communicative and helpful in the preparation of the job, but I cannot review his electrical work, and I cannot recommend him if parking is in any way an issue where you live.

Simon did an EICR on a house we are in the process of buying. He was very quick and efficent with his work. He also provided the report as soon as he was finished. Highly recommend his services and will be using again!

A friendly , experienced gentleman with pleasant , patient reception back up . A hard job well done . Thanks .

Simon did the PAT testing in our salon and was very organised and professional. Simon sent everything we needed to know to be prepared beforehand via a YouTube video which was really helpful. He arrived on time and completed the job efficiently. I would highly recommend!

Simon was professional polite and very knowledgeable with some great kit to assist him to do his job. I felt very safe with Simon and would definitely use him again 👍

I recently had Simon conduct an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EIRC) at my home, and I couldn't be more impressed. Simon was punctual, professional, and extremely thorough in his work. He took the time to explain his findings in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring I was fully informed about the condition of my electrical system. His attention to detail and dedication to safety were evident throughout the inspection. I highly recommend Simon for any electrical work – his expertise and customer service are top-notch!

Did survey and report quickly and efficiently. We will definitely ask Simon to do the necessary work required.

Simon is totally professional from the beginning, during and after the work. Will definitely recommend. Very friendly and personable just to add. His communication throughout is what sets him apart. Great service, will use again anytime.

Good, reliable electrician. Highly recommended.

Fast and efficient. Fault found and fixed less than 24 hours after my call. Simon arrived early and the job was done in no time. Thank you.

Great service from start to finish

Simon did a great job fixing the outdoor power point in our summerhouse. He was punctual, worked tidily and got the job done with no fuss 👍

Fantastic service from Simon on the recent EICR report and PAT testing at our buy to let property. The process was seamless and absolutely zero hassle. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for a great job done!

Thank you very much for efficient and fast service. Much appreciated

Brilliant booking system . Price upfront and very straightforward . Job completed to satisfaction . Thanks !

Great service. Sent a message, had a reply not too long after came next day. Explained what the problem was. Highly recommend 👍 👍

Very impressed and satisfied with all aspects of Simon's work. Communication was great, he arrived at exactly the time he said he would and did a really nice job with no fuss for a very fair price.

I used Simon to help find a fault with my circuit board after the power kept tripping. He was friendly and professional and kept me informed at all times. I appreciated that it was a fixed call out fee and so I knew from the outset the cost. Would recommend.

Simon was quick to respond to my messages and he arrived the following day to resolve an electrical fault at home. He was friendly, reliable and professional and fixed the problem. Would recommend him to my friends.

great service from start to finish, explained very clearly every step of what the job entailed and i would highly recommend, we will be needing some more work doing in the near future and will definitely be using simon again

Outstanding service. Simon replied to my enquiry quickly, unlike other firms. He sent a detailed quote and a helpful video which explained everything I needed to know. He kept in touch up to and on the day, letting me know when he's be arriving. He was right on time and completed the work quickly and professionally. The job was competitively priced, too. Thank you, Simon!

Simon and Steph were absolute lifesavers. We sent them a message at 6pm to ask about a serious fault and they managed to see us the next morning! Really professional service at a very fair price - what more could you ask for?

Great service with excellent communications and a really good finished job. Thank you.

Thanks for another excellent job, Simon - quick and efficient. I was very impressed that you arrived at 9.59am for a 10am appointment. Everything was left immaculate. Thanks for fitting us in at short notice.

Great service. Arrived as scheduled and solved the problem. Already asked for estimates for additional work. Can highly recommend Simon to all and will certainly use again.

Very efficient and through service

Efficient and professional. Arrived on time and completed the work without fuss or complications. Very friendly and approachable.

Hi very efficient online booking process keeping the customer updated at all times and a fab job done very quickly thank you Simon

Great service and really good communication. A refreshing change to other electricians who don't bother to turn up. Did a few small jobs this time, but we'll definitely use Simon again when we next need electrical work doing.

Simon made a domestic installation report for us. He clearly explained the issues he had found, which made it easy for us to decide how to proceed. Fast response, efficient test, and excellent communications. Very pleased to have found Simon, and we will be using him for the upgrades, and any further work.

Been using Simon for years, always had excellent service, great quality and very professional. Thank you!

Easy to book appointment on website. Excellent communication throughout the whole process Arrived on time. Work completed as agreed. No mess left behind

Simon was professional, communication with him was really clear. The online booking system is fantastic :-) His work for us has been excellent and I would definitely recommend him, and ask him to do more work in our home again.

Happy with the work done and the price. Always on time and clean and tidy throughout.

Simon was great! Really easy process from generating our initial query to him completing the work. Simon was very professional and tidy and completed work to a high standard. We will definitely use him again for any future work we need doing.

Very professional and helpful Would recommend without hesitation

Appreciated the good communication and efficiency in completing the work. Thank you.

Turned up when he said he would. Did a quick and efficient job of changing the old fluorescent to a new led. Would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Very professional and polite service

Delighted with all the work done for me, thorough, efficient and very pleasant.

Excellent. Simon is very approachable, and solved our problem in a cheaper way than the quote, which was great.

Dealing with Simon has been a breath of fresh air, from start to finish. He is a great communicator and very well organised. He also takes time and trouble to explain complicated technical issues without being patronising. Top marks!

Excellent service. Simon texted me that he was on his way and got straight onto the job on arrival. He quickly identified the issue with my bathroom downlights and promptly fixed them. He also gave a good recommendation. Happy

Quick, efficient, reassuring, with a very satisfactory outcome as promised. No hesitation in recommending.

We have had work done by Simon twice now. He is very efficient, his work is neat, tidy and on time. His approach to keeping the customer in the loop is excellent.

I 'phoned this 'business' and left message. Simon did return call and left message but I never got to speak to him! He emailed me asking for photos of the cooker switch that needed replacing, I did send photos but never heard anymore from Simon! He say's he's reliable and always returns calls - don't bother he's a waste of time!

I was super impressed with the service from start to finish and cannot speak highly enough of the experience! Friendly, efficient, reasonable pricing. Was kept informed at each stage. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Simon!

Did a great job on the lights and even helped me out on which bulbs to get for the new lights. Happy with the job.

Thorough test of existing system prior to new work. New distribution board and circuits for new kitchen. Thanks Simon.

"Simon carried out a couple of domestic electrical jobs for me. Great communication throughout, arrived on time, friendly, careful and tidy worker. Fair pricing. I highly recommend Simon. If only all tradespeople could work like this!"

seems well organised and effecient

First class, like last time. Thanks.

Posted on behalf of my mother-in-law: After being let down by electricians who accept the job but then cease all contact it was great to have good service. Punctual and polite. Did a job that was awkward to reach and much needed. Thank you very much

Excellent Service. Two lights fitted and looking good.

Excellent service, very professional and friendly. Will definitely use again!

Simon is very professional , knowledgable about all things electrical attentive, arrives on time very tidy respectful .Would highly recommend him

Great service ... very easy to book a convenient time slot with lots of feedback and contact for your reassurance. Job completed as promised....no hesitation to recommend your business to others.

Simon provided a highly professional service, and was also reliable, provided sound advice and made a point of tidying up on completion of his work. I would highly recommend his services

I booked Simon a year ago in September to do various electrical work such as fixing towel rail, some light switches and fittings and to quote for a new consumer unit. He came on time and did the light fitting and switches. We asked him about a new fuse box and he proceeded to do lots of checks which led to him producing a detailed report that cost us close to £300. We did not ask for this report to be done but paid the fee thinking that it ways something to do with changing the consumer unit. Simon promised to email me the quote for the towel rail and the consumer unit and we have not heard from him since. I chased him up several times - poor lady who answers his phone had to apologise on his behalf every .time. It appears that my experience is not isolated and several other people had similar experience in the past. Very prompt response from Simon. Small correction- I never got a quote or a follow up contact. Phoned and emailed you several times and it was last year in October and November. Regards, Ela Sparling

Was supposed to come and do a quote but didn't turn up. Just another unreliable trader.

Great service from Simon. Extremely professional and honest. So refreshing to know exactly what I'm paying beforehand and then for the service to match. Highly recommended!

Best electrician I have ever used. From initial query, through quote, then arranging visit, everything went exactly as planned. When Simon arrived he was very professional but really pleasant. Fitted our replacement cooker hood, with no hassles at a good price. 2nd time we have used his services.

Top service all the way through from the initial contact and quote to the work on the day. Simon is the consummate professional and makes sure that you are happy with his work. He also left the house spotless. 100% would recommend!

Very pleased, found Simon after watching one of his excellent YouTube videos, I was thinking of getting a full rewire but Simon advised getting an inspection done first. Glad I did as some remedial action is needed but not a full rewire yet. That has saved a lot of money. He also agreed to travel out of his usual area of coverage as he realised I was struggling to find someone trustworthy. Very efficient and even had live tracking so I knew exactly when he would arrive. Nice, honest, genuine bloke. Easy to chat to and friendly. I can't rate him highly enough.

Very good efficient service. Kept informed throughout the process. Highly recommend.

After numerous emails back and forth trying to get a quote for some domestic electrical work to my home I am still waiting for a quote 8 days later .? When I was informed that he would look into what was required . I also phoned to explain the job required as the electrician didn't understand my photos and explanation of what I wanted from my emails , Has a fantastic website but the customer service does not match up it

Turned up exactly when he said and communicates far better than any other electrician I’ve used. Recommend.

Great service from Simon. From a smooth appointment booking through to professional service in my home, with very clear descriptions of all findings and work required. Would recommend. Thank you

Simon provided an all round excellent and professional service. My repairs were carried out to a high standard and Simon carried out a really helpful check of all my electrical points and appliances. All the communication and paperwork was done electronically - really slick and easy to follow. All my appointments were on time. Thank you Simon.

Simon and his team were excellent. From taking details to getting the job done, everything worked smoothly. I was kept informed throughout the process, with an email sent when I made the booking and was told the price immediately. (In fact, Simon knocked some off because the job was less complicated than thought.) Simon arrived on time, did the work quickly and efficiently and had time for a chat. I would definitely use Simon again for electrical work round the house.

All work was carried out efficiently, trouble-shooting and options for solutions were suggested, and Simon reduced the quoted labour charge as one of the jobs was simpler than anticipated. Can recommend!

"Always on time, knowledgeable and professional in every inch. Right from asking for a quote up to making payment - Simon makes sure the whole process is automated, seamless, and at your fingerprint saving you a lot of time."

Simon provided a very professional but friendly service and his colleagues who dealt with me before the visit were excellent. He explained what needed to be done very carefully and made the repairs without any issues or problems. His appointment system is the best that I have encountered. He came on time, sending a text beforehand to ensure that we were ready for his visit. He arrived on time and the work was undertaken to a very high standard. I have no reservations in recommending Simon for any electrical work you may need to have done. His links to his video website on what to expect from a visit and what to look out for when specific work needs to be done are unparalleled in my experience.

Such an easy process from start to finish. Love the online booking system. This is the 2nd job I've had Simon out for. Very polite and friendly. Highley recommend.

Simon was fabulous, great communications from the moment I asked for a quote, this included emails and text messages with even one to say he was on his way on the day. Really professional, honest and knowledgeable. He kept me informed throughout the job, found the fault and fixed it. Would absolutely recommend.

Simon Provided good service and clearly wants to do well. My recent experience of Simon was poor communication and not returning to undertake a job that he found was slightly different to what he envisaged. The main issue for me was Simon didn't show any real interest in finishing the job we had agreed. I accept Simon is busy and the bigger jobs are more appealing, but hopefully Simon will not be defensive regarding this critique and learn to value all jobs the same and complete any job he has agreed to do.

great service from request for a quote through to work completed. The 'im on my way' tracking message is also fantastic. i cant recommend Simon enough!

Fantastic service, very professional and I'm very happy with the work carried out. I will definitely use again and would recommend to anyone who needs a sparkie!

Simon did EICRs at two rented properties. Both had been checked previously by a different company who 'found' £1500 of work was needed. Simon did an honest thorough job, was easy to deal with, arrived on time, and found one point needing a £60 repair. I wound highly recommend him to anyone needing a good honest electrician.

Very happy with the service provided by Simon. It's very difficult to find a trades person who is willing to do a small domestic job but Simon kept his word and arrived on time to look at our electrical fault, he was professional and respectful of our property. I would definitely use him again and would be happy to recommend him to friends and family.

Extremely good communication, professional and honest. Very knowledgeable and up to date with technology and his trade. Would definitely recommend.

Simon came and replaced our cooker hood today. He was punctual, friendly and professional. In fact from reciving the quote to paying was great. I highly recommend S Barker Electrical.

Excellent service, very professional. Would definitely use again.

I have not experienced a service as complete as that offered by Simon from any trades person. From the communication to the actual work in the house to the invoicing. everything was as smooth and easy to deal with as I can imagine it being. Could not recommend highly enough.

Good price, turned up on time, very professional fuss-free service. Definitely use Simon again. Very happy to recommend.

Simon did an excellent job replacing an electric shower for my father. Arrived early. Fantastic communication throughout. Respectful of your home. Competitive prices. Would highly recommend this company. 👍

Simon was very professional and a very nice and friendly person. Responded very quickly to my request asking for a quote. The quote came in the same day and I was extremely happy with the price. The job was booked in using a very efficient system so I could choose the date and time online. Simon texted when on route to me and the work was done to a very high standard in a timely manner and area left very tidy before he left. I paid with my bank card when complete so no having to have cash hanging around. Would definitely recommend him.

Simon is very professional as are the people working with him. Communication was easy by email and phone, staff I spoke to listened to what I had to say, then were very clear and precise with their information. I also appreciated the booking system which put the customer in control of booking his time. It was only a small job this time, but now I know with confidence there is an electrician out there one can trust

Simon sorted out a problem with all our downstairs switches tripping on 2nd October. It was originating from an outside socket which had become wet and damaged. I can't say enough good things about this fantastic guy :) He is a 'proper professional tradesman' who clearly takes great pride in his business and we couldn't have been more pleased to find him. 100% recommend him and his work - no mess, brilliant communication from first quote to confirming the date, letting us know on the day when he was on the way and at a good price. I asked him about 2 sockets I was unsure about in the house on the day and he was really helpful. For me, he is now my electrician and very pleased to have found him!

Wired to wireless doorbells installation. Went super smoothly, and work site left spotless, thank you

We used Simon to install a new power point and two pendant lights for the kitchen. He arrived when he said he would (in fact, he texted 15 minutes before his arrival time), saw the work required and explained what needed doing. His quote arrived the following day. He completed the work with the minimum of mess and to our requirements and his final invoice matched the quote. Overall, a good experience with a competent professional.

As ever Another faultless job delivered by S Barker Electrical Ltd. They leased directly with our tenants to arrange the now mandatory electrical certificates but kept me fully informed throughout. If you want to get answers to your everyday electrical questions you can’t do better than check out Simon’s u tube channel The Ginger Electrician.

Better organised than my big Corporate company. Bookings are sent by email to save into you calendar. Text to confirm he is on the way, with GPS tracking so you can see when he will arrive. Job done exactly as requested. Then efficient invoice generated immediately on completion. Extremely professional.

Genuinely 5 star!

Simon was booked to do a full EICR inspection and top produce a detailed report. He offered flexibility on booking day and time. He arrived on time and we discussed the requirements. He had asked me to ensure all door handles, switches and sockets were sanitised in advance as it was during the COVID-19 lockdown period. He completed the inspection within the indicated time period and replaced all items that had been moved and reinserted all plugs. He provided a 7-page detailed report and invoice within one hour of leaving the site. The report was very detailed and enabled me to discuss required actions with Simon. Thanks Simon for a professional job.

Excellent service

Simon smashed it. Awkward parking at mine but not phased. Booked after Christmas and was with us before New year. Full electrical check of our flat done quickly with no fuss, and gave us a massive report to refer to in the future. All prices discussed before with no suprises on the day. We found our new electrician.

Simon installed an electric shower for me. Getting the job done was delayed by Simon not hearing back from a supplier. To avoid further delays, I bought the shower and Simon installed it. He did a good job and tidied up after himself. A week before he installed the shower, I’d emailed/texted Simon about another job (faulty light switch) which I asked him to do at the same time as the shower installation (Simon recommends getting multiple things done together to save money as he has a minimum fee). When he came to install the shower, he knew nothing about the light switch (hadn’t read the email) so came unprepared and unable to do the work. He said he'd get back to me about the switch. Two weeks later, I’d heard nothing from him so found someone else. Simon may be good at electrical work but seems to struggle with the less obvious but absolutely essential bits in between - clear, honest, timely communication and not leaving customers hanging. Simon informs me he’s busy (as most of us are); being busy is not an excuse for not communicating with customers and not doing something you said you would do. I’ve already given feedback to Simon and suggested that perhaps it’s time to shift his productivity approach from trying to do everything to doing fewer things, better.

Simon showed up at the appointed time, is a nice affable chap and completed the job quickly and efficiently. I will be happy to call him again should the need arise and would recommend him to anyone who needs an electrician in the Leeds area.

My partner and I were really pleased with the job that Simon did fitting a new power cable for a new oven that we are having fitted. We have an old house with some unusual design issues that complicated the job but Simon was very engaged in coming up with a solution the problem. Simon was very flexible in timing his visits to the house, and very friendly and explanatory about what he had done and what he was going to do. He has done a very good job fitting the cable, and was even able to answer a few questions about other unrelated electrical issues that we had going on. I would definitely contact Simon again if we had further electrical issues in the future.

First time he didn't come. Second time he came to assess the situation, then he left saying that he was going to provide a quote. Two weeks later, after several emails finally I got a quote, which wasn't including most of the things that I requested. I asked him to provide a full quote for all the jobs, he didn't reply. I'll ask someone else

Fast fault finding on the system, the engineer was polite and easy to talk to about the problem I was having with the electrical system.

Good prompt service very professional would recommend & am keeping his number for future jobs

Simon arrived on time and was friendly and polite. He was speedy at his job yet still extremely tidy.I will be using Simon again.I highly recommend using him.

Professional, punctual and courteous. Will have further work carried out by Simon following routine electrical testing. Fair price for peace of mind.

Simon was efficient, and explained everything to us. The booking system was easy to navigate and the communication to keep us informed before the appointment was good.

Simon helped us quickly. He was thorough, knowledgeable and his prices are resonable. Great Service. Thanks

Extremely professional, excellent pre appointment communication (which I found comforting) and friendly service. I would definitely contact them again

We hadn't used Simon before and were impressed with how the good business systems he had in place matched the quality of the work he carried out. The booking was easy and to suit us, Simon arrived on time and efficiently undertook the jobs. He changed a broken light switch; installed three bathroom lights and a cabinet with shaver socket and light; and carried out a wiring check for us as well. This was before Christmas and it's all still working now :) Very pleased and I'd definitely recommend him.

Quick and efficient and reasonably priced.

Brilliant service from start to finish. Simon was polite and did and excellent job PAT testing and we receive the certificate when he said we would. Highly recommend and will be recommending to our friends. Jo aka jayjo4music

We had asked Simon to repair some electric fittings in the house and to do a safety check of the house wiring. He provided a quick, efficient and friendly service and explained what he had done. We would recommend Simon.

quick to respond, friendly, competent and efficient.

Very, very good service, arrived on time, price was fixed. Would definitely recommend Simon. I will keep his number and use again.

Thank you for the efficient service.

Very efficient, professional and did a great job. I'd definitely recommend Simon.

Friendly professional service was given i would highly recommend this business everyone, im very pleased with the service Spot on!!!

Simon was fab, we were able to book a date to our company's convenience and Simon just came in an got on with PAT testing all our appliances for us. Really pleased with the service we received.

Quoted on the same day I made the enquiry! Completed the work very quickly and to a high standard. Professional and friendly throughout. Cleaned up thoroughly after significant dust had been made installing new cabling. Highly recommended.

Very happy with the work Simon did to fit a new electrical socket. Reliable, reasonable prices and a very tidy worker. Would definitely recommend and will use him again for any future electrical work.

Simon is a first class tradesman. He did our safety inspection early on a bank holiday Monday. He identified work that we needed doing and made some recommendations. A week later our house is safe and secure. Simon worked methodically and diligently and completed the work in the time and budget he stated. If you want an electrician who will reply to you query.let you know he is on his way and turn up as promised you must contact Simon.

Simon initially did a full check on our house electric's, advised us on updates as required and quoted there and then, he returned a week later as arranged, renewed consumer unit plus various other parts as quoted so for us he did a great job, but best thing for me is he supplied and fitted top quality materials, without doubt would use Simon again. allen.

Five star service from a true professional. We will definitely recommend to family and friends. A+++++

Prompt and efficient response to request to check Consumer Unit. Very impressed with the checking of all electrical appliances and the detailed written report showing items requiring attention

We needed a main light in our house repaired and we were able to get a quote for the work and an appointment quickly. Work done on time and professionally at a very reasonable price. We would definitely recommend him.

Pat tested our entire office - Very quick turnaround and excellent quality job and happy with the price.

Excellent service, great communication throughout, fixed pricing, would definitely recommend!

It was very easy to get in touch with Simon who responded quickly to the initial inquiry and an appointment was simple to make through the on line booking system. On the day Simon turned up exactly on time and carried out the testing work in a professional and thorough manner. Simon prepared a full and detailed report of his findings and a copy was provided as soon as he completed it within minutes of the work being completed. Excellent job all round.

Excellent service. The work was completed promptly to complete satisfaction. Recommended.

I have just moved into my first home and don't know anything when it comes to electrics and have found it very daunting not only not knowing anything but having to let people into my home and trust what they're saying is true. Simon managed to fit me in quickly after I contacted him. He conducted a domestic ECR test to tell me exactly what does and doesn't need doing electrically and even though he came out on Friday evening I had the report by Saturday. Simon was very professional, polite and explained everything clearly to me. Was courteous when going around my home. Also I really like the extra touches with his service such as a tracker to let you know exactly where he is when he was on his way to my house, the online booking service etc.

I'm very impressed with the service that Simon provided, I contacted him last tuesday evening to ask for a quote in installing an electric underfloor heating kit, he called me that evening to ask if he could come round the next morning to quote for the job and then he was able to complete the job that very day! I'm really happy with the job he did and will not hesitate to use him again in the future for other electrical jobs. Thanks Simon!

I was initially impressed with the quality of Simon’s website and particularly valued the price list and on-line booking feature. It was straightforward to select the services I required and schedule a visit that precisely matched my availability. I received a helpful reminder email and Simon contacted me as well to consult about the fittings I required. On the day, Simon arrived punctually and rather than complaining about the number of stairs at our house, welcomed the opportunity for additional exercise! The work was completed efficiently and neatly – very pleased with the result.

Simon's estimate was detailed and very clear. We were very pleased indeed with his work (installing power and lighting circuits in a basement) - he worked hard and completed the job in two days. As a small point, I always reckon that you can judge the quality and attention to detail of a tradeperson's work by the appearance of their van - and Simon's van is immaculate. We would happily use him in the future and recommend his work to others

Very professional, great at letting me know when he was available to arrive. Solved the problem within minutes of arriving. Highly recommend Simon. One thing he may not be able to ring you back asap after your first contact, but be patient he will get back to you.

Good efficient job. No problems at all

Poor experience with this electrician I'm afraid so forced to write this review. Simon was more than helpful to do a condition report on my house for an easy couple of hours work for 200 quid. However after promising numerous times to quote me for the work needed to rectify the issues that he deemed urgently requiring work, no quote was sent. I have given up chasing for this now and will use someone else. If you are too busy Simon as I told you I don't mind but to ignore your customers can only lead to poor reviews if you put yourself out there. Will not use again or recommend to anyone.

Simon is great to work with and a very experienced electrician. I don't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for electrical work in Leeds. Very reliable and genuine guy. His organisational skills, thoroughness and experience really shine through on the job. Thanks Simon!

Simon is very professional and completed the work at a super high standard and a very competitive price. I would definatley recommend Simon to anyone who needs an electrician.

Simon and his colleague were very friendly and professional, as well as completing the work to a high standard he offered me good, free advice as well. I would definatley recommend him as a trustworthy, dependable tradesman who turns up when he says hes going to turn up and charges you what he says he will charge you with no hidden extras.

The pat testing was carried out very quickly and efficiently with little disruption to our work. I have used Simon for the past two years now and would recommend him to anyone looking for electrical work.

Simon was polite, timely and professional. He offered sensible advice and did a neat job at a reasonable price. I will definitely use him again.

Extremely professional and immaculate job done on my musical gear, Simon came out of his way to visit me where my equipment is stored and it was a pleasure to have spent the time with him whilst he tested and certified what was required. I have recommended Simon to several friends and colleagues and I would like to do the same via this review. Top bloke, top company.
