Wooden Gate Makers is praised for beautifully made wooden gates, hardwood doors and bifold garage doors, with careful workmanship, sturdy materials and tidy, professional fitting. Reviews also highlight helpful advice, clear communication and a friendly, reliable team who deliver made-to-measure work and practical solutions. A few customers mention waiting times and that posts, delivery and fitting can add significantly to the cost, but the finished quality is widely considered worth it.
We were dreaming of a set of bifold doors for our garage extension but couldn’t find anyone who could make them at the quality we wanted within our budget - then we came across wooden gate makers! They have been absolutely brilliant from first reach out right through to fitting. We are over the moon with our garage doors which are so beautifully made and we felt were fantastic value for money. Claire & Phil have been an absolute pleasure to deal with - always answering questions and queries promptly and with great customer service. Thank you!
I ordered bifold garage doors from Wooden Gate Makers because they could build and install exactly what I wanted. I did have to wait for the doors to be installed, but it was absolutely worth it. Henry and Aidan travelled three hours to fit the doors and still arrived on time, they were so polite and efficient. The quality of the work is top notch, I can’t imagine how they could be any better. I thoroughly recommend Wooden Gate Makers if you want the best.
A great team who fitted in my order very quickly. Couldn't have been better, thanks.
We are really pleased with our garage doors. Excellent service at all stages, plus a quality product fitted and made with care and skill.
Really excellent quality and workmanship and a pleasure to deal with this family business. Our garage doors look beautiful, thank you for a job well done.
Trying to find quality and trusted workmanship in this industry is a minefield but Wooden Gate Makers are truly superb. From the moment I met Phil I knew I could trust him, he came up with sensible solutions to some inherited issues we had with our old gate system, quoted fairly and quickly and was precise on the timelines in which they could deliver. The end product is genuinely stunning - the quality of materials and workmanship outstanding. And I really liked how they were happy to liaise and work with our motor engineer and recommend someone to install posts. 100% recommended.
A pair of Kimmeridge gates fitted today, the quality of workmanship, finish and fitting is excellent. I cannot recommend Wooden Gate Makers highly enough. Thank you Phil for a lovely job.
Very satisfied with gate however make sure you know exactly how much putting the 2 posts in then the charge for delivery and fitting. Wasn't far off the cost of the gate tad expensive end of day.
Excellent. Professional people that do a great job at competitive prices. Would not hesitate to recommend.
My new gate was fitted today and I am absolutely delighted. It is exactly what I wanted - thank you so much. There was no mess and my old gate was taken away. Couldn't be more pleased.
Excellent experience with Wooden Gate Makers. Love our new garage doors. Excellent communication throughout + thank you for providing such a great end to end service.
As a local business owner, I have placed three gate orders now with Wooden Gate Makers and will continue to do so. The quality finish of their products allows me to provide a high spec professional service for my clients. This also comes with helpful advice, support and a great detail to customer focus from the team.
These guys are simply the best. They make brilliant gates and do exactly what they say they will, when they say they will, and on budget. Good coms and delightful to deal with.
A very nice gate made to our specification. A neat job and everything left tidy. Old gate taken away as well. Thanks.
Gates are very good. Installation of both posts by “post man” and gates by gate suppliers was excellent. Gates are made of good quality wood. Communications with company were excellent. Only slight downside was length of time to get gates provided (approx 8 weeks) and cost. Gates are over twice as expensive than quote provided by local fencing company. Having said that gates are much sturdier and made of proper wood not fence panes. Overall very pleased with gates themselves and would definitely recommend them and the company
We were fortunate to be able to drive to Poole to view the work of WGM at first hand. It was outstanding and we had no hesitation in placing our order immediately. From that moment we realised that we were in the hands of professionals and we now have immaculate new gates that are commented on by many passers by. The staff are not just highly skilled but charming and friendly. They arrive on time and work quickly to produce a perfect finished job. Well Done WGM!!
They made a beautiful hardwood outside door for us and fitted it very well. We can highly recommend them
We recently had Iroko hardwood gates fitted to the entrance of our driveway and are delighted with the result. The overall service was excellent throughout with great communication from Claire who kept us fully informed at all times. The guys that installed the gates (including Rob who fitted the posts) were brilliant. A great company and highly recommended.
Some reviews are good. This review is great! Seldom have I used a supplier that not only delivers outstanding projects but they also deliver first class communication, punctual deadlines, exceptional installation and finally, very pleasant people to deal with. I wholeheartedly recommend these guys for your gate / door requirements. 5 star isn’t enough…
