Marshall Gas have been out to look at our ancient boiler a couple of times. Both times they have managed to fix the issue with an inexpensive solution. They have quoted to replace the boiler but didn't put on any pressure to recommend this.

I have a Viessmann boiler installed by Primetimeboilers boilers 4 years ago. The boiler was very recently serviced, but shortly afterwards, I had no heating Both Primetimeboilers and Viessmann engineers came and attempted fixes, now I had heating but no hot water After repeated call to both companies and getting no response, decided to call in a local company, Marshal Gas The engineer came on time and within approx 25 minutes found the problem, the “Combi-save valve was completely blocked with debris I went with his suggestion of deleting this item from my system. Finally after 6 days without hot water at all and no help from installer or boiler manufacturer, my problem sorted. Can’t thank your company and of course the engineer who came enough 5* service, highly recommended.

Great experience- very professional company We had been given poor advice from previous companies regarding the old boiler ( which was 17 years old) We went to Marshall Gas after another issue with the pressure loss - Josh was very honest and explained options to us which resulted in us buying a new boiler from them . 2 days later the new boiler was installed by Jordan - very professional job - clean & tidy and once again things were explained to us . I would highly recommend Marshall Gas .

Brilliant company, fantastic technicians, excellent customer service. Reliable year after year. Great price on top class new boiler and inexpensive annual servicing which they remind you about in case you forget.

The old boiler died, and Marshall was one of the potential replacement suppliers to show up in a search, and in the end, based on reviews we choose them, and they just installed a new Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 30kw combi boiler, flushed the system, installed everything else that was required, and did so in just a day. Price was fair, could have been a bit lower, but I choose the above boiler based on other reviews. Happy about the whole experience, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

I have used the services of Marshall Gas for the past 6 years at an Ipswich rental apartment for routine maintenance, Gas Safety Certificates and the supply and installation of a new gas boiler. I have no hesitation in recommending them. Their response and services have always been courteous, prompt and competitively priced. Their five stars above are well earned.

Marshall Gas have been doing annual services on my CH system for a few years now. And I've had a few occasions where repairs were needed. (Thanks, limescale/hardwater area...lol) The team of engineers are always polite and professional and know their stuff. Great company. Highly recommend them.

We have been working with Marshall Gas Ipswich since October 2023, and over that time our relationship has grown into much more than just a professional partnership. Working closely with Jo, Steve, Parveen, and the engineering team, we’ve shared plenty of laughs alongside emergency call-outs and everything in between. Marshall Gas have consistently proven to be reliable, responsive, and completely trustworthy. Their professionalism, support, and commitment to getting the job done properly have made them an invaluable partner, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Really good same day visit and quote for a job, where everything was explained plainly and a copy with details emailed that afternoon - and which came in under what we had budgeted for having researched costs online. The actual work was carried out promptly and in a timely fashion a mere two days later. The guys were efficient, polite and talked through the work in progress as required. I can’t speak highly enough of the team, although I recommend calling direct, as the SMS, email and web responses can vary in effectiveness.

Marshall Gas have looked after my heating for a number of years including fitting a new boiler.. And I cannot speak highly enough of Steve and the team. They are very reliable, they are always there at the time agreed, caring and honest. In short this is a wonderful company who truly cares and looks after it's customers well !!!

Sold and installed a boiler giving misleading information and causing damage to my home. Despite multiple attempts, they have refused a remedy so I am going to have to take legal action. Avoid.

Needed our gas pipework altering for removing an old gas cooker. Marshall Gas were available within a couple of days and gave me a very reasonable price for the work. Max the engineer was very friendly, knowledgeable, and sorted things all in one visit. Highly recommend.

I don’t usually write bad reviews but I feel this time just have to. I had a new boiler installed last year by Marshall Gas, and the experience was nothing short of disappointing. The workers they sent were messy, showed little respect for my home, and didn’t inspire any confidence in their ability. To make matters worse, they damaged my bathroom floor, which they had to fix, but the entire ordeal was a hassle I shouldn’t have had to deal with—especially after spending thousands of pounds. At the time, I chose not to leave a bad review, as I was informed that the two workers responsible had been fired. However, my dissatisfaction didn’t end there. This year, I hired a different company to service my boiler, and I’m so glad I did. They discovered that the inhibitor level in my system was at zero—despite Marshall Gas signing off stating it had been added. Not only is this blatant dishonesty, but it also invalidates my boiler’s warranty. Because I have no trust in Marshall Gas to fix their own mistakes properly, I had to pay out of pocket to have the inhibitor added. This is unacceptable. Cutting corners on something as important as a boiler installation is dangerous, unprofessional, and shows a complete lack of integrity. I would strongly advise anyone considering Marshall Gas to look elsewhere unless you want to deal with unnecessary stress, additional costs, and a company that seems more interested in ticking boxes than doing the job properly. [UPDATE: RESPONSE TO BUSINESS’S REPLY:] Thanks for your response. However, I need to correct several misleading statements in your reply: 1. You claim my boiler installation was “heavily discounted due to my concerns.” This is false. I paid the full price quoted before the installation began. Any suggestion otherwise is simply dishonest. 2. You state that you “sourced and arranged the fitting of my new lino flooring.” Again, false. I sourced and purchased the flooring myself, arranged for a professional to fit it, and then had to chase you repeatedly to cover those costs—something you initially resisted. 3. You insist that Steve returned to “add the inhibitor.” This is also untrue. The inhibitor was never added, which was confirmed by an independent service this year (see attached picture). This wasn’t a minor oversight—it was negligence that could have voided my boiler’s warranty. 4. You claim that if I had “allowed you the opportunity,” you would have resolved these issues free of charge. What you conveniently omit is that your offer came with conditions—I had to remove my negative review first. That speaks volumes. Also, let’s not forget that during installation, you failed to fit an additional emergency control valve (AECV), a key safety requirement. Thankfully, the reputable company I hired this year caught this and rectified it to ensure compliance with British standards. Frankly, I’d rather pay a professional to fix your mistakes than have you step foot in my home again. It’s clear that when things don’t go their way, Marshall Gas becomes a nightmare to deal with. I wish you the best—just not in my home, thank you very much.

Used Marshall Gas for Boiler Replacement. Work all completed in about four hours. Ryan was efficient, tidy and attentive. All is working well now. Well done Marshall Gas !

Awfull company , engineers are not well trained to solve the issue though will put you in another issue and then will over charge to fix it . Beware please . Nice reply buddy . Heard a lot about your false claims, explained everything on the phone call . Even we have all the details . Threatening us you don't care about the reviews and blamed for bullying. Anyway we are putting a complaint against your company Waiting for the full refund. It's our request to beware from this company .

Called up yesterday to get a quote as a family member had no hot water. Was told someone would be back in touch within 24 hours. Been over 24 hours now and not heard from anyone.

At first Steve was very polite, looked professional and knowledgeable besides to turn up to give me a quote well after 8pm when I requested no later than 8pm. Few days later received a quote by email saying if I had any questions or would like to book a date for installation to give him a call. Exchanged few little messages asking about size cupboard that would fit the boiler which I had a response, but every time I asked about a installation date I was ignored about that. Me and my husband tried to contact him few times but no answer. Just want to warn people that this sort of treatment from a trades person isn’t correct. Gave him plenty of days to replay and still no answer.

Loyal customers of many years, let down by lack of response. Received automated email for annual gas safety certificate, so called to make appointment. No reply to any messages, totally rude and lack of decent manners. Obviously way to busy to spend time on customers who were there when they first started. Very poor, not even worth one star as nothing to review. Don’t use if you want a reliable, loyal service.

Very poor after sales customer service. Excellent installation of boiler and radiators, but badly let down when problem with one radiator. Three visits arranged - none kept! Left to sort problem for ourselves.

Engineer visited, low heat on radiator's, couldn't fix the problem, once he left there WAS NO heat whatsoever! Called them up and told someone will be round tomorrow, explained it's freezing cold right now and need at least the heat I had this morning only for them to hang up on me. Great service! NOT!
