Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch

Great service and product. High standard of kitchen which is cheaper overall than major suppliers. Recommend highly

This our second beautiful kitchen from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch. Would recommend to anyone looking for a bespoke, quality kitchen. From the design process to the finished product, everything is perfect. Thankyou!

Handmade Kitchen of Christchurch is a fantastic company and highly recommend. The whole process was easy and fairly simple. The delivery men were fantastic and we fitted and painted it ourself! We have had amazing feedback. The quality of the units is outstanding and now easy to touch up( busy life with kids and dogs mean accidents happen but with a bit of sand paper and paint it looks brand new!)

We were very happy with Handmade Kitchens. Our kitchen Is very good quality and looks smart. It was very good value given it was custom made. The installer they recommended was excellent. Any issues were dealt with professionally and their comms were good. I would recommend.

I can't recommend Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch highly enough. The ladies in the showroom were really helpful and informative when we visited but never pressurised us in any way. I have never designed a room and, the thought of designing a kitchen was more than a little daunting. Michelle, our kitchen designer, was incredible! I felt fully supported every step of the way and she helped with the numerous questions I had. Even when we were close to signing the kitchen off, Michelle was happy to discuss tweaking it. I was never made to feel silly and nothing was too much trouble. The quality of the kitchen units are second to none, it may be more expensive than some of the other companies but it was worth every penny. Our kitchen was finished last July and I still have to pinch myself every time I walk into it. We now have the family and friends hub that I have always dreamed of.

Fantastic service with knowledgeable staff who took very good care of us from design through to delivery and even storage jobs within our own property. We were able to completely customise our kitchen, including having meticulously fitted units to suit our historic building. I appreciated that the units came unpainted so we could trial different things and choose colours to complement the scheme. I have recommended the company to friends.

Handmade kitchen cabinetry at a fraction of the price of some premium bespoke kitchen suppliers. Our kitchen fitter was blown away by the attention to detail and the quality of the units supplied. Easy size -checking documentation and advice from their technical department. We ended up with a “Tom Howley-esque” kitchen for about half of what it would have cost. Of course much of the project was managed by ourselves but that gave us control over delivery and installation schedules. Highly recommend this excellent company

Over the past 15 years or so, my family have installed four kitchens, both oak and painted, from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch in their own homes, and on our recommendation, a friend has just installed one in her new home. Even the two earlier ones (15 years old plus) are still just as good as when they were installed. Their kitchens are well built, flexible in design, and their classic styles stand the test of time. Although doing your own planning might seem hairy at the time, the staff are very helpful and guide you through the process, with constructive help. A well build, customised kitchen, without the price tag!

We used Handmade Kitchens to provide the cupboards and units for our new kitchen. From the outset, the staff at Christchurch were attentive, helpful and, importantly, knew their product. Communications were excellent throughout the manufacturing process. With the help of an independent designer recommended by Handmade Kitchens we were able to draw on the extensive range of cupboards and fittings and create something truly bespoke. The whole process was very straightforward and we are delighted with the quality of the finished product. The craftsmanship, materials and precision cutting are outstanding and we have recommended Handmade Kitchens to several of our friends about to embark on similar projects.

I am thrilled with my Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch Units. We have the units in our kitchen, Study and Utility. I had done quite a bit of research on how I wanted the kitchen set out (this is actually a difficult task if you've not done it before!) but when I met with Mark our designer he went with it and made everything work with appliances I had already bought. There were a few changes that were needed during fitting and the after care customer services were really helpful and all easily sorted. The finished result is honestly a dream. THANK YOU! We will recommend you 100%.

They're probably friendlier if you're rich and arrived in a Tesla

What a wonderful experience we’ve had with Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch. From the initial planning stages to delivery it’s all been great. The joiners who fitted our kitchen and bootility rooms were very impressed with the quality! We love both rooms, thank you for making our dreams a reality!

Lovely showroom and sales people very knowledgeable.

We’d tried many kitchen companies previously but none had what we were looking for then we were recommended Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch. From start to finish, we cannot fault them. Professional and friendly from design to delivery and always at the end of the phone for any fitting queries. The craftsmanship of the cabinets is exceptional and we loved that we could paint the cabinets ourselves. We now have our dream kitchen and we cannot stop recommending Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch to everyone!

Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch: A Detailed Review We are thrilled to share our experience with Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch (HMKoC). Simply put, we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, they have been a pleasure to work with—highly customer-focused and delivering an exceptional, bespoke product that was beautifully crafted, finished to the highest standard, and delivered on time, ready for installation, worktops, and painting. If you’re considering HMKoC, read on for more details about our journey: Initial Impressions and Showroom Visit HMKoC came highly recommended by a friend, and after exploring several options for our new kitchen, we decided to visit their showroom in Christchurch. From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed by the quality and craftsmanship of their products. Our pre-booked appointment on a Saturday afternoon allowed us ample time with one of their knowledgeable hosts. The attention to detail in their kitchen units was immediately apparent, and we were excited by the range of design options available. Initially, we thought a bespoke handmade kitchen might be beyond our budget, but a timely sale made it possible for us to afford this luxurious investment. The Design Process Unlike many other kitchen providers, HMKoC follows a slightly different approach: they require customers to submit detailed measurements, a layout, and any design ideas. We were then paired with a kitchen designer—Emily—who was exceptional. We provided a hand-drawn concept design, and Emily transformed it into a professional layout that maximized our space. Throughout the process, we had the flexibility to customize everything, from door styles and handles to cornices and plinths. The consultation was conducted via Zoom, which suited our schedule perfectly and allowed us to review and adjust the design as needed. The level of customization available was impressive, with a wide array of cabinet styles, finishes, and hardware to choose from. Emily remained readily available for questions and adjustments, ensuring the design was exactly what we envisioned before finalizing our order. Delivery and Installation Our kitchen was delivered on time, carefully packaged, and ready for installation. We sourced our worktops separately, and once installed, we had the kitchen painted in Farrow & Ball’s Mizzle. The end result is nothing short of stunning—the craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every corner. After-Sales Support The after-sales service from HMKoC was equally impressive. We encountered a minor issue with one of the large drawers holding pots and pans—it wouldn’t close flush. We reached out to Penny from the after-sales team, and within a short time, their technical team made two visits to resolve the issue. While it was a simple adjustment to the drawer runners, their commitment to ensuring our complete satisfaction went above and beyond expectations. Final Thoughts Choosing Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our home. Their combination of exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and a high-quality, bespoke product has exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a handcrafted kitchen that combines functionality with timeless beauty, we wholeheartedly recommend HMKoC.

Couldn’t be happier with our kitchen from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch and everyone we have dealt with at every point have been wonderful. We initially visited the showroom in Esher to get an idea of what we wanted and were convinced. Their prices are undoubtedly the best out there for the quality of the products. Solid tulipwood with dovetail joints. They come unpainted, which at first we thought strange, but after seeing how they were put together and knocked around we understood why it was much better to do it this way. I can’t fault this company at all. Delivery was easy, handled with care, really friendly. We had some small issues with fitting but Kamila and Daniel were on hand to help and nothing was an issue. This is a company that really goes above and beyond. Will be using them for our utility and wardrobe room also!

Very good price for the quality of the units.

I was truly impressed with my recent experience with Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch. From the moment I stepped into their stunning showroom, I knew I was in the right place. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is evident in every piece. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding me through the entire process with patience and expertise. They were always available to answer questions and offer advice, making the planning stage a breeze. The quality of the cabinetry is exceptional. The final product exceeded my expectations. I particularly appreciated the flexibility of the design, allowing my fitter to customize one of the cupboards to accommodate my boiler. Once painted, the cabinetry truly transformed my utility . I couldn't be happier with the end result. So excited for the kitchen next! If you're looking for a high-quality, bespoke kitchen, I wholeheartedly recommend Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch.

We are delighted with our bespoke kitchen that was fitted for our awkward kitchen. We love the units - they look great and function very well . We had excellent service from everyone. We found the website very helpful for planning .

Was there for info on leadtimes

Handmade kitchen is simply the best choice for superb hand-made kitchens. The quality is second to none!

I’ve used Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch for kitchens in 2 houses and would happily use them again. The quality of their kitchen units is excellent and my kitchen fitter had no problems with the installation so completed it in 1 day. There are lots of kitchen companies out there to choose from, but if you want a bespoke oak kitchen then I would thoroughly recommend Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch.

We are delighted with our kitchen. The quality is excellent and the whole process from beginning to end went very smoothly.

We wanted our kitchen to be the centerpiece of the house & we engaged handmade kitchens. They have been fantastic and were really pleased with our result. We’ve had designer brands in the past as a kitchen, but we genuinely believe the quality, outcome of this kitchen is on par or better.

Dealt with this company 17 years ago and this year. They have continued to offer a high standard of professional support ( design and options ), clear communication and quality of workmanship.

Great experience, the whole team at HKC was very professional in the planning and delivery, and their after sales service was excellent.

Highly recommend. We absolutely love our kitchen. Amazing craftsmanship at a highly competitive price. I was worried with doing everything online but shouldn’t have been. We received fantastic customer service, everyone at HMK was so helpful.

Our experience with Handmade Kitchens was excellent. From the first visit to the showroom to the continued after care when we had a problem with a warped door. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone who is prepared to save money on a top quality wooden kitchen.

We are delighted with our kitchen and would certainly recommend Handmade Kitchens. We wanted to design something bespoke to fit our new space and our particular needs, and really enjoyed the design process with the helpful list of cabinet styles as a starting point. The cabinets are beautifully made, and follow up support was really good as we installed it. Painting we did ourselves; it was quite a lot of work but sort of enjoyable, and the results are very satisfying. The whole kitchen looks lovely and feels really solid.

Absolutely outstanding supplier - from first contact all the way through to final delivery and customer service. Would recommend to others without question, and hope to use them again - just have to move house to do so! Thank you handmade kitchens!

Rarely leave reviews but moved to post one after receiving what I consider to be above and beyond customer service . Having contacted the company regarding a damaged bin some 5 years after purchasing, within 24 hours I had an email saying that a replacement bin was en-route free of charge. I challenge you to beat that !!

We are delighted with the quality of our kitchen. The service was professional throughout the whole planning experience and the aftercare excellent - we had a problem with one cabinet doors and it was sorted out immediately. I would highly recommend this company.

We are so pleased with our new kitchen from Handmade kitchens. It is well made & looks beautiful. I especially love the spice drawer - it makes me happy.

Absolutely fantastic quality and great service too. I bought a kitchen from Handmade Kitchens in 2020 for a renovation I was working on and I am in the process of using them again for my latest kitchen in a new house and have just signed off on a delivery for 2023. The quality is superb and the interior fittings are the highest spec. I will be going back to HK for any future renovations I do too.

We did an extensive search for a perfectly designed, well made & good value for money kitchen. I came cross Handmade Kitchen Christchurch via a Facebook interior design group. Look back, I am so happy with this finding. Although the overall leadtime is comparatively long, it is worth the wait and we had been informed what was going on step by step all the way. The initial showroom tour was very informative and I was immediately attracted by two outstanding features they offer. One is I can choose any colours available. There is no specific range with specific colour options & specific fittings. It is truly bespoke made for you. The second is they offer "made to measure width" for most of units at the same price. There is no awkward filler you have to pay for nothing. The delivery and the customer service were 1st class. We can't ask more. Granite worktop was from their recommended supplier and they are very professional too in term of quality and service. Our kitchen was hand painted by the painter recommended by Handmade Kitchen and was done perfectly too. So I would recommend Handmade Kitchen Christchurch to anyone who appreciates good quality craftsmanship and doesn't want to break the bank.

We deliberated for a long time choosing a kitchen and decided on Neptune, however after a couple of failed attempts at booking an appointment we looked elsewhere. We came across Handmade kitchens on the web and visited there Christchurch showroom. We loved the quality and style and also liked the fact we could choose any colour we wanted, I would recommend getting a professional painter. From start to finish the process was seamless, nothing was to much trouble for the team and we had no problems. I would not hesitate in recommending them, Thanks to all the team....

I was very happy with the quality of my kitchen. The design team were very helpful whenever I got stuck with something on the fit. The price of the kitchen was a lot cheaper than local competitors. I also found that there was a very wide range of choice of units and other items available. Have recommended this company to several friends.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Value and quality is fantastic when compared with competitors, but the flexibility and options we're far superior. Staff in the showroom really helpful and informative. Designer was brilliant and nothing was ever too much trouble when we were trying to get the details just right. Delivery guys were great too. After care service was spot on and so proactive when I came back with a query. I will and have recommended in a heartbeat. So chuffed with our new kitchen!!

Over and above in customer service and accommodating to our every need. The wood work is incredible quality and our kitchen looks like a beautiful solid structure. I am very impressed.

I am very happy with my kitchen cabinets. They are extremely well made and look amazing. I can’t recommend this company enough.

This was the second time we used Handmade Kitchens and were very pleased with the level of service and quality of the cabinets. We love the handmade feel and would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of a bespoke kitchen, utility room or dining room furniture.

Superb experience with Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch. The cabinets are high quality and have been much admired by friends and family. Our customer experience was very positive with everything provided to time table. The team are all very helpful, professional and responsive. Highly recommend.

We have been very pleased with the service of Handmade Kitchens. They were very competitive - less than some of the well known low price point mass produced kitchens. We wanted a handmade kitchen which would not date and this is certainly excellent quality. We had a couple of small issues when it came to fitting and the aftersales team have been very good and helpful. We will certainly be recommending you!

The customer service I have received at Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch has been absolutely atrocious. When trying to find out additional information from them in order to understand their product better and what I would be receiving before ordering, they totally shut down and were unresponsive to me, either on the phone, via email or their online chat service. Simply atrocious behaviour. Let me state that I have never felt the need to write a review of a company in my life, but this company has been so disconcerting to me that I feel a moral duty to warn others. What was particularly alarming to me was that when I asked about their Spec Sheet and the drawer runners used, they said that they use Slyder runners. On their spec sheet it lists Grass/Blum or Slyder runners, so I requested Grass or Blum as I know they are German/Austrian made and far better quality than Slyder which is Chinese!! They said that is not possible as they only use Slyder, then referred to their terms and conditions where they state they can change specification of their cabinets from time to time because of availability. Really?? This company is using a classic bait and switch scam. Online, I found it states the following about this tactic:- "Bait and Switch is a morally suspect sales tactic that's used to lure in unsuspecting customers with specific claims about the quality/price of a product. This product will then prove to be unavailable. It's a form of retail sales fraud." HMK of Christchurch list high quality and respected name brands for their hardware to hook you with the perception of quality products being used, but then switch to cheaply made Chinese runners for your order. They obviously have no intention of providing quality German/Austrian made Grass or Blum hardware because it costs far more, even though it is readily available. I should have listened to a purchaser of one of their kitchens who has found it to be poorly made and dents up really easy because they only use Tulipwood and mdf for their painted kitchens. I’ve wasted so much time and effort planning out my kitchen for our forever home using their units because the price was extremely attractive, but I guess I’m glad I’ve come to this conclusion now instead of after delivery! My next port of call will be trading standards with their shady practices. Buyer beware!! Their prices are cheaper than other companies because they use cheap Chinese hardware which doesn't last. I strongly suggest you find another company to purchase from that won't rip you off!

Excellebt value, quality bespoke woodwn kitchwn furniture

Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch helped us take an architect’s drawing and turn it into reality and all that during the restrictive conditions experienced during the pandemic. When I consider we actually were only allowed one short visit to the showroom due to national measures it is quite something! Thank you and well done.

I planned my kitchen remotely with my designer Mark which went well and he was very patient with me! I ordered my kitchen cabinets and they arrived by courier, I thought the delivery service was a little rushed and the men were reluctant to carry cabinets in. I had to store them in my hall and lounge as I didn't realise they could not be stored in my garage. There were a couple of errors on the plan but this was rectified and I was given compensation straight away. My kitchen looks lovely now.

Handmade kitchens were excellent from beginning to end and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They were great at designing a kitchen that met all our needs and were very understanding and accommodating when we need to move our delivery date (though I wouldn't recommend it, they have very full delivery schedules!) The kitchen itself is beautiful and will no doubt last for a long time.

From Essex The quality of the kitchen is absolutely first class. Perfect kitchen. We made our own design, picked the units and then went through their designer to make sure everything was right and. Nothing for Handmade kitchens was a problem. Brilliant customer service excellent after care. nothing is too much. We had a great team of decorators and installer. Our kitchen is perfect and Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch made the dream come alive Thank you to the team at Handmade kitchens of Christchurch.

Beautiful bespoke kitchens, superb service, high quality construction. Highly recommended. Thanks!

We took a long time researching who to use for the manufacture of our new country kitchen (wanted British made). We have decided to use Handmade Kitchens direct and now that the kitchen is finally installed, we are thrilled with it! The process was straight forward and very well organised albeit that there was a lot of work involved in planning, designing, checking and fitting etc. The product is of very high quality and fairly priced, making it a great choice if the requirement is luxury at an affordable price. Good old fashioned carpentry with solid materials. Cabinets that are made for life. We liked that we could order the sizes of cabinets to suit our bespoke measurements. In an old cottage no walls are straight or level, everything had to be bespoke made. The finished result is excellent, the kitchen is really beautiful and functional, perfect for our traditional country home. We are thrilled with it and could not recommend Handmade Kitchens Direct more highly. We were well looked after by all involved. It is clear that the staff really believe in their product and have pride in being part of the company. It’s been an absolute pleasure to do business with Handmade Kitchens Direct and we would definitely use them again. Many thanks!

We had a bespoke kitchen made by Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch and are so happy with the end product. Throughout, they were really easy to deal with, very responsive and were able to translate our ideas into a beautiful kitchen which is a pleasure to use. They were also able to accommodate things like last minute measurement changes we had to a cabinet because of an unexpected steel beam and they were able to hold our kitchen delivery back for us when our build got delayed. Delivery was smooth, everything was as anticipated and their service is excellent. We couldn't be happier with our kitchen - the build quality is fantastic, because they're paintable and bespoke sizes it suits us and our home perfectly. We highly recommend HMKC and while we won't ourselves need a new kitchen for a decade or more, we will certainly turn to them again when we do!

We have been delighted with the new kitchen supplied by Handmade kitchens -they met every deadline ,responded quickly to our queries and the finished product looks wonderful . Thank you

We are extremely happy with the quality and workmanship of our new kitchen. It’s the best finish we have had from any of the kitchens we have bought.

Fantastic kitchen company! The design process was easy and smooth, with any type of personalisation you can think of. The units arrived on time, and the team was very attentive from start to finish. I decided to go with Handmade kitchens because of their flexibility to tailor to my needs. Thank you for my beautiful kitchen and I would definitely use Hanmade Kitchens again!

After lots of internet research as to the type of kitchen I wanted and which companies were the best in the market, I discovered Handmade Kitchens Direct. They offered everything I wanted and at a great price, it was almost too good to be true. The kitchen we designed is fantastic, it’s absolutely what I wanted and the quality is fantastic. I was amazed that I could have units handmade to whatever size I wanted and I’ve used almost every single centimetre available. The process was really smooth and I can’t fault anything. I’m really pleased with my kitchen and would highly recommend them to anyone considering getting a shaker kitchen.

I've used Handmade for our kitchen and also to fit the bedrooms. I found their staff and information on their website very helpful for people who want to design and install their own quality framed style kitchen. Very competitive when you compare to other up-market fitted kitchen companies.

We wanted a professionally built bespoke kitchen but without the usual price tag. With Handmade Kitchens we were able to customise our units perfectly to fit our needs and it has created a stunning kitchen

From ordering through to delivery Handmade Kitchens were excellent! They responded to emails quickly, the planning service was great, it was easy to get hold of people over the phone to discuss delaying delivery (as my builders were slower than hoped!) and the kitchen is amazing - really well made, solid and looks incredible. Can't recommend them enough.

The service from the whole team from start to finish was exceptional and far better than our experience that we had received from other more expensive kitchen suppliers. Our kitchen is truly bespoke to our needs and the helpful design service made designing the kitchen easy and ensured those little touches weren't missed. Delivery was on time and efficient and the quality of the kitchen is first class and exceeded our expectations. Thank you to all the team.

Fantastic kitchens - love a hand painted kitchen and love this company! Love the different options and tailor made options. Superb quality and highly recommend.

We are very happy with our beautiful kitchen. The units are of a high quality and the service was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend Handmade Kitchens.

Not the right Kitchen for me.

From start to finish first class service, very helpful and friendly. The kitchen units are an excellent Quality well constructed and the end result looks fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend this company .

Efficient and excellent value for money. Wonderfully crafted kitchen. I am so grateful.

The reception at HMK in Christchurch was very friendly and informative. The sales person is well able to answer all questions and when ordering also had an in depth knowledge of the cabinets and fittings to aid sizing etc. I would thoroughly recommend.

I would highly recommend using Handmade Kitchens to anyone. The showroom in Christchurch was really great as a starting point to see the fantastic quality and talk over what was achievable for my Edwardian home. Its a very easy and clear process working through the planning, design and billing with the friendly professional team. We had to delay work on out kitchen in the pandemic, and they were very flexible and helpful working to our new time schedule. My builder was amazed at the high quality that had been achieved at such a competitive price. The kitchen is superb quality, and looks top class all fitted and painted. Thanks to the team at Handmade kitchens for helping my family achieve the dream kitchen we were looking for!

Having kitchen from Handmade Kitchens was a highlight of our year. We had a kitchen extension built and our builder went bust on us so we had to complete it ourselves, The pandemic hit as well. A strong bright point in all this was handmade kitchens who delivered on time and with superb quality products. My husband fitted everything and he commented on the quality of the manufacture.Because everything was designed by Handmade Kitchens to fit exactly into our kitchen plan, everything went together really easily - like Leggo. Also, being able to paint the units ourselves ensured that we had exactly the colour that we wanted and saved money. We have had flat packed kitchens in the past and the difference in our new kitchen is dramatic. We still enjoy the quality and feel of the units and can thoroughly recommend Handmade Kitchens to everyone.

We wanted to build an extra deep wall of kitchen units so our Fridge would not protrude. Hand made Kitchens customised their units to our depth. They altered the depth of our island cupboards to provide extra support to our wide granite island. They customised the depth of our sink run so that there was more space for plumbing behind. They delivered everything on time. One cupboard was a mirror image of what we needed. Without quibbling, they made another and sent it to us immediately. A couple of shelves were slightly damaged in transit. Handmade Kitchens sent us another pair. Proper service from a proper company.

I did a ton of research trying to find a kitchen company that offered value, quality and style. I have to say I think I found the best one! Excellent customer support in terms of know-how and design - and delivered on time too! I can't fault them.

Handmade kitchens were great from start to finish. Very informative in the showroom and always helpful on the phone. The designing process worked well, although would have preferred it face to face. She managed to design a corner larder cupboard we requested which our carpenter put together. All the other units are great quality, solid and still looking good as new a year on. We ordered some free standing cupboards for our dining room at a later date and they even managed to share the delivery to reduce the rate. Would recommend to anyone who wants a quality, bespoke kitchen at only a little more than a off the shelf kitchen.

Excellent, well organised & professional service right from the first contact. They have a process which makes buying a kitchen straightforward and trouble free. The product is excellent too. I would highly recommend.

Lovely people, professional and during a trying time (Covid) managed to deliver a beautifully designed kitchen which is very well made. Fantastic value as well.

We spent weeks going back and forth to Wren kitchens trying to design our perfect kitchen, they couldn't offer us the quality we wanted and that 'unique' design feel. I decide to search outside of our local area and found Handmade Kitchens, I was immediately impressed from the first visit to their website. Although the showroom was a couple of hours away, we went for a free planning consultation and have never looked back. Their customer service is perfect, no pressure, just honest advice and endless option ideas that we had not even considered. I was so impressed with everything, it did make me nervous about receiving their quote but they came in £5K less than Wren for something I consider to be much higher in quality. Delivery was on time and now the kitchen is fitted we know we made the right choice. 100% recommended.

Delighted with our new Kitchen We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch. The two main areas that I would like to emphasise are quality and value for money. The craftsmanship is superb and every feature has a high- end, hand made, bespoke quality feel in every sense. Secondly, we were on a tight budget and searched high and low for the best deals. We received the highest quality cabinetry that we could find anywhere for the money. We came across high street, mass-produced, brands charging more than Christchurch for, in our view, an inferior product. We looked at other hand made lines but none competed with Christchurch on value for money. We hunted for a catch (too good to be true?) but found none and are delighted with the kitchen, which has made our house our home.

I can highly recommend this company. Their service from start to finish was fantastic. The showroom staff were helpful and the kitchens on display gave a good insight to the high quality of work they produce. The online portal for the kitchen design was very easy and the designer Mark understood completely what we wanted to achieve. The kitchen is totally made to measure, so the finished look is perfect. The kitchen was delivered on time by two very helpful men. To sum it up...brilliant!

A refreshing way to do business; from an impressive live on-line design service up to the knowledgable and happy to please delivery staff, it was a first class customer experience. I will certainly use this top quality product manufacturer on the next project.

I have been so impressed with Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch. The kitchen cabinets are beautiful shaker style, solid wood and very high quality. I found Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch to be infinitely more affordable than some better known brands that make wooden cabinets but also, in my opinion, better quality as you paint yourself which I find a nicer finish than sprayed kitchens. The team were very helpful, and drew out a plan for us so we could visualise the kitchen. It was delivered on time and has held up very well. The brass magnets etc are toddler proof. The after care has been great and they've been very helpful eg sending me some extra cornice for some shelves I had built to match.

I bought my first kitchen with Handmade Kitchens around seven years ago and I was so delighted with it I did not consider getting another kitchen from anyone else when I moved house. My new kitchen has been in for just over a year and did not hesitate to refer this company to my sister when she also needed a new kitchen. I am very pleased with the overall look and quality of construction. I knew what I wanted but the support and design team helped iron out the details with their CAD design. Being able to see what the finished product would look like confirmed the symmetry I was looking for. Delivery was as expected and unloaded without any problems.I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Excellent communication and affordable products. Had one slight issue with sizing but was sorted very quickly and easily. Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent service from start to finish and the quality and value of the end product is second to none. I was initially nervous about measuring the kitchen myself and doing an initial design but after a visit to the showroom and consultation with Angela my worries were put to rest. She sketched my ideas by hand and then translated these into CAD drawings which were then fine tuned during my online consultation with John Page who was also very helpful and responsive. Now the kitchen has arrived and is in place. All of the various tradespeople who have helped to fit the kitchen have all commented at what great quality it is and value for money. Our carpenter who fitted the units was going to make the kitchen for his own house but is now reconsidering after seeing the quality and price of these. The kitchen is now being painted so the process is nearly complete but to say I am thrilled is an understatement! I would highly recommend to anyone who would like to achieve the look of a handmade "designer" kitchen without the price tag and not compromising on quality.

If u need a handmade kitchen that looks very expensive but doesn't cost the earth these people are AWSOME!!!! Fab quality, attention to detail. Highly recommend.

Great kitchen. Really glad we found Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch, all the quality of really high end kitchens but at a much lower cost. A good business model giving the customer ownership of the design process, after all the customer knows best what they want. It all arrived in time with no problems, and the after sales service was really good. Very happy to recommend them.

Not open on a Monday!!!!

We first used Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch ten years ago in 2009 for the first time and again when we moved four years ago in 2015 at our current address. We had previously had a painted hand built kitchen from another supplier however, this was built in pine and the quality was not up to scratch. We were very impressed with the quality of the finished product we saw in the showroom in Christchurch and having previously had quotes from other kitchen companies for similar products in the past could not believe how reasonable their prices were. A hand built kitchen did not cost us anymore than a kitchen would have been from some of the kitchen companies at the mass produced end of the market ! What was also evident was the quality of the build as the units are very heavy due to the quality of the timber used ie no chipboard with strong soft close drawer runners and there is no flat pack to build as all the units are rigid when delivered. From the design process which is done by a very helpful kitchen designer based in Dorchester to identifying what units are needed, producing a list of units and then through to delivery, the process is very thorough with the sales staff and we have not had any issues with either of the kitchens we have received. We fully intend to get another kitchen from Handmade Kitchens at some point in the future if and when we move. By simply changing the colour of the units and the handles they can be either traditional or modern and as they are wooden are easily repairable and come up as good as new. We thoroughly recommend Handmade Kitchens Direct.

Brilliant quality and service. The only way we could have got the kitchen design and layout we wanted for our space. Also really good value. Highly recommend.

Excellent product, delivery on time, with great care and without fault. Patient and very helpful showroom representatives, I can wholeheartedly recommend Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch.

We are very pleased with the kitchen we had from Christchurch Handmade Kitchens. They were brilliantly made, delivered on time and the service from beginning to end was first class. The staff were extremely helpful every step of the way. We are delighted with our new kitchen and would thoroughly recommend Christchurch Handmade kitchens.

We were looking for a good quality bespoke kitchen but the quotes we received were way over our budget. Then we came across Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch and my dream kitchen finally became a reality. The price was affordable and quality second to none - totally comparable with the kitchen companies that quoted us twice the price. You have to do extra work yourself with the planning, measuring and finding your fitter and painter but the advice we received from the helpful team at Christchurch was so good that we managed to plan the whole kitchen ourselves with no experience whatsoever. I highly recommend this company. Thank you Handmade Kitchens for giving us our dream kitchen, which we love every single day as much as the day it was first fitted!

Incredible experience from start to finish. We visited the showroom in surrey and loved the kitchens. The help and information provided both before and after sales has been superb. Cannot fault the service received and have recommended to friends who have also ordered their kitchen. The product itself is top quality.

Do not even consider using any other company for your kitchen. The whole experience was exceptional, sales team, customer services, John our designer, even the delivery team were amazing. The finished kitchen is simply stunning.

The most stunning kitchen we've ever had. We're happy with every aspect from quality, price and delivery through to after sales service.

Recommended by a friend & they didn't disappoint. Communications were excellent throughout. They delivered exactly as promised by very helpful staff. The quality is superb & would definitely use these guys again.

Fantastic company and would definitely use them again. I discovered Handmade Kitchens on a Mumsnet chat whilst looking for a kitchen for our holiday cottage in Wales. Fortunately their Surrey showroom was only a short drive away so I had the advantage of seeing the lovely quality in the flesh. The on-line design process and telephone session was relatively simple. Handmade Kitchens have a really clear programme of design, approval, manufacture lead-time, which they explain from the start so you can accurately programme in your installation. Product is really well built and of fantastic quality. Our builder said it was really easy to install as everything was numbered and fool-proof. I was nervous about relying on my own measuring, particularly in an old cottage where walls aren't straight, but they build-in tolerances which allow for a small amount of wriggle room. I customised my units with cast bronze handles from a more expensive kitchen company and ended up with a beautiful kitchen that would have cost me between 6-10 times as much had I gone with the companies who's kitchens I'd lusted after! I will definitely be recommending this company to future clients based on quality, customer service and total reliability in regards to programme and delivery dates.

Great value and service for our dream kitchen - thank you!

We love our hand made kitchen. The service was great and we were able to talk to the staff all the way through. Thank you.

This was our second kitchen from Handmade Kitchens and we can't recommend them highly enough. The ability to purchase a truly bespoke, hand made kitchen at such competitive prices seems to good to be true, but there is absolutely no catch. The team at HMKD are highly skilled and responsive and very easy to deal with. We have recommended Handmade Kitchens to lots of our friends and if we ever move house again then we'll definitely be back a 3rd time.

Great solid kitchens at a good price

I was a little dubious at first about buying online but the support and service from our consultant Stefanie was great. She was very patient and knowledgable. We used Graham, the kitchen designer who knows the products inside out and worth every penny. The units themselves are amazing and fantastic quality. They look great, more than we could have hoped!

Had a great experience - thorough ordering process with lots of suggestions and help - plenty of opportunity to amend - very pleased with the kitchen they made for us

UPDATE. I bought the kitchen just over a year ago. The pull out bin mechanism has fallen out of the side of the unit. Now having to get it fixed. I was disappointed with the quality, given all of the reviews on here. They were very keen to rectify the issues, however many can't be. I will list the negatives and positives of my dealings. The keys issues I found with my unpainted units were as follows. 1. Internal Oak veneers were rough at the edges and looked terrible. 2. There were pins sticking out of some of the woodwork. 3. Many of the units had chips and dents in them 4. The cutlery insert was terribly made and was sent to me damaged with very bad wood filling. The second one they sent was worse, 3rd time lucky! 5. I bought unpainted units, however when painted, some of the cupboard doors wouldn't shut as enough of a gap wasn't left to allow for painting (even though these are specifically created for painting!) 6. Some of the cupboard doors and drawers do not line up flush with the actual unit. 7. Some the edges on the cupboard doors are finished unevenly. 8. The gap around the cupboard doors on the wall units are not even, and are noticeable. All this very disappointing as I was told in the showroom before buying that these units were Martin Moore level quality....they most certainly are not! Positives. 1. They were keen to pay for rectification of the issues. 2. They offered a discount for the inconvenience. 3.the units have worked out to be reasonably priced for bespoke units (especially given the discount) In summary I would find it hard to recommend these units given the issues I faced. But please be aware of what you're buying, the quality is not the same as is displayed in the showroom. Adding another big negative to this as we've had the kitchen for a few months after it's been painted. I'm sorry to say that the wood is so soft that the slightest knock dents it. I can see us spending a lot of time filling and touching it up over the years. Have downgraded to 2 stars.

I wanted to write and say how delighted we are with our new kitchen. Your help when we ordered was invaluable, It arrived exactly when you said it would and the quality is outstanding. There were two small errors with the order which were sorted out swiftly and with no fuss. Everyone who has seen it has fallen in love with it. It looks stunning but so practical at the same time. My husband has completely taken over the cooking so I thank you for that too! It’s been installed for six months now and is withstanding small children and cats! I can’t recomend the quality of the product or the service enough. Rebecca Homewood

Great company. Very pleased with both the product and the service. Bespoke quality cabinets without the bespoke price tag. Highly recommended.

We are so delighed with the stunning kitchen supplied by Christchurch Handmade Kitchens. The quality is excellent with solid wood frames, proper butt hinges and it really is bespoke, making cabinets to your specified sizes. We chose the hand painted range and finished it in our choice of colour. The entire experience with this company has been a pleasure and we thoroughly recommend them. A very big thank you from Mrs. W in West Sussex

The kitchen I ordered from Handmade Kitchens Direct it is the best I have ever bought! The company was generally lovely, the showroom very informative, and the staff communication (Penny) outstanding. The opportunity to order exactly what I wanted to make my design fit into the new space allowed for an exciting and creative finish. The kitchen ordering and arrival processes were also seamless. The whole experience was superb!

Dear Sally - we are very pleased with our kitchen. It is well built and its exactly what we wanted. I was also impressed by the service you provided. You were able to consult and help design the kitchen to our specifications (a service not widely available in the hand made kitchens range). I have recommended your brand and will continue to do so for as long as my kitchen lasts. Best Ed

The company's service is mistake proof, therefore delivery and installation is seamless. The final result is handmade and bespoke to your space and design spec. Thank you.

Each person I dealt with at Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch was professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The quality of the kitchen I purchased was exceptional. All round a very good experience. Thank you.

Absolutely Delighted After lots of research for a kitchen for our new extension Handmade of Christchurch stood out from the crowd. After studying the very detailed website we opted for a Tulipwood kitchen so we could paint it whatever colour we wanted. Handmade of Christchurch give great customer service from planning to delivery, excellent attention to detail and solid well made cabinets. Can’t recommend Handmade of Christchurch enough.

I now have an amazing, luxurious, and high quality kitchen, comparable to the kitchens you'd expect from high end manufacturers, thanks to Handmade Kitchens direct. Their service and product is superb, I would highly recommend them.

We are very pleased with the quality of the units, the service we received at the Esher showroom was excellent and great value for money when compared to alternative kitchen companies. We had a small problem with two doors and these were replaced without any hesitation, which was very reassuring.

The design service was extremely helpful, accurate and successful for us.Quality is bar none, exceptional, we couldn't be happier with our lovely new space.

We spent a long time searching for a new kitchen. We visited all the high street brands together with more bespoke companies and found that Christchurch offer great quality units. You need to be prepared to fit and paint them but it gives the opportunity to change the colour over time so for longevity, this was a good option for us. We found the staff at the Esher branch very helpful in assisting us with ideas and pulling it all together. Upon delivery, we had an issue with some incorrect engraving but the company put this right and offered good customer service.

Disappointed to not end up with what I expected. Very complicated ordering process. I would avoid in future.

Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch - what a gem. I can honestly say the service I received from the beginning to the end was outstanding. The staff are amazing and so helpful. I had a slight problem with the size of 2 units and they were replaced within weeks. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Beautifully finished handmade units (i have received so many compliments) which will last me a lifetime.

We received an excellent service from Handmade Kitchens - initial visit to the Christchurch showroom, through to assistance on our design and final installation. The quality and the craftsmanship of the cabinets, as well as the variety of options, gave us exactly what we were hoping for. I would definitely recommend them.

Excellent service from start to finish. Very, very good quality kitchen. I am thrilled with the finished result.

From start to finish our experience was excellent. The quality of the kitchen is great, it can customised to pretty much anything you need and looks a million dollars when fitted - at the price I don't think you can beat it. Couldn't be happier!

We couldn't fault this company. Excellent supportive service. Prompt careful delivery and the quality is good. We have been so impressed that we have recommended them to friends who also have a kitchen on order.

Really pleased with the quality of the units and the excellent value for money. The flexibility in being able to choose almost any size of cabinet was very helpful during the design process and the processing of the order was very professionally handled. I have no hesitation in recommending Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch.

We are delighted with the high quality of our kitchen and the customer service we received every step of the way – from recommending a designer to keeping us abreast of progress ahead of delivery. Thanks again to the brilliant team at Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch.

We are absolutely delighted with our bespoke kitchen. The quality of the product is excellent and very good value for money. The service was also excellent. We couldn't recommend Handmade Kitchens highly enough and would most definitely use them again.

Great kitchen company that genuinely wants each customer to achieve the kitchen they want. Great service, very professional and well-priced for such quality.

A fantastic quality product (we were stunned with the quality of the construction methods and workmanship) , great customer service and support. Highly recommended!

We bought our kitchen back in 2012 and we are delighted with it. The ordering process was very easy and we were given lots of useful advice by the team before buying. The kitchen is as serviceable now as the day it was completed. We have, and continue to, recommend this companies kitchens. Michael

I would thoroughly recommend Handmade Kitchens, after nearly 4 yrs my kitchen is still performing superbly and is a joy to use. Their customer is excellent too.

Excellent service and overall package is exceptional value for money

A bespoke kitchen at a a very competitive price. From the outset a positive experience - easy online ordering, good phone support and then a top quality product, delivered on schedule which was easy to fit.

Purchased a kitchen 3 years ago and happy to say it still looks great and works just as well now as when it was first installed. As it was bespoke they made my sink central in the kitchen, something which many other companies couldn’t do. Happy to recommend them!!

Fabulous kitchens and excellent quality . We installed an oak kitchen 6 years ago and it still looks as good as new . The traditional construction of the units means they are really well made and built to last . The company offer a design service for inspiration and the combination of their units is endless. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again for future projects .

The service provided by Handmade Kitchens was excellent. The kitchen was made to specification and is both high quality and represents good value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services or in using them again in the event I move to a new property.

I originally installed my kitchen several years ago, and was immediately delighted with the quality, and the way every single corner of my small kitchen had been used - not a single square inch was wasted - because the units were made to my exact requirements. We later extended our kitchen, and purchased a number of new units - nothing was wasted, and after a fresh coat of paint, I would challenge you to spot new units from the old. Even the drawers are showing no signs of age! I also love the way the units fit effortlessly into my Victorian House, while still having a contemporary feel. We had a few teething problems at our end, but nothing was too much trouble, and we found customer service to be top notch. Highly recommended.

When my wife found The Hand Made Kitchen Company of Christchurch online we had been through maybe 10 other so-called high end kitchen company's. At this point I won't lie, I was slightly sceptical due to their being only one small showroom and none of the thrills and fancies you get with other high end kitchen companies (Glossy brosures, lots of nationwide showrooms, etc), however after a visit to their show room in Christchurch (some 114miles from our house), all & any concern was quickly replaced with joy that we had finally found an amazing quality kitchen not only at good price but with the service of which we would be happy to deal with. No hard sell, or pressure to buy today. We were told where the delivery que was at currently, which you wouldn't normally get from others, this timescale was perfect for us and actually fit nicely with our kitchen building works. On that visit The Hand Made Kitchen Company became my favorate Kitchen Company and the only place we will ever purchase a kitchen from again. I could go on and on but in summary, we found our dream kitchen in the Hand Made Kitchen Company of Christchurch and recommend them to anyone if you are looking for outstanding quality in a hand made bespoke kitchen, amazing service all the way through your purchase & even after your purchase is complete and all this at an excellent price. Thank you, Hand Made Kitchen Company of Christchurch for helping us make our dream kitchen an amazing one!!!

An amazing product for an excellent price. I would thoroughly recommend Handmade Kitchens of Christchurh. The whole process from start to finish was effciently managed and we were closely guided to consider every detail of the design to ensure the finished product is exactly what we wanted. The kitchen has now been installed and it looks amazing. We looked at bespoke kitchens by local kitchen companies and were quoted 3 times the cost of the Handmade Kitchen. The final result looks every bit as good as other bespoke kitchens that we have seen and the quality of the craftsmanship is as good as we have seen on any other kitchen. I would definitely use Handmade Kitchens again and I would recommend their kitchens to anyone.

Buying our kitchen was a pleasure from beginning to end. Jacky assisted us through the process, offered recommended fitters and professionally guided and advised us of how to make the best use of minimal space to maximise bespoke storage. We have ended up with a bespoke, high end kitchen at a fraction of the price, delivered at the time promised, making the whole process efficient and stress free. As the showroom is small & not in the most expensive high-street in the county, overheads are perhaps lower than some shops; so if you know what you want 'moreorless', we highly recommend Handmade Kitchens. We did a little research elsewhere and then got a very personalised service from Handmade Kitchens; a small company with a 'family feel'. Excellent value for money - we know as we looked extensively in the area at other suppliers and so we resulted in getting a 'HarveyJones' style kitchen at a B&Q price! The kitchen is the heart of our home and entertaining and now we love it; thank you!

I've now purchased 2 large and beautiful kitchens from Handmade Kitchens. The product is of the highest quality and although very reasonably priced you get the look of a very expensive kitchen indeed.

we bought a kitchen from Christchurch kitchens about 7 years ago and were so impressed with the quality that when we extended our house and added a larger kitchen they were our first choice. We were delighted to find that the quality had actually improved since our first purchase. We were helped through the process by Myra, who explained how we could improve our kitchen design and save money in the process. When our builder came to install the kitchen he asked how much we had paid and could not believe it as he had expected us to say more than twice as much. We found that the company was very supportive throughout the process and quick to deal with any issues that arose. We have no hesitation in recommending "Handmade kitchens of Christchurch". Finally can we just say "thank you for our beautiful kitchen"

Having searched over a wide area for a new kitchen, a "Google" search found Handmade Kitchens website, so we set off for a 120 mile round trip and were not disappointed! For half the price we were quoted elsewhere, we chose our kitchen, which was expertly fitted and painted by a recommended company and it has been admired ever since by many of our friends. We have no hesitation in pointing interested parties in the right direction. For value, quality and service we don't think they can be bettered.

Cool stuff
