Within 3 hours from visiting sbop I had a new element fitted to stove. Very friendly service ,very good price would recomend this shop.

I thought my fridge freezer had broken down beginning of Easter weekend. I rang them and was told all engineers off till Tuesday! I panicked, but Jane offered to take all my frozen food in till Tuesday which I accepted! Over and beyond kindness. As it turned out, it was ok, but the engineer explained everything without making me feel stupid! I'd recommend this company to everyone, very helpful and kind.

I had a problem with the door of my dishwasher and the receptionist of Hedge End Domestics (Stephanie) was helpful and clearly explained the costs. The engineer (Nick) came out promptly and was very knowledgeable and professional. Given the age of the machine I decided on a replacement which was delivered and installed quickly, leaving everything clean and tidy. I get anxious having people in my house but Nick was friendly and professional and put me at ease. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Hedge End Domestics to anyone needing a repair or a new appliance. Booked to get a washing machine seal replaced. Was able to easily arrange an appointment and they were lovely to speak. Got my problem fixed quickly and the guy was really professional and friendly. Highly recommend them.

Really impressed with the service! Our washing machine broke last week and an engineer came to look at it the same day. Unfortunately it couldn’t be fixed but we ordered a new one with them and it was fitted a few days later, so the whole process was really quick! The whole process was really straight forward and Nick the engineer was also really friendly and professional. Would highly recommend!

Called in shop and explained that my washing machine was not working the lady took my the model no and said a engineer would be with us the next day He called when on route and in no time diagnosed the fault and fitted a new door seal at the same time, all done quickly and gave tips on what we should do in the future to stop it happening again. Great service and will definitely use again

Needed new integrated under counter refrigerator to be replaced. Have dealt with John Lewis in the past but could not find what I required. Visited HE Domestics and within two days had replacement in place, everything cleared away - and it could of been within one day if it had been convenient to me. Very good service and a most pleasant guy, Nick, doing the work. The price also compared very favourably. Would highly recommend

Avoid at all costs! Poor service, extortionate rates! They will tell you nicely that they will charge around £40, but when they visit, you are already charged £108. When you ask why? Then you might have talked to a different person (in case only one person is taking the calls).

I am very happy with the customer service, both over the phone and on delivery. I ordered a new washing machine, asking them to fit this and remove old appliance. Not only were they easy to deal with but cheaper than the main hight street company. Engineer left everything tidy, even taking away the packaging from new machine. Very quick delivery dates too.

Found us what we needed, at a great price- better value than Curry’s and local business.

Called on Saturday am and left a message. 10 am got a phone call. Explained that the dishwasher was broken. 12 midday engineer arrives . Mended immediately and working actually better. Great service couldn't be better. Thanks very much regards Lloyd Dall

Had my washing machine less than 3 years so disappointed it stopped working properly (did not buy from HED). Used HED as local and fully knew the pricing structure, however was disappointed the engineer spent 5 minutes looking at it without testing it or any real diagnosis. Was then told he cant test individual components so was a guess work as to what bit caused the issue and would have cost over £300 to repair for 3 parts which was more than I paid for the machine. Offered half the £72 back if i bought a machine from them.

We have used Hedge end domestics on 2 occasions. Our dishwasher pump broke and needed replacing. We called the company, very friendly and had an appointment within 5 days, the engineer was professional and very friendly, sorting the issue very quickly and cleaned up as he went. I would recommend this company and will use them again if and when needed. Regards John

Absolutely waste of time ! I would not recommend this company to anyone . I have had an engineer to look at my fridge that has been very noisy . The solution they have put forward is a piece of foam stuck between the wall and the fridge and yet the noise is still there , I have been told they still charge me for diagnosis , yet there has been no route cause found why the fridge is vibrating from engineering perspective . Called their office to seek advice why I am being charged , and unfortunately have not found an answer so just paid 72 pounds to be told my fridge is vibrating!

The woman organising the contractors was very unhelpful and wouldn’t accept me sending a video to demonstrate the issue of my faulty fridge, instead insisting a contractor come and examine in person, even though they had no idea what brand or model of fridge they were working on. Totally illogical and nonsensical. Would definitely not recommend while such poor customer service exists within the company.

Needed a part for a dryer poped in on the off chance they would have one in stock allthough they didn't have the actual one i wanted they did have a compatible item that would work very friendly and helpfull a little dearer than online but as they hold it in stock its to be expected and only a couple of pound more so well happy, totally recommend you give them a try

Called this place to assist with repairing my gas oven. The person on the phone was very polite and informed me they do not currently have a gas safe engineer but kindly suggested an alternative business. Very professional interaction despite not being able to assist me.

Not impressed with HED’s service. They don’t seem interested in repairing small domestic devices. After trying HED, over a period of time, for three items, each time they stated “not economical to repair”. Fair enough, though considered small domestic items, A Steam Generator Iron, a Vax vacuum cleaner & a Karcher Steam Cleaner, they were all £200+ . The final item, the Steam Cleaner, HED charged £12 inspection for the stock “uneconomical to repair” & only after questioning said the motor (perhaps they mean the pump) & electronics board were short circuit, hence why cleaner tripped our electrics. I got cleaner home & checked myself by process of elimination (disconnecting 1 module at a time, & within 10 mins identified the boiler as the culprit. Ordered new genuine Karcher boiler online (£100 inc VAT, so not cheap admittedly), fitted it in 25 mins, & now have a fully functioning Steam Cleaner. So full marks to me & zero marks to HED

I called last Friday to ask for a price for a new cooker and fridge freezer for my aunty and the lady said she would get back to me with some prices. I then called again on Monday afternoon to see if they had found out the prices and I was told they would call me back. It is now Wednesday and I still haven't had a call back from you I have now ordered the appliances from another company in Bishops Waltham

I called before Christmas looking for advice about an integrated tumble-dryer and was told they would look into my enquiry and come back with some options which would be in the New Year. Absolutely fine. No phone call and so I contacted them again in case they'd take my number down wrong. I explained that I what I wanted and that I'd like to know where the bracket would be on the tumble dryer so that I could measure up this against the existing door. I was told they couldn't provide this information and asked me to call the supplier to find out. So much for trying to support local businesses. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Absolutely outstanding, amazing customer service and extremely reliable, saved Christmas! Managed to source a part for my oven, on Christmas Eve, shop wasn't open but owner was immensely accommodating and helpful and allowed me to purchase regardless! 10/10

Never been there

They are as honest as the day is long. The heating element on the air drying process on our washer dryer stopped working some time ago so we hung our washing out. Now that winter is approaching we decided to get it fixed with concerns of an expensive repair. Now I don’t know what the engineer was doing and he could have charged me a lot. He didn’t, he found a small problem which he quickly fixed then just charged us the call out fee. Now you can’t get better than that. I recommend Hedge End Domestics to anybody.

I contacted Hedge End Domestics a few months ago, after our very old oven failed and tripped the main fuse box. I spoke to a friendly and helpful lady, (Stephanie) who suggested the heating element had probably gone. She advised that her engineer was absent because of covid, but to replace the element was a relatively straightforward job. Not being a particularly handy man I decided to give it a go, albeit with some trepidation. Stephanie managed to identify the part I needed, which I purchased from HED for £30.00. (An internet search however, revealed this was double the amount for the same part off the internet!!) Nevertheless, I turned off the power, and armed with a screwdriver and torch, I successfully changed the heating element. I felt very proud of myself! I turned on the power, but unfortunately the oven tripped the fuse box again. **** I thought! Another call to HED. Spoke to the Stephanie again. Told her what had happened, so she booked an appointment for her engineer to have a look (no mention of cost though) Steve turned up, clearly knew his stuff, helpful and friendly chap who identified that the thermostat element had gone, plus the rear of the switches was very greasy. Steve charged £60.00 for attending, the money was taken immediately by HED office over the phone. So I was £90.00 out of pocket and still had a broken oven. Stephanie did a trawl for replacement parts, but advised not economically viable to repair such an old oven. Fair enough I thought. Wishing to support a small local business instead of John Lewis or Curry’s, I asked her to give me a price for a new mid-range single electric oven. Another engineer who installs the ovens (Steve only repairs) came to the house to assess power, amperage etc. first thing he said was ‘we have a problem - your oven is hard wired, but you need a 13amp plug in oven’ basically suggesting it wasn’t possible to fit another hard wired oven. Strange I thought, as I knew a neighbour had recently replaced his oven (exactly same house type) with a hard wired oven? The engineer then started waffling on about cutting off the plug to hard wire the oven, but this would likely invalidate the oven guarantee, but additionally I would need to change the fuse in the fuse box which he wasn’t ‘qualified’ to do!!! I know nothing about electrics, but I wasn’t particularly confident about the advice I was given by a so called expert! Went back to HED, spoke to Stephanie asked her to give me an oven price, but my patience was beginning to wane. Several weeks passed, nothing heard. Went into HED, spoke Stephanie who appeared to be very stressed. She hadn’t made any enquiries, and had seemingly forgotten about my job! Not impressed…! Engineer chap phoned me and reiterated that my only option was to buy a plug in 13 amp oven and cut the plug off to hard wire, or have an electrician install an electrical socket behind the oven!! This was the final straw. Went into Curry’s, explained what had happened. The salesman seemed bemused, as the majority of the oven they supply are 16amp hard wired ovens! Bought an AEG self clean from Curry’s, paid extra £100.00 ish for old oven removal and installation. Oven installed without the need to have an extra socket added, a plug cut off, or a fuse replaced in the fuse box!! I can’t repeat what the installation guy said when I told him about the HED debacle, but it wasn’t favourable. Lesson for me - never try and support a small business again. Curry’s & John Lewis all the time from now on. Stephanie is a really nice lady and did try and help, although when push came to shove she forgot about my job at the critical time. Steve (first engineer) knew his stuff, would recommend him. 2nd engineer (can’t remember his name) avoid at all costs - I wouldn’t trust him to wire a plug. Sorry this is long and rambling, but I’ve tried to present a ‘balanced’ review. However, I will never use HED again.

Excellent for white goods and repairs

Contacted this company to source a spare part last week. Quoted £49.99 for a grill element that is available from the manufacturer with P&P for about £32. Pretty shocking markup, especially considering I gave them the part No. So obviously knew where stocked it & at what price.

Spoke to Lady on the phone and found she was very helpful and understanding she new what my needs were thank you 😊

After my wife stood on the hoover lead while hoovering and pulled it out by mistake we took it to Hedge End Domestics to get the lead repaired. Simply was pulled out so not a big job. Took two months and multiple phone calls to get the hoover back from the person they sent it onto for the repair. When we finally got it back the new lead that was fitted is so short it doesn't reach across our tiny lounge! so frustrating

Brilliant service would definitely use them again

The catch on the washing machine that locks the door broke. After contacting a number of companies with little help or no response I contacted Hedge End Domestics, they were brilliant !!!! They found the part for me and I had the part in less than 24 hours. They couldn't of been more helpful. I would highly recommend !!!

Received a call back to my voice message within 2 hours and had someone come first thing the next morning. Unable to repair but quote for parts was quickly provided. Return visit scheduled withing 2 days of new parts being received. Everyone I saw or spoke with was professional, efficient and friendly. Very happy with the service.

Ordered spares on the telephone. Model number of appliance and what spares are required. In my case, it was simply collect from the shop. Very helpful member of staff. Collected spare part as arranged

Always fantastic service, they really helped us out when our oven went and my wife needed it for her business.

I first contacted them in relation to my washing machine over filling. An engineer came out and “diagnosed” the problem. He advised he will order a part and get back to me. This cost me £60. A week and a half later a different engineer turned up with the new part. On looking to fit it, he established the new part would not actually fix the problem of the machine overfilling, and it was an entirely different issue. A further week later, the second engineer returns, fits the newer part and the washing machine is working again. Hedge End domestics had the audacity to charge an additional £110 for this. In total they wanted £180 for me taking an additional day away from work, and an additional week of using a laundromat. The engineer had the decency to apologise out of embarrassment on their behalf. On telling the engineer I was unwilling to pay the remaining £110 he phoned the office and managed to get £20 taken off the bill. This is what prompted this review. If they were willing to apologise for their delays, acknowledge that this issue was caused by the incompetence of their first engineer and look at lowering their price accordingly, this would have been a slightly different review. I genuinely hope the additional money they squeeze out of me pales in comparison to the money they lose from people choosing to go elsewhere upon seeing review. This does not reflect on the service the second engineer, Jamie, gave. He was polite and professional and managed to complete the task given to him. In spite of the sheer incompetence from the ‘management’ this company seems to have.

Useless,wanted an oven element brought old one in with me and was told that was not enough needed make and model and serial number from oven,went home used number on old element ordered within 5 min,dont bother using these clowns for parts

We Recently had an engineer round to diagnose a problem with our dishwasher. We were given a slot any time between 12 and 5 so I rang at 12.30 just to see if they had an approximate time and was told that they would try and contact engineer but wouldn't promise anything as he is near impossible to contact whilst out on the road!! Even random delivery drivers can be contacted and keep you posted. When he did arrive he was lacking of any personality, not unpleasant but definitely not pleasant and gave the impression we should be grateful he was doing us a service!! I work in a client based workplace and would always make the effort to be grateful that the client has made the effort to contact me. There are many other domestic appliance engineers out there that would show their gratitude that you've chosen them. We personally will never use nor recommend this company again.

Well... A pleasant guy turned up. Advertised as an EXPERT. He gave me some advise re my washing machine which conveniently started leaking while he was here to sort out my Samsung American Fridge Freezer. First he told me the problem was my freezer NOT the fridge as it takes the cold air from the freezer and cools down the fridge. and because the freezer must be full of ice it wasnt able to cool the fridge. WHAT ICE? there is none I explained to him that with this FF it doesn't work from the freezer as their independent. He was flummoxed for a while before admitting he was mistaken. He then looked at the back of the FF and declared we have a gas leak. Plausible Imagine. But aside from advice no repair done. BUT still a £60 call out charge. Usually no repair no charge. Would we recommend them? Sorry NO.

Google user Telephone manner explained the problem. Wanted it repaired. I was told if you want them out you pay £30.if you don't want it repaired you lose it.if it's unrepairable we will take the £30 of a new one. Ye right. Steer clear of them

Wife booked a service for a washing machine. Engineer came out said filter needs cleaning was going to charge extra £42 for the privilege. Charged £30 callout no other work carried out! No chemical clean nothing, awful. Avoid!
