About
Abacus Locksmiths are a family-run locksmith based in Bournemouth, run by Phil and his wife Debbie. Phil qualified as a locksmith just over eight years ago, having started out as a glazier, and they carry out work for residential homes, commercial businesses, local authorities, holiday parks, estate agents and schools.
They provide a 24 hour emergency locksmith service across Bournemouth alongside routine lock repairs and replacements. Their work covers break-in repairs and boarding up, safe opening, door access control installation and key cutting. Where a customer is locked out, they can usually gain entry without replacing the lock.
They charge no call out fee and no VAT, agree the price upfront and offer free quotations and free security advice. They are fully qualified and insured, and callers speak directly to a locksmith rather than a call centre.

Reviews
5.0
Abacus Locksmiths is praised for a quick, professional and friendly service, with Phil described as calm, helpful and willing to go the extra mile, including emergency call-outs at difficult times. Reviews also highlight clear, fair pricing when a new lock and additional labour were needed, alongside efficient locksmith work and a reassuring approach in stressful situations.
Abacus are professional and respond quickly. Phil is great, nothing is too much trouble, he even came out on a Sunday. Thank you Abacus Locksmiths, I highly recommend this company.
I called Phil on at 4am, News Years day as my new neigbors had locked themselves out of their flat. They had only recently moved to the UK, so had literally no idea what to do. It was all very chaotic . Phil turned up, and honestly.. He was an angel. It was smooth, calm and was understanding of the situation. You would think considering the situation, and date/time, he would have fleaeced my neighbours, but completely the opposite. The materials (new lock) and additional labour cost a mere additional £10 to the call out fee. Thanks to Phil, they eventually got in, and I was sad to see him go.
Excellent service. Friendly & efficient. Highly recommended.
