Reviews
4.7
Derby Motors Copnor Ltd is regularly praised for honest, friendly service, sensible prices and clear communication. Customers mention thorough MOTs, reliable repairs for cars, vans and motorbikes, and a helpful approach that gets vehicles back on the road quickly without unnecessary work. A small number of reviews raise concerns about attitude, pricing and repair quality, so experiences are not entirely consistent.
Fantastic service, would highly recommend!!
Good honest people, very helpful and very friendly. The prices are good and you can rest assured they will try to make it as affordable as possible to you. The owner is a motorbiker (like myself), so if you need to fix your bike, rest assured he will do an excellent job and make sure you will have a safe ride when the work is done. So, as far as I'm concerned, I will use them for as long as they are trading.
Brought my bike in for MOT and head bearings adjustment, Paul is an honest and sound guy and carried out all the checks thoroughly, would highly recommend
Went in for my MOT and needed some work done. The team were very polite, professional, and honest throughout. They didn’t overcharge, explained everything clearly, and got the work done quickly. Really pleased with the service — would definitely recommend!
Full of attitude, good for nothing
My partner had his mot done there yesterday and they where amazing great service amazing staff would definitely recommend will 100% be going back for my bike
Took my zx6 in for an mot that failed on the calipers these guys were so helpful getting me booked in the first time and were really flexible getting it back in for a re test great service and prices I will 100% use them again
Paul is a great honest mechanic that charges sensible prices. Highly recommend.
Quick and perfect solution to get my Smart ForTwo back on the road when it was brought to Paul with exhaust issues. Great service overall. Will definitely use again.
Amazing guys that work there. They cannot do enough to help me out. Always honest and reasonably priced. They really know their stuff and will never try and sell you something you don't need. I will always go there for any work my car needs to be done and I highly recommend them!
These blokes are absolutely brilliant. My car has needed a lot of work due to wear and tear and having been by the sea a lot, causing a lot of rust and related issues with brakes, and other things. They always keep me informed, they are very affordable, the work is always done quickly and top quality. I would not trust anyone else with my car.
Had an issue with my turbo and starter motor on my van, Paul went above and beyond for me, the van was sluggish and in limp mode but after Paul’s expertise and know how it came out like a brand new van, absolutely greatful for the service provided by derby motors, professional throughout thanks
The guys here are very honest and friendly. I will be sticking with them.
Be careful of this guy you'll put a bike in with nothing wrong with it and he will string you for work and it will come out with more problems tested it with another bike and again charged above the odds. Just a scammer. On the invoice he can't even spell the parts right. Passes MOTs with splits in tyres and the tyre pressure goes down. Will not recommend. Plenty more decent MOT stations in Portsmouth.
Paul is a great honest man who will always do his best and give the best advise he can. Very trustworthy and knowledgable
Replaced a rear seat belt for me, very friendly and welcoming, have booked again for MOT, highly recommend
Excellent reliable service, and an added bonus is that it supports Hinckley Triumph Owners Club members.
Always a first class service 🙂 wouldn't take my car anywhere else 🙂

Amazing garage, such nice genuine blokes who made me feel glad to have put my partner's motorcycle in good hands - very honest and reliable, kept me in the loop at all times about work on the bike, gave us advice and information needed! Really recommend this garage if you want to feel like your vehicle is in safe hands and will be taken care of the same as you would yourself! Kind regards and many thanks to the men who put their time and effort in on my partner's bike to be road ready again 👍😀
Good honest garage, sensible prices and will only do work that needs to be done
