Starks Solar

Exceptional service from Starks. From the first site visit to the installation they kept us well informed on everything. We were very pleased with all aspects of the installation from the scaffolders, electrician and roofers. They all did a great job. We are really pleased with our new solar panel system and would 100% recommend Starks if you are considering installing one.

I can't praise Starks Electrical enough and would thoroughly recommend them for your Solar and battery needs. The whole process was easy and worry free. I chose Starks Electrical because they are a local company very close to Ferndown, together with their quick response to my initial enquiry, their social media site reviews and the fact I could design my initial solution using their online website tool that provides a range of products and initial prices. I wanted to have a system that would cover my household electrical needs and have enough spare capacity to power a heat pump at a later date. I arranged a date for a discussion and survey. Sean was very helpful and undertook a detailed survey in a friendly and professional manner. I decided to go with the Aiko panels together with the Sigenergy  inverter and battery. Sean provided a detailed proposal and the Agreement was signed in a matter of days. Starks initiated the ONS process in the background and a successful response was received within two weeks. Dave, at Starks, then arranged the dates for the scaffolding, the roofers, the installation of the panels and the Sigenergy capability. Everyone arrived on time and were committed in providing a high quality of professional workmanship and tidiness. My roof was tricky because it has brittle cement, slate like tiles that break easily but the roofing team worked over three days to install the infrastructure to the roof and then install the panels. We originally ordered Solar Skirtk but because of the shape of the roof it couldn't be fitted. Dave proactively discussed the problem with me and we agreed to install bird mesh and Dave offered the refund. Chris and Harrison installed all the electrical components, cables and Sigenergy capability on the first day. After an initial walk through of the Sigenergy App I find it informative and easy to use. I've now had the system running for a few days and am very pleased with my solar and battery system. As yet I haven't had to import any electricity from the grid. The system is doing it's job!

Really pleased with our solar panel and battery installation by Starks. They were great to deal with, very knowledgeable and we were pleased with the timescale.

Having been bombarded with hard sales and cold calls, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly, informative and low pressure approach. The team did an excellent job and there is good after sales support.

I’m happy that I chose Starks Solar to install solar panels. The service was good at a reasonable price.

I wanted to add a battery to my existing solar panels. Starks Solar assessed my system & gave me two possible battery options. The whole process was quick & easy. Everyone I've spoken to were polite & helpful. The fitters were very efficient & helped me download & set up an app to help me monitor the system. I had a very good experience with this company & would definitely recommend them.

Solar panel and battery installation this week in verwood. Quick and easy process. Took time to tweak design originally based on what we were after. Application all sent off quick once proposal accepted. When this came back we had dates for Install the next week. Smooth operation and the guys cleared up after themselves. Communication has been great. Just waiting on the paperwork post install. Happy with how the system is working for us already in a short space of time. When coming out originally they were the only company to check electrics and roof space, including using a drone to check the installation design and make sure it was as accurate as possible. Thanks team!

I highly recommend Starks Electrical! They installed a third string of solar panels onto our flat roof in Fordingbridge. Alongside a home battery and Sigenergy EVDC. We are very happy with the tidy installation and it all works perfectly. A follow up request to add an import limit on the battery system was completed quickly. Professional and friendly team. Free bird screen was an unexpected bonus. Russell was super helpful in talking through options and listening to what I wanted to do.

Solar panel and battery installation in Bournemouth".

I have to say I was extremely impressed with Starks Solar and the Solar panel and battery installation at my home in West Parley. From survey to installation completion, Russell and his team explained every step which was extremely reassuring. The installation team worked professionally as a team and I was surprised how quickly it was up and running. No fuss, no mess, no problem. Thank you Russell, I would definitely recommend your company.

I had wanted to have solar installed for many months but was put off by hard sales tactics and unsolicited phone calls. Having read the reviews for Starks Solar I requested a quote. I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. The whole outfit is very professional and personable with no hard sell. My panels and battery were installed within a month of the original estimate. I would recommend this company to anyone seeking to have solar panels installed.

From our first enquiry to completion Russell and his team have been outstanding. Following an on site survey and discussion Russell provided a comprehensive quotation for our solar system including performance predictions. The installation team were a pleasure to have working in our home, they explained the work plan and checked we were happy with the proposed positioning of cables an equipment. The system is now running as predicted despite the dull January weather. Thank you Russell and your team.

We have an existing Fox Solar System installed since 2022. I wanted to add the Fox EPS system (allows battery only use during a power-cut). This wasn’t available at the time of my original installation. My original installer was not able to offer this a number of others were not interested. Starks responded immediately to my request for a quotation and have recently completed the installation. They are a delight to deal with, friendly and helpful. The quality of their work is exemplary and I have now transferred the support of my system to them. I would have no hesitation in recommending Starks to anyone interested in Solar energy or for existing Solar users requiring support or upgrades.

Really pleased with our solar panel Installation in Broadstone. Despite really adverse weather conditions the guys fitted our panels and inverters in a single day with great professionalism and tenacity. Really good job, would definitely recommend.

The whole process from start to finish has been incredibly easy. Russell and his team have worked hard to ensure we have the best set up that works for us. Communication and additional support throughout has been exceptional and the team have been on hand to answer any questions. The installation team were as impressive. They were incredibly efficient and have done the job to a very high standard and made sure that we were involved in any decisions that needed to be made. We are very happy with our decision to use Starks Solar and will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks.

Russell at Starks Electrical has been absolutely amazing. Incredibly helpful and efficient. I highly recommend them. While some companies just do a job Starks respond to all queries incredibly quickly and efficiently with help after installation

I have just had solar panels and battery fitted. Dealing with Starks was quick and easy. Where most quotes I got were just online, Russell took the time to come to our house and chat to us. Taking the time to listen to my questions, and work out what was the best system for our needs. Highly recommended

Starks were very professional and knowledgeable and made the whole process easy. I had an inverter and battery unit installed to go with my solar and has made a huge difference to my energy bills. I would recommend them unreservedly

Before meeting the team at Starks I was a little apprehensive about taking the solar plunge. So many national companies jostling for our business, often with unclear pricing. However, from start to finish the team were exceptional. Everything explained well from the onset and the installation team were professional, friendly, and courteous. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We decided to put in a Solar + battery solution in September. We saw three providers and Starks were clearly the best supplier we dealt with. The initial sales visit was professional and informative. We were able to design the system to meet our needs and had the installation a couple of weeks later. All the work was undertaken in a professional manner and after a couple of days we had the system up and running. Very pleased with the ease of working with this company. The product installed was high quality and the workmanship all through the installation was high. I cannot fault the work undertaken and the outcome is even better than expected. Should have done this ages ago! Thanks!

Starks recently assessed and quoted for solar at our property. We were given different options and the benefits of each system were fully explained. They designed a bespoke system in response to our wish to be as self-sufficient as possible, maximising the space available on our roof. The battery with the system they installed for us can be upgraded if needed, giving us more flexibility in the future. From the first meeting with their surveyor, Paul, we felt confident that they knew what we wanted and that they could provide it. The team were punctual, friendly and efficient and completed the job in the specified time to a high standard, offering ongoing support as and when needed.

Very easy process from initial contact to completion. Would highly recommend Starks.

We started looking into getting solar panels and a battery system, so we got a few quotes together two from major companies with the bigger companies I was feeling a bit pushed and no reale survey took place so we tried starks solar and electrical, Russell came out asked a few questions done a test on are house fuse etc then he was up in the loft checking it was suitable for the extra weight survey was made on the outside roof checked out our last energy bill And design a system that would suit our needs he gave three choices top of the range middle and economy but me being myself modified the middle range Giving more work , he also fitted timer to our hot water tank so we could use with the battery, a week later the scaffolding was up and the starks team were on site All works completed great fitting team Clean and tidy the wiring looks great The communication with the office staff is fantastic myself and lynne feel safe and happy that we could approach Russell and the team for any more electrical work or solar upgrades in the future . Regards Peter happy customer.

We had a 15 panel system installed by Starks Electrical and we can not speak highly enough of this company. From the very first contact through to the completed installation they have been nothing but professional. They have delivered on every one of their promises, which in this day and age is highly unusual. We would not hesitate in recommending them, if you are considering solar panels we are sure you would, like us, be extremely pleased with the service and end product.

Scot came to see us and we had in mind to install quite a large system but were restricted by the grid to a 3.6 inverter due to being on the end of a single phase line. However the system Starks installed for us is brilliant, 12 panels on the roof and we went for 2x 8kw batteries, I can honestly say that we have barely paid anything for electric since it was installed on 1st May! Brilliant team to deal with, helpful at every stage. the installers were fast, tidy, polite and the workmanship is very good. I have recommended them within our village and to anyone that is prepared to listen to a now self confessed solar bore :-)

After pondering a solar install for a while and dealing with propositions from a number of companies I tried to interpret everything and made telephone calls to attempt to understand their proposals. Purely by chance I came across Starks Electrical on a social site so made contact . Russell prepared a proposal , then followed it up with a site visit and he clearly and happily explained everything without applying any sales pressure. Two or three days later I gladly accepted a very competitive quotation and fixed an install date very soon after. The install was without any problems the team working tirelessly for 2 days this April to complete everything, followed closely by the electrician to commission and fully explain the workings and the use of the app. I am delighted with the system and after 5 weeks the system is now exporting and the bill from the energy provider up to this point has been standing charge only, incredible! I would not hesitate in recommending Russell and his outstanding team, in fact I have 3 times so far, to people close by who have admired our installation.

I couldn’t fault the Starks team from their first visit to fitting my solar system last week and removing the scaffolding today. They’ve been polite, tidy and thorough. I would recommend them to anyone.

Right from the start Stark were professional and clear with what they offered and made the whole process very easy to understand . I carried out a lot of research to fully understand what I needed and how the systems would work . Each company I spoke to offered something different but stark were the only company to visit and carry out a survey , no pushy sales people and a clear understanding of what I wanted to achieve. We got there and it’s amazing the savings we are making . It looks pretty good to . Thank you .

Highly recommended +++++ Professional from the off set. I was well informed throughout about the process which was fantastic. Service, product and after service care was and has been excellent. I genuinely recommend Starks Electrical for solar panels and for a great team of specialists. Thank you 😊

Brilliant service from Starkes electrical, from start to finish everyone from Scott’s first visit through to scaffolding team, and installation team, not forgetting Dave in the office. Everything on time and everything left clean and tidy, Very neat installation. Recommend to anyone looking for solar installation.

Great service, regular helpful communications, swift installation!

The whole installation process went according to plan and on schedule. Once finished there was no sign that the workmen had been here, other than the shining black panels on the roof and the futuristic white battery installed round the side of the house. Since then the system has been producing vast amount of electricity, most of which I am selling to the grid. I have reduced my payments to my supplier and I am hoping that my electricity production will subsidise my gas costs too. All-in-all this seems to be a successful financial decision and one which will give me a better return than having my money in the building society. Thank you Starks.

Excellent job by the Starks team.

I got 3 quotes for solar pv, and chose starks. I was pleased to use a local company with great reviews, and was not disappointed. The system was put in place very efficiently, and is already , in January, making me 50% self sufficient, as my home is all electric.

From start to finish it has been a pleasure to use your company to install the solar panels, Battery and EV charger. Was a couple of small issues along the way but you know you have chosen a good company when they pick up the phone , answer message and call you back.

First class service from start to finish! Very informative and very clear with the details. No sales pitch at any stage. Fantastic work from great guys. Highly recommended!

From start to finish absolutely superb. Took time to understand what was important to us and designed a system to meet our requirements. Installation was a breeze, great job - fully recommend

Just had 21 panels (split between east and west of my roof) and a large battery fitted by Russell and his team. The plan being to maximise the amount of solar I generate and combine this with a heat pump (being fitted soon by a separate national installer). I got quotes from a number of solar installers before opting for Starks electrical. Whilst their quote was competitive the thing which stood out most with this company was their knowledge and experience in fitting solar and I liked that they were a local company. I was able to make tweaks to my proposed system and get lots of free advice from Russell’s team so by the time the install went ahead I was really confident about my purchase. There was absolutely no ‘hard sell’ and I was given options for various systems at different price points which was great. The installation was very smooth. The team who did the install were great - worked really hard, were polite courteous and really nice guys who had years (decades!) of experience in solar installs. The system is now working great - even in October! I highly recommend this company.

I had a solar and battery package installed in October 2024. The installation went extremely smoothly and the guys involved were clean, polite and efficient. Whole system was up and running in 2 days. Now just waiting for the cogs of government to turn so we earn money from the feed in tariff. I thoroughly recommend Starks Electrical :-)

Starts Electrical have gone above and beyond with my new solar panel installation. They were professional, tidy and the price was fair! I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Russell the business owner made me feel at ease from start to finish and was always available to discuss any questions I had!

Excellent. 10/10. Professional, friendly and perfect work every time. Highly recommend!

I had Done a lot of research into solar and found all what I was looking for with Starks Electrical at the moment very happy up and running and working how I was hoping for Would highly recommend them

I approached Starks electrical in connection with solar panels. They kept their appointments. They made suggestions for what set up would suit my current and anticipated future needs. The whole system was professionally installed and running within a very short agreed time frame. I would recomend this company and would give them 10 out of 10. Thank you Russell

Super efficient from start to finish, everything happening when they said it would. Would highly recommend.

Great service from Russell and his team. Everything was completed very neatly and within the timescale I was given. The electrician then came back separately to assist with my setting up the app so I can monitor as necessary. My electricity usage is now an average of 3p per day.

High quality solar panels (x17 in total) producing excellent results. Starks installers and electricians arrived on time and finished on time. First class job at a sensible price. Thank you !

The installation team arrived as promised, they were courteous, professional and worked hard to complete the installation on time and without mess. We now have a solar panel and battery storage system that’s really neat and works effectively - no electricity used from the grid so far! Great service.

Excellent Service - the team installed our solar panels and battery storage last week and we are really happy with the whole installation. Russell and his team are very professional and very helpful I would highly recommend this firm installation took 1 day and works brilliantly thank you.

Solar panel and battery install. I spent time researching both solution and potential suppliers and so am delighted that I made the right choices. Russell and his team carried out the install quickly, they were a pleasure to have in our home. The site was left spotless and the panels are delivering the results that Russell’s proposal suggested they would.

These guys were great, communication was fast, installation was fast, good engineers, quality install. Russell is always available with advice and help. Highly recommend

We have a 16th century thatched cottage which was wired about 30 years ago. We developed many faults over the last few years, also failed an electrical certificate which we need for fire insurance. We have used Russell Stark Electrical over last 3 years. They have carried out intensive work in stages, which was new consumer units, Re wiring lounge, armoured core cabling to front gate lights and garage. Electrical test certificate. Changing light fittings. Fault finding. They are highly professional, clean working and efficient at reasonable costs. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Want a trustworthy, excellent electrical Company then use Starks.

Well done all of you 😊

As always, Russell was very professional, arrived on time and did a great job supplying power to my workshop. I highly recommend Starks electrical.

I've used Russell's team a couple of times now. Their young man Scott was prompt, professional and friendly. He fitted our new ceiling lights..(2 sets) efficiently and mess free. He even took our 'old fixtures' away saving us a trip to the tip. Highly reccommended..well worth their 5 stars.

I've used the company before with no problems whatsoever. Would highly recommend them.

As a professional Landlord it's crucial to find efficient, professional Trades, particularly where Safety is concerned. I've used these guys on several properties, and will continue to do so.

Excellent service all staff I have met very polite and helpful

This is the second time I have used this company, initially fir an installation. This time An electrical fault was causing sporadic tripping of the MCB. The Spark’s electrician traced the problem down-to sockets in the kitchen. And by meticulously isolating and checking each socket supply found the problem quickly. A “rodent” damaged cable under the fitted kitchen was causing a short. The cable was quickly replaced. Excellent awkward job completed in double quick time. Thanks guys will be back for any further electrical work. Martin Hughes Poulner

Starks Electrical are a great independant business providing a quick and reliable service. We have used their services a few times and can highly recommend them for any electrical works.

It seems rare nowadays to find a tradesman like sparks electrical who are organised, punctual, comes up with practical solutions to issues, tidy, polite. I won’t be going to anyone else now I’ve found sparks. Highly recommended. I love their modern systems that make payment easy, notify you when they are on their way etc.

Brilliant work by Russel and the team. I would highly recommend them to anyone, very professional and checked everything. The fuse panel replacement has made a great difference and the house is in great condition.

Starks Electrical did a job for an elderly friend of mine, they gave me a date and a time then came earlier than said and fixed the job and the charges were very reasonable. Thank you Russell.

Russell and his team provided an excellent service from initial contact all the way through to completion of the works. The invoice was well within the amount quoted, the work has been completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. I don't think that there is anything in there that they could have improved upon (hence the 5-star rating). For reference, the team came over to undertake the following tasks: Installation of extractor fan, isolator switch and relocation of light-switch in the bathroom. Installation of Electric cooker and associated cabling back to the main circuit-board. Re-connection wiring of the living room lighting to rectify issues created during the decorating process (I had lights in the wall that were removed which messed with the rest of the lighting in the living room).

Very efficient repair of transformer in loft to effect failing light fitting.Punctual on day stated. Paperwork & payment using all latest technology. Would recommend.

We needed Russell and the team to help with the refurbishment of our showroom. They were efficient, reliable and very good value. We will certainly use them in the future and would confidently recommend them to our customers requiring any electrical works during kitchen installations and house renovations.

I found Starks Electrical through a Facebook ad, I messaged them and they replied straight away. An engineer was sent round a few days later to do an inspection and returned a week later to complete repairs. Very efficient organised company that were very helpful and polite throughout all communication.

As always, a friendly and efficient service, and prepared to tackle less common jobs - for us this time the replacement of a cooker extractor fan motor.

Excellent service again from Russ prompt and great workmanship.

Simple task, well done. Friendly and professional.

Russell and his team showed that the customer is the main priority even when the project changed part way through and the time needed was readily given to keep on track

Responded to a electrical fault at my parents place that was blowing fuses and tripping a switch leaving them in the dark and cold. The fault was found quickly and isolated to regain power and and a further visit arranged to rewire and install outside lights that were the cause of the fault. The work was carried out as arranged and I cannot fault their professionalism in getting the work done. I have no hesitation in recommending Starks Electrical and would certainly use again. A++++

I’ve had Russell and his staff out to me for multiple bits of work and I must say, they are very professional, clean & tidy, helpful but most of all very competitive on pricing and actually gave me advice on what I need and what I don’t unnecessarily need to spend money on. I will definitely be calling them back when needed as on a couple of occasions they’ve bent over backwards to fit me into my tight schedule. Thanks again for all your work Guys! Oh and the nice lady in the office to! :)

Without previously having any connection with Starks Electrical I selected them because of their well presented web site. I took a chance in confirming my decision in the circumstances that they were unable to quote an end price for the job since the fault required investigation. A fixed price for an inspection was agreed, I was lucky that the remedy was discovered at the examination and was carried out successfully within the first visit. Goodwill and trust was shown by both parties , I would, from my experience, recommend Starks for honesty and efficiency when dealing with breakdown repairs.

Needed a Hob installed very close to Christmas, Starks Electrical fitted us in so a big thank you for that, very professional team, experienced, knowledgeable and courteous, even took their boots off, highly recommend and will be using again.

I contacted Starks on personal recommendation from a friend who had used them and we were very pleased with the outcome. They dealt with a realtively minor set of adjustments to switches and sockets but did so with a really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly approach. We will definitely use them for any future electrical work.

Russ and the team are extremely professional and friendly, they completed all works on schedule and on budget. We will definitely be using them again.

We have always found Russell extremely professional & immediately responsive dealing with any electrical issue. We would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Professional, punctual, polite and very fairly priced for a really good job done. The operative explained fully the whys and wherefores of what they were doing. Excellent.

Very pleased with the quality of the work and professionalism. So neat that you can't tell a new light was fitted and no repainting was necessary.

As a small general builder working on small extensions and conversions it is crucial to have contractors that are reliable, Starks electrical certainly fit that category. Working in people’s properties a pre-requisite is personable, clean, presentable a high quality of work and attention to detail. Starks electrical tick all those boxes.
