Very good team. Worked hard. Carried out exactly as we asked and left the garden neat and tidy. A first rate job.

I am delighted with the recent tree work from Merritts. Great team, super efficient, got the job done, cleared away. I thoroughly recommend this company.

Simply excellent. This is our second time using Merritts services and they have, yet again, been very professional, on time, and super helpful!

I work as an Arboricultural consultant advising clients and looking after their tree stock. In this case we had a large limb fail on a mature Lime as a result of decay. Mark attended site at short notice and booked in an emergency visit within 7 days, the work involved pollarding the tree to reduce the risk to users of the church field. Quality of work was excellent as was the service provided by Mark and his team, can thoroughly recommend as standards required were met.

We've used Mark Merritt's services for years and his team did a super job today of trimming and tidying some large conifers. Very pleased with the end result and confident that the team know their field and their craft very well.

Mark and the team are professional and personable. The job they do and the cleanup afterwards is excellent. This is our second time using Merrits and the standard has been the same.

Merritt Tree Specialists came to our property on time and did a brilliant job taking quite a lot off our long front hedge and using a long reach for the back hedge. Lovely job, nice and neat and tidy, great guys. Will be using them again soon. They were polite, hardworking and considerate.

Very smooth operation felling two trees. Site left very tidy at completion of work.

Mark and his team managed the whole process seamlessly - from quoting for the tree works through to obtaining permissions and then completing the works on the agreed date and tidying everything up afterwards. We are delighted with the finished result and the professionalism and skilled workmanship of the company

Great professional team did all that we asked of them. Sad to have a tree cut down - it had died - but good to know it could be taken down efficiently and with no damage or left over mess to deal with.

Merritt Tree Specialists trimmed our trees And we are very pleased. Cleared up afterwards and took all the trimmings away. Very helpful no hesitation in recommending them

I recently used Merritt Tree Surgeons for tree felling and lopping. I cannot praise the work they did highly enough! I would not hesitate to use them again! 10/10

Excellent service and good value. We were home when the work was completed and they worked hard to ensure everything was exactly as we wanted it.

Prompt and efficient service. Site cleaned up and all material removed. A job well done. Thank you.

Used Merritt's twice recently. To prune a large tree and take out tree stumps. Mar gave me a lot of helpful advice on the degree of pruning I should do and Tom and his crew did a great job on that and the stump grinding that needed a mini unit as no side access to garden. Would definitely use them again.

Very easy to do business with. Mark gathered all requirements and gave good advice. Good price. The team on site were thorough, very polite. They checked all was well and cleared up. Highly recommended

I’m incredibly impressed with Mark’s work — he did an outstanding job! I honestly don’t know how he managed to remove everything so efficiently and safely, all in just one day. The site was left clean and tidy, and the whole process was handled with great professionalism. Interestingly, just a couple of days before the job, one of the trees actually fell — which really confirmed that removing them was the right decision. I'm grateful for Mark’s quick response and expert advice throughout. Highly recommended!

Very Professional service

I am disabled and was in need of wood chips for my garden. I'd had weed membrane put down and the chippings were to cover. I emailed Merritt asking if it would be possible to have a load. I got an email back within 24hrs saying they would be happy to help. Just be aware it could be any time as there busy. I pulled my blinds up in the lounge and there it was. Like a truck load nicely left on my driveway. Thank you for your help. I can have a maintenance free garden now which is such a massive thing to me. I would 100% recommend them. Also they have been doing my in-laws tree work for many years. When your asked to come back time after time like my in-laws do shows the level of there work and experience. Thank you again. Paul

Very satisfied with the work carris out. Friendly, helpful workers. Clear-up excellent. Highly recommended.

Lovely work from a hard-working and very pleasant crew of three headed by Mark Merritt - and they did a great job of clearing up after themselves. I apologise for forgetting to provide water/squash - it totally slipped my mind - but I hope the coffee and Kitkats helped! We are very lucky to have such excellent local skills available to us here in Winchester - there too many untrained opportunists in the gardening industry these days but Merritt's are the real thing...

Very polite, very efficient, and very tidy.

Excellent, friendly service. Impeccable work, and, importantly, the guys cleaned up beautifully afterwards, leaving our trees and shrubs looking fantastic. We've used a few companies in the past for our tree work, but now wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommended!

5 star service! The guys were great, did a good job thinning trees at the back of the garden and removing some other trees. Worked hard, cleared up well and all very professional and friendly 🙂. Would highly recommend for any tree work that you need doing.

Another outstanding experience with Mark and his team. Professional, knowledgeable, caring and respectful , they never fail to deliver the best of service and quality of tree surgery. Our garden thrives thanks to them. They not only do a great job in the actual tree and shrub cutting but don't leave until they have cleared up impeccably and are a pleasure to have around. You have total peace of mind and confidence in their ability and your garden will thank you!

We have used Merritt Tree Specialists on a number of occasions to cut back trees and bring things back under control. Professional and friendly staff who do a great job. They listen carefully to what you want done and check regularly as the job progresses to remove any risk of them cutting back too far! Everything left clean and tidy. Would highly recommend

Tom and the team did a great job, the tree had got far too big for the garden, and needed a major cut back, we’re very pleased with the result. The team were punctual, polite, and left everything very tidy. Will definitely be using Merritt again.

A always, excellent work, very professional and clear away all the debris

Clean work and very efficient. Would not hesitate to recommend Merritt Tree Specialists.

I am very pleased with the pruning of the tree branches along the fence line. Branches as high as 40 feet very tackled. Tactful negotiation with the neighbouring property owner was necessary and Merritt did just that.

Excellent service. Prompt, friendly and did as expected. Left no mess so a big bonus

Really happy with the service provided throughout the whole process from gaining planning permission to tidying up after trimming the tree into shape. Also very satisfied with the ongoing tree management plan. Very user-friendly, efficient and helpful. Would recommend.

Neil and his two colleagues cut back our high fence and ivy creeping high up the wall very efficiently. They were professional and pleasant and explained what they were doing. I haven't had to have Merritts help for some time and they are as excellent as they ever were. Cleaned up and left the garden tidy.

This is a truly professional outfit that carries out the work with polite efficiency. Each member of the team back each other up and they know their roles. The team was comprised of varying ages too. It was very refreshing to deal with a team who were keen to make sure the work was to our satisfaction. Somewhat unusual in this day and age, was the cheerful politeness displayed throughout. After the work was completed, the site was meticulously tidied and cleaned up. An excellent job done and I would recommend Merritt tree specialists very strongly.

V polite and knowledgeable. Arrived promptly, did a great job of removing a dead branch and left the garden very tidy.

Fantastic service, from quote visit, to the completion of works. Very efficient, thank you!

Excellent professional and friendly service

Excellent careful focussed professional tree care in our garden. Good-natured, helpful and wonderfully good at clearing up!

Merritts reduced and reshaped the crown of two mature trees with great skill and care and tidied up thoroughly afterwards. They were very courteous and committed to achieving the results we were looking for.

We really appreciated Mark’s advice on the best way forward with an ailing tree. On the day staff were prompt, courteous, tidy and involved us at all stages with the work that they were doing. We would use Mark again.

Quick and efficient. Cleaned up and even took a bag of greenery with them that wasn’t part of the job for free. Highly recommend.

Really great company to deal with. Clearly know their stuff & knowledgeable about plants / tree names / lots of expertise on garden generally. Good communication from the start. The 3 guys did a really nice job of trimming & re-shaping over- grown trees, removing shrubs, offering lots of good advice. Even in the pouring rain. Tidied up perfectly at the end. Highly recommend.

Professional from start to finish, honest and trustworthy advice regarding the work that didn't need doing. Arrived to carry out the work when expected, cleared up well after themselves and the whole team was friendly and helpful. The quote was very realistic and the work was completed to cost. Very happy and I will definitely use again.

As always a thorough, expert and professional service provided by Mark and his team.

The job was very neatly done and left no mess.

Excellent service as always. Two Oaks trees removed minimum fuss and upmost professionalism.

Excellent. A prompt quote from Mark and swift service by very friendly and helpful team - removed three tree stumps and left the garden neat and tidy.

We have used Merritt befor and we're happy to do so this time. We had a very quick response to our email request and a couple of days later a visit by a Merritt surveyor. Very friendly and received excellent advice. A day later we received an email quite which we accepted. A few days later we were given a date for the works and the rest is history. Three tree fellers, friendly, very hard workers, sorted the job and cleaned up afterwards. No fuss, just efficient work. We are really very please. See them again in 3/4 years. Oh and the price was absolutely fine.

Efficient and professional tree surgeons. We have used Merritts for a number of years and they always do an excellent job - highly recommended.

Very professional, it was quite a sight to see the boys scaling our enormous trees and lowering the large cut sections to the ground with no damage to the shrubs and bushes below. Left the site clean and tidy. Would highly recommend this company.

Fast, efficient and knowledgable about tree health. Has the equipment to do a good job, and thorough site cleanup.

We've used Merritt a few times now, and keep coming back. We had a very professional crew, turned up punctually and did all the work requested while being very helpful and polite. They have modern, quiet equipment which is good. All the cuttings and clippings were taken away so we were very satisfied with how the work was done, as well as the results.

Mark and his team did a perfect job, and very reasonably priced. Thank you!

Mark has been very helpful so far and we are now waiting for the work ordered to be undertaken later in August.

Friendly workmen, very efficient and professional. Cleared and tidied up after the job was complete. Cannot be faulted.

Excellent service from start to finish. Tree now looking so much better.

An easy company to deal with. Arrived on time for survey, they raised a timely quote. We accepted. They did all the council required applications, kept informed of progress. Organised plant an access platform was required and took away the fallen tree (a large disease sycamore). All debris cleared. Additional work carried out on the day at very acceptable cost. Invoice only raised after all works were completed.

Merritt Tree Specialists took down a very old, enormous, diseased Ash tree for us and they took care of everything from managing communications and permissions with the council, to arranging safety measures with utilities, managing traffic and cleaning-up after the tree had come down. They did a very professional job from start to finish and we would not hesitate to hire them again.

Excellent work. The job carried out as specified and the site left clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Merritt Tree Specialists

This is a very reliable company - they keep the client fully informed; they arrive at the time/day specified; the staff are polite and eager to please; they work efficiently and clear up very well. The administration is done in a very efficient manner. The boss works with them and some staff have been working here on previous occasions, so there is a feeling of continuity. Fully recommended....

Excellent service - I cannot recommend them highly enough. Team arrived on time, conducted the works with very high safety practices, and cleaned up all areas. Furthermore, they switched machinery off when not in use and 'batch processed' in order to make all noise minimal. Thoroughly professional. Very little (to none) damage to an established lawn.
